Recap:The fragile peace between Ned and Alexis died a quick death when he began berating her again for her dealings with Sonny and Carly. Exasperated, Alexis asked if he could please sing a different tune. She wondered when he had become so narrow-minded and judgmental, but Ned believed that her judgment was cloudy. When she passionately defended Sonny and her relationship with him, Ned hinted that her feelings for Sonny went deeper than she was saying. Alexis told him he was ridiculous and stalked away. In the park, Stavros told Carly that he was more than willing to divert her attention from her problems. He grabbed her and kissed her, but Carly slapped him and pulled away. Though he tried to make it seem as though she had wanted him, Carly assured him that nothing was further from the truth. Alexis saved her just in time and naturally, Stavros disappeared before she could see him. Helena upbraided Stavros for taking so many risky chances, but he told her to essentially mind her own business. Mike made a final attempt to persuade Sonny to if not forgive Carly, to at least come home. Sonny said he would think about returning to Port Charles, but he wouldn't go back to Carly. He recognized that Carly's intentions were good if misguided, but he maintained that she wasn't trustworthy. Mike wondered if Sonny wasn't mistakenly trusting Angel just to rid himself of Carly. Sonny said that Angel had proven reliable thus far and that's what he based his trust on. After Mike left, Sonny found Angel's photo album and rifled through it. Angel caught him and yelled at him for snooping through her things. Sonny apologized and offered her a game of truth instead. He asked her generic questions about her life, but she turned the tables and asked him if he was planning on returning to Carly. Emily and Zander were in shock when her bodyguard Harry pulled a gun on them. Zander surmised that Harry worked for Sorel and he tried to bargain with the man. While he spoke to Harry, Emily tried to press her call button for help. Harry spotted her and pointed the gun toward her. Zander convinced the man to take him and leave Emily behind. In the hallway, Zander jumped Harry and tried to get the gun away. Ned and a legitimate bodyguard rushed in to help subdue Harry. Zander asked one of the male nurses to call the police and he went to check on Emily. He found her crying on the floor and called for a doctor. Alan came in and Emily yelled in frustration that she hadn't been able to help. Alan soothed her by saying even that movement was encouraging. Meanwhile, Ned asked Zander what his new plan was to keep Emily safe. Zander refused to walk out on Emily, but he surprised everyone by asking Alan to send Emily away from him. A.J. told Skye that he would be willing to make Emily's letter disappear if she would help him in his quest to get custody of Michael. Even though he had her over a barrel, Skye was reluctant to help A.J. because she didn't think very highly of him. A.J. won her over by talking about his deep love for Michael. He told her that he didn't want Michael to grow up resenting him the way that Skye resented her parents. Putting her mistrust of him aside, Skye agreed to help him. Taggert and his police force burst into Sorel's motel room hoping to nab him. Instead, they found one of his associates dead and no trace of Sorel. Mike went to the Penthouse to check on Carly and found her in the same desperate state he'd left her in before. Without telling her that he had spoken to Sonny, Mike told her that he believed Sonny would come home--just maybe not to her. He assured her that he knew Sonny would take care of her and Michael, but Carly didn't want to be a burden, she wanted to be a wife. Before leaving, Mike advised her to be patient and rational. Carly heard a noise at the door and thought it might be Sonny. Instead, Sorel came through the door and smiled at her.
