Recap: After examining the autopsy report on Sorel, Mac and Taggert were stunned to realize that Sorel had been smothered by a pillow. They wondered exactly how Sorel had died since the respirator was also turned off and he was hooked up to an EKG stimulator. Mac speculated that the murder investigation had become murkier than ever. Sonny enjoyed breakfast while Adam and Johnny brought in a bound and gagged A.J. Sonny very casually asked A.J. if he was ready to be a man and give up rights to Michael. A.J. told Sonny that he would never walk away from his son, and he accused Carly of being an unfit parent. Sonny warned him to leave Carly out of the discussion, and he outlined all the reasons that A.J. wasn't good enough to be Michael's father. He brought out papers and suggested that A.J. sign away his final rights to Michael or deal with the consequences. A.J. refused, so Sonny had him put on a meat hook and left him to cool off and rethink his decision. Jax ran into Helena in the hallway of the hotel and hid his surprise when she asked him about the young woman staying in his room. She didn't seem to know who Kristina was, but warned him that his time would be better spent with her than by trifling with Cassadine affairs. Inside, Jax was displeased to see Alexis, Kristina, and Stefan sitting cozily together and talking. Sensing that he was on overload, Kristina decided to take a nap, but not before hugging her half-brother and Alexis, and then thanking Jax for giving her back her family. Jax and Stefan continued to butt heads over Chloe, but their argument was stalled when Mac showed up. He told them that Chloe's autopsy had shown a blood type that wasn't hers, and he asked Stefan if he would be willing to take a DNA test. Against Alexis' advisement, Stefan agreed. Before leaving the hotel, Stefan and Alexis visited Helena, and he threatened his mother's life if she tried to hurt anyone he loved again. Taggert went to Carly's house and tried to trick her into confessing by telling her that Angel had told him everything. Carly told him that Angel was a liar, but he said that Angel had seen what Carly did to Sorel. Just then, Angel spoke up from the doorway and said that all she had told Taggert was that Carly was driving around town without a license. Carly was stunned that Angel would protect her, and the two women told Taggert that his efforts at entrapment were pathetic. When he left, Angel told Carly that the only reason she didn't rat her out was because she didn't want Sonny racing to Carly's rescue. She accused Carly of being a terrible mother who only used her son to keep a man who didn't want her. Carly retorted that Angel was a terrible daughter who didn't seem to care that her father had been killed. Mike came in and interrupted their argument and asked Angel to leave. Carly showed him the pictures of Jax that she had stolen from Angel's house and mused that when Sonny learned of the Jax/Angel connection, he would be furious. To that end, she went to the lake house to try and get more evidence. Instead, she saw Jax drop Kristina off, and she knocked on the door to introduce herself to the newcomer. At the Quartermaine mansion, everyone was surprised when Zander showed up at Emily's behest to make sure that Lila was well. Alan and Monica were angry that he had checked himself out of the hospital, and Edward was angry that Zander wasn't in jail for murdering Sorel. Ned deflected the tirade by asking Edward about his alibi for the night of the murder. A sputtering Edward claimed that he had a business meeting, but wouldn't elaborate. Eager to leave, Zander told them that if Lila was all right, he would go. Alan didn't want him to leave and asked Zander to move into the mansion in order to be safe. Realizing that Alan was simply trying to keep him away from Sonny, Zander thanked him, but didn't accept the offer. In the police station, Stefan submitted to the DNA exam, but told Mac that he should also have Helena take the test. Mac asked if he had proof that Helena had murdered Chloe. Stefan declared that he wasn't asking Mac to arrest his mother for murdering Chloe, he wanted her arrested for murdering him.
