She displayed a sauciness that Sonny found intriguing, and he asked her why it was that she always wore white. Angel told him that after her husband died, everyone expected her to wear black in mourning, but it reminded her too much of her grandmother, so she wore white instead. Sonny surprised himself and Angel by offering to help her make Sorel's funeral arrangements, and they left for the lake house. Carly went to the lake house to see Angel, but when Angel didn't answer, she went inside and started rummaging around. She found an undeveloped roll of film and managed to pocket it just before Sonny and Angel showed up. Nikolas was furious with Elizabeth for not telling him that she had taken the Ice Princess. He was also angry because Lucky threw the diamond away, therefore decreasing their chances of releasing him from Helena's control. Liz was stung when Nikolas suggested that it might be better for her to stay away from Lucky. He soon apologized and told her that the stress of everything was making him crazy. Jax was annoyed with Alexis when she refused to believe that Stefan had killed Chloe. She even decided to act as her brother's legal counsel since it seemed that no one else was available to represent him. Stavros waited for Laura in her office and smiled when he heard her in the hallway. She wasn't alone, however, as Scott had accompanied her to the office. Laura was thanking Scott for surprising her on her business trip and turning it into one of pleasure. She wanted to go into her office to return business calls, but Scott convinced her to leave it alone for one more night. They were interrupted when Lucky and Gia came in to show them new photo shoot pictures. Laura was stunned when Gia filled her in on Lucky and Liz's breakup as well as Luke's erratic behavior. After berating Scott for keeping her family's business a secret from her, she sought out Liz and Nikolas for more answers. Laura reeled when they told her about their plan to help Lucky. When Nikolas left, Liz revealed to Laura that the damage to Lucky was much more intense than they had realized. Stavros ran into Gia and apologized for spending so much time apart from her. He offered to make it up to her by taking her to dinner, but when Lucky came in, he told Stavros to leave her alone. He didn't remember who Stavros was, but he told Gia that the man was dangerous. Later, Stavros left blood-colored red roses on Laura's desk along with a note saying that he couldn't wait to see her again. Ned was intrigued by Kristina, who refused to introduce herself or to give him an explanation about her disguise. Their flirtation was interrupted when Ned received a call from Jax asking him to hurry to the police station. Ned was devastated when he learned of Chloe's death, and when he found out that Stefan was the chief suspect, he lunged at him. His rage turned to sadness when he saw Alexis, who broke down in his arms. Unbeknownst to them both, Kristina had followed Ned to the station and watched them from a corner.
