Recap:Luke studied blueprints of the hospital to try and uncover the secret that Helena was keeping there. He flashed back to the dream he'd had of the maze and Stavros and just as he got to the part where Laura held out his hands to him, he woke up from the daze. The real Laura was standing in front of him, holding a ring in her hand. She told him about what she believed was Helena's latest ploy and she confessed to Luke that she had been thinking of Stavros a lot of late. Luke admitted that he had as well, but he reminded her that it was simply because the war was heating up again. Laura recognized the truth in that and said that because of the feud, she was cancelling her Deception business trip. Luke urged her to take the trip in order to keep Lulu and herself safe from the Cassadine machinations. Laura worried about Nikolas and Lucky's safety and Luke assured her that he would keep an eye on them both. Laura hugged him in gratitude since she knew he really didn't like Nikolas. Helena found Stavros enjoying a gourmet meal and demanded to know where he had been since she had scoured the town looking for him. He coolly informed her that he had paid Laura a visit. Helena was stunned by his audacity and he assured her that he hadn't let Laura see him, though he had left her a gift. Helena warned him that his obsession with Laura was going to ruin their plans for world domination. Stavros laughed and reminded his mother that that was her wish, not his. He simply wanted to take back everything that belonged to him. He told her that her games with Luke Spencer were at an end because he was ready to win the final match. Zander was wheeled into the hospital and Monica decided to perform the surgery he needed. She was determined not to have to tell Emily that she had watched her boyfriend die. During the surgery--which Alan observed--Monica discovered an irregularity in Zander's heart that caused them a major problem. Alan suggested a tactic she could use to save him and she was highly relieved when it worked. After the surgery, she gave Alexis an optimistic report about Zander's recovery. Alexis was infuriated to learn that she had broken her left wrist and would have to wear a cast for six weeks. She yelled that she had too much work to do to be out of commission. Ned laughed at her arrogance and told her that maybe it would give her a chance to take a much needed break. Mike renewed his argument with Angel about her sticking around to find out about Sonny. He couldn't believe that his son had started a relationship with her while he was still married to Carly. Angel replied that her relationship with Sonny wasn't what Mike thought. She was merely a concerned friend. Liz demanded that Nikolas take a moment to explain himself and Nikolas finally outlined his plan to save Lucky. The only problem was, he didn't really want to have to lie to Gia and break her heart. Yet he knew that if he didn't leave her, Helena would never believe that his intention to rejoin the clan was sincere. Though Liz was sympathetic to his pain, she didn't feel that Nikolas had a choice. Saving Lucky was much more important than his relationship and she was certain that in time, Gia would understand that. Lucky provided a stable shoulder for Gia to lean on at the hospital as she worried about her brother. The two also discussed Nikolas and neither of them could figure out what was making him so crazy. When Liz and Nikolas came to the hospital, Gia refused to leave until Nikolas cleared the air with all of them present. Carly heard the watch on Sonny's alarm go off and she dug through the rubble at the Penthouse to try and find him. The watch was there, but Sonny wasn't. Bobbie tried to pull Carly away and told her that it was time to give up. Just as Carly neared a total breakdown, a battered Sonny emerged from the kitchen. Carly ran to him and Sonny allowed her to embrace him. He was angry with her for putting herself in danger when he had given her plenty of time to get out of the Towers. Carly responded that she couldn't leave while his life was in danger. Sonny promised her that he would never let anything happen to her and she gently caressed his face. While the paramedics looked him over, Bobbie took Carly into the hallway and suggested that since Sonny was alive, it was time for them to leave. Unbeknownst to them, Angel watched in the background as Carly told her mother that she would never leave Sonny, even if he didn't want her around. She went back inside and told Sonny that as long as they were together, nothing else mattered.
