Recap:Stavros questioned Helena about the Spencer family's undue influence over Nikolas. He wanted to know how such a thing had been allowed to happen. Rather than admit that she couldn't control Nikolas, Helena blamed everything on Stefan. She told Stavros that Stefan had an affair with Laura and was obsessed with making a family for himself with Laura and Nikolas. Stavros exploded with rage and was ready to find his brother and kill him immediately. Helena calmed him by reminding him that with their plan, everyone would suffer. Eager to begin, Stavros went to Wyndemere and spied on Stefan. Gia took a reluctant Nikolas to dinner at the PC Grille to discuss a career change for him. After hearing him sing at the Nurses Ball, she was convinced that he could have a bright future as a singing sensation. Nikolas wanted no part of such a career, though he was pleased that she thought he was talented. Gia wasn't quite finished coercing him and had a music representative come to talk to them. Nikolas was flattered by the man's attention, but revealed that he had no interest in a music career. Gia and Nikolas were surprised when Stefan came up to them and was polite to them both and wished them a pleasant evening. Gia thought it might be a trick, but Nikolas hoped his uncle was sincere for a change. At the Grille's bar, Stefan sat with Chloe and observed Gia and Nikolas. He confessed to Chloe that seeing his nephew so happy made him realize that he had been wrong to try and thwart the relationship. Stefan declared that he wanted to start again, not only with Nikolas, but as a person. To that end, he asked Chloe if she would be willing to consider him a special project and help him regain his humanity. Though wary of his motives, Chloe decided to believe he was being genuine. She went with him to Wyndemere so they could further discuss things in private. Carly was on the phone demanding help from Benny when A.J. barged into the Penthouse. He had a court order demanding that Carly reveal Michael's whereabouts. Alexis came in and Carly shoved the paper at her and asked for help. After perusing the document, Alexis coolly reminded A.J. that he had given up all rights to Michael and therefore had no right to make demands about his son. A.J. left, but not before warning Carly that he would get Michael back. Alexis agreed to help Carly deal with A.J., but only for Sonny and Michael's sake. Before she could leave, Carly was served with more papers, this time about her accident with Angel. Exasperated, Alexis said she would take care of everything since Carly served as a great distraction in her life. Livid that Angel would press charges against her, Carly asked Mike to drive her to the lakehouse. Angel woke up after having spent the night next to Sonny on the loveseat. She apologized for keeping him awake, but he told her it was the peace and quiet that had disturbed him. Angel asked about the quality of his life and he told her that he was constantly at war, especially with his archenemy Sorel. At mention of Sorel's misdeeds, Angel stood up and looked off into the distance. Angel confessed that she had been married and had been betrayed by someone she loved so she understood how Sonny felt about his wife. Twisting off his wedding ring, Sonny asked her if he could stay with her a little longer. Angel told him he could stay as long as he wanted. Zander kept guard by Emily's bedside and refused to leave even when Alan demanded it. Ned took Zander outside when A.J. arrived for a visit and asked Zander to tell him the truth about what was going on. Zander finally admitted that Sorel had sent men after him and Emily and Zander didn't trust anyone to watch out for her. Ned promised to put guards outside of Emily's door, but Zander didn't feel that was good enough. He asked Ned what he would do if Alexis was in danger and Ned reluctantly said he would do whatever it took to keep her safe. Zander spotted Sorel's henchman and tried to catch him but couldn't. Ned told him to sit with Emily and later commanded Alan and Monica to let Zander stay. Meanwhile, Sorel raged at his man for not being able to kill Zander and Emily. He wanted to make an example of Zander as to what happened to someone who testified against him. He also felt that killing Zander and Emily would lure Sonny out of hiding. Disgusted by his associate's failure, he put him on a new assignment. He told him to follow Carly because the surest way to hurt Sonny was to hurt the woman he loved.
