Recap: Carly was furious to learn that Sonny had spent time at the lake house with Angel. She accused him of betraying her and breaking their marriage vows, but Sonny reminded her that she had been the one to destroy their marriage. Carly reeled when he casually revealed that he had hid in Angel's bedroom when she went to the lake house and spoke of her love for him. He told her that their marriage was over and she had to learn to live with it. Enraged, Carly said there was no way she would allow Angel to have him. Angel was overwhelmed by memories of her father, and she even had a vision of Sorel standing in her house. He wondered how she could be so calm after what she had done to him. Angry with herself for not being able to forget him, Angel yelled at the vision and he disappeared. She went to the police station with the intent of claiming Sorel's body so that she could bury him. While there, Angel overheard Taggert and Mac discussing their plan to nail Sonny for Sorel's murder. Angel immediately called Sonny to warn him. Back at the lake house, she finished packing away her childhood mementos and prepared to leave. When she opened the door, a fuming Carly was waiting on the other side. Edward forced the current police captain out of the PCPD because he preferred to have Mac in charge. Mac told him that he didn't necessarily want the position, but Taggert said that the department desperately needed his leadership. Mac agreed to resume his position as Port Charles Police Commissioner, and his first act of duty would be to head up the Sorel murder investigation. To that end, he and Taggert went to Sonny's office to question him about his whereabouts on the night that Sorel was killed. Gia headed to Wyndemere to let Stefan and Alexis know that she planned on suing the Cassadine family as Lucien/Stavros had suggested. Stefan was more concerned with the brooch she wore. He asked to see it, and he told Alexis that it was a Cassadine family pendant. Stavros listened from a hidden corridor as Stefan deduced that Helena had given Gia the brooch. Gia wouldn't confirm or deny where she had received it; she simply reiterated her intent to destroy the Cassadines as they had attempted to destroy her. When she left, Alexis advised Stefan not to let Helena get to him. She reminded him that their main focus needed to be getting Nikolas away from her. Elizabeth was devastated when Lucky told her that he didn't love her anymore. No matter what she did to try and break through to him, he rejected her. Nikolas came in and Lucky told him that he was welcome to have Liz because he didn't want her. They tried to keep Lucky contained in the house, but he decked Nikolas and ran out. Liz expressed her anger at Nikolas for bringing Helena to Lucky in the first place. He felt that it was the only real way for them to see how she controlled him, and Liz admitted that she had learned the technique. She told him that Helena used a large diamond and Nikolas immediately concluded that it was the Ice Princess. He and Liz schemed on the best way to steal it from Helena. Helena was thrilled to receive a visit from Jax at her hotel room. He casually told her that he had raided several of her companies and would continue to devastate her if she didn't back off of Alexis. Helena was annoyed that he still cared about "the little mouse" and told Jax that she could think of a better way for him to spend his energy. Amused, Jax reinforced his threat before leaving. Helena later told Stavros that Jax might cause them a few problems, but he was unconcerned. Down at the docks, Lucky was tortured by memories of Helena's brainwashing and visions of Liz. He shouted out in frustration, but clammed up when Gia came along. She was relieved to see him and gratified to hear that he had broken up with Liz. He suggested that she forget about Nikolas in the same manner. When she said that it was hard to forget Nikolas, Lucky theorized that he had a way to help. Then he pulled her into a passionate kiss.
