Preview: Sonny re-hires Alexis as his attorney.
Recap: Alexis walked into Sonny's office as Mac and Taggert were in the midst of interrogating him. She commanded them to leave and told them that she was Sonny's attorney of record and anything they needed to say they could funnel through her. When they left, Sonny asked Alexis when she had decided to be his lawyer again. Alexis told him that while she didn't agree with all of his business practices, she now had a better understanding of his world and was willing to deal with it. She asked Sonny if he would rehire her and was stunned when he said no. He asserted that he would rather have her friendship than have their business dealings interfere with their friendship. She assured him that it would no longer be a problem and told him that she needed to work with him to distract herself from her life. Sonny agreed to take her on again, much to her relief. Carly stormed into the lake house and accused Angel of plotting to take Sonny away from her. Angel defended her actions and said that Carly had destroyed Sonny's life, while Angel had saved it. Carly believed that the only thing Angel was saving was Sonny for herself. The two women traded barbs about their respective unsuitability as Sonny's chosen companion. When Carly spied the angel she had given Sonny, she deduced that Angel had stolen it. She hurled it against the wall and warned Angel that she would never have Sonny. Carly rushed to the police station and interrupted Mac and Taggert's conversation about the Sorel investigation. She told them that she wanted Angel arrested immediately. Unbeknownst to her, Sonny went to the lake house to visit Angel right after she left. Gia was stunned when Lucky pulled her into a kiss. When she finally broke away, she asked him why he had kissed her. Lucky claimed that his feelings for Liz were dead, and he was ready to revamp his life. He wanted to forget about his family, Nikolas, and Liz and just concentrate on having a good time. He told Gia about a drag race that he planned on entering, and she worried that he was trying to get himself killed -- especially since he was racing with Nikolas' Jaguar. Just before the race started, Gia hopped into the car and told Lucky that he wasn't going anywhere without her. Jax attempted to search Helena's hotel room for clues, but his search came to a halt when Helena returned. He hid on the terrace as Stefan soon followed Helena into the room. He confronted his mother about her plot to drive him crazy and told her that no matter what she did, she wouldn't succeed. Helena claimed genuine ignorance until she realized that Stavros was behind the scheme. Then she laughed gleefully and told Stefan that he would definitely be destroyed, but it wouldn't be at her hands. Stefan left when Helena received a call from Nikolas. Stavros secretly watched Liz and Nikolas talking at the PC Grille. He had the host arrange a private table for him where he could watch his son undetected. Chloe joined him for dinner and questioned the way he constantly hid when a Cassadine was present. She told him that Stefan had no memory of dealing with him, and yet he seemed to know everything about Stefan's life. Stavros as Lucien claimed that he had thoroughly researched Stefan's past. He told her a story of Stefan inadvertently killing a peasant girl in Greece and never paying for the crime. Chloe told him that she had no interest in hearing about Stefan or Lucien's apparent vendetta. Nikolas and Liz met to discuss their plan to steal the Ice Princess from Helena. Nikolas was determined to search Helena's room himself, but Liz reminded him that he was the only person who could distract Helena. She figured that while he kept his grandmother away, she would search the room. Nikolas reluctantly agreed to the plan and called Helena to ask her to meet him for dinner. Dressed as a maid, Liz snuck into Helena's hotel room and looked around. Meanwhile, at the Grille, Nikolas was startled when his grandmother had to bow out of dinner early to take care of business. He rushed to the hotel and told Liz that they had to get out of there immediately. Just then, they heard noises coming from the hallway.
