Recap: Edward hired security guards to surround the mansion and make sure that Sorel and his men could not get to Emily. While Monica found the measures excessive, she did agree that Emily needed to be more careful. A commotion outside disturbed them all and Zander was dragged in by two of the security guards. Edward wanted them to take him away, but Emily's suggestion was that Zander move into the mansion where everyone could keep an eye on him. Zander told her that he wasn't going to do that despite her objections. On the patio, Skye slyly suggested that Emily and Zander should run away to be safe and to be together. Sticking to his and Ned's plan for A.J. to get closer to Skye, A.J. had a private moment with her where he commented on how alike they truly were. He surmised that it might be better for them to work together on being accepted into the family instead of working at cross-purposes. Skye contemplated his proposal and agreed that she would give it some thought. Worked up over the possible threat to Emily, Alan went to Sonny's Penthouse to warn him that he wouldn't let anything happen to his daughter. Sonny wasn't there, but Alexis heard him and told him that Sonny had nothing to do with Sorel or Emily. At Lily's grave, Carly was devastated when she found Sonny's briefcase and blood stains on the bench. A shadow crossed over her and she quickly turned, hoping it would be Sonny. Instead, it was Sorel. She begged him to tell her where Sonny was and promised that she would do anything if he would take her to her husband. Sorel appeared to be interested in her offer, but then one of his men called him away on urgent business. A distraught Carly returned to the Penthouse to find Alexis and Alan lying in wait. She kicked Alan out and asked Alexis what they were going to do about Sonny. Alexis made no bones about the fact that she blamed Carly for whatever had happened to Sonny. In fact, it was Alexis's hope that Sonny would never return to his wife. Meanwhile, Sonny grew increasingly feverish and dreamt of Carly trying to help him. He kept trying to push her away and woke up to see Angel. Needing a distraction, he asked her to tell him her story. She told him that she lived alone and supported herself, but she didn't tell him how. He ended up knowing nothing more than he did at the start of the conversation, but felt that he could trust her anyway. When his fever raged out of control and turned into cold shivers, Angel slipped into bed with him. Melissa asked Roy point blank if he had any feelings left for her. When Roy hesitated, Melissa was embarrassed and tried to leave. Roy stopped her and admitted that he did have feelings for her, but given their past, he was determined not to hurt her. Melissa felt that they should start fresh as though they had no past. Nikolas worried over his financial straits when tons of bills came in that he couldn't pay. He was annoyed at Gia for racking up a huge phone bill, but she shrugged it all off as daily reality. Nikolas admitted that he wasn't ready for the responsibility of being a penniless person. Gia promised him that they would deal with everything together and the last thing she wanted him to do was return to the Cassadines because it was easier. Nikolas was grateful for her support and unconditional love, but still fretted over the future.
