Recap: Carly frantically hid when Angel and Sonny returned to the lake house. Upon entering, Angel immediately figured out that someone had been there, and Sonny searched the premises. Recap: Carly frantically hid when Angel and Sonny returned to the lake house. Upon entering, Angel immediately figured out that someone had been there, and Sonny searched the premises. He didn't find anyone, but he offered to send his men out as protection. Angel declared that with her father dead, she was no longer in jeopardy. She invited Sonny to stay for a glass of wine or a boat ride on the lake, but he declined. When he left, Angel angrily ordered Carly to come out. Without an ounce of shame, Carly emerged from her hiding place and immediately started berating Angel for trying to seduce Sonny. Carly told her rival that she would never have Sonny and advised her to back off. On the lake house porch, Carly privately gloated over the roll of film she had found, as she believed whatever the pictures were, they would be bad news for Angel. Alan visited a restless Zander in the hospital and offered him protection from the police department's questions. Zander was suspicious of Alan's helpfulness and wondered at the sudden change. Alan smiled knowingly and said that he was certain that Zander hadn't killed Sorel. He wanted to help Zander because he believed that he was trying to turn his life around. Zander thanked Alan, but informed him that he would be working with Sonny. When Alan vehemently disagreed with that plan, Sonny came in and told him it was none of his business. Alan gave Zander Emily's number at the hospital and suggested that he talk things over with her. Sonny asked Zander if he was certain that he wanted to get involved in the kind of life the mob offered. He outlined the various bad things he had done — and continued to do — and cautioned the teen against rushing into the business. Zander just as steadfastly claimed that he could handle whatever the life brought him, and he accepted Sonny's job offer. Alexis tried to pull herself together at the police station and told Ned that while she thanked him for his comfort, she had to be strong and focused. She alluded to almost finding something important on the same day that she had lost something equally as important. Ned questioned whether that had something to do with her mother and the necklace, but Alexis shut him out by saying that she couldn't discuss anything with him. Not knowing how else to help her, Ned left to tell his family about Chloe. Kristina, who had been watching Alexis from a corner, stepped forward and started to introduce herself. Busying herself with papers, Alexis told her that she didn't have time to talk, and Kristina left in a huff. At the Quartermaine mansion, A.J. triumphantly informed Monica and Edward that he would soon be getting custody of Michael. He told them that he was helping the police to build a case against Carly for Sorel's murder. Edward was pleased with his grandson's deviousness, and even Lila said she hoped that A.J. would get Michael back. When Alan came in, he asked if anyone had seen Chloe, but no one had. Shortly thereafter, Ned came in and gave them the sad and shocking news of Chloe's death. Kristina returned to the hotel to find Jax pacing with worry. She told him that she had seen Alexis and realized that she was a stuffy corporate lawyer. Kristina decided that she didn't want to meet Alexis after all; instead, she wanted to leave town immediately. Jax brought her down a notch when he told her about Chloe's death and how much it was hurting them all. Kristina instantly apologized and realized that she had jumped to an erroneous conclusion. A knock at the door sent her hiding, and Jax opened the door to a weeping Alexis. He managed to make her smile, and she thanked him for being such a great friend. She told him that as much as she wanted to meet Kristina, the meeting should wait until she was in better shape. Kristina came out of the other room and declared that it was too late. She and Alexis stared at each other awkwardly until Kristina handed Alexis a photograph. Alexis was stunned to see that it was a picture of her mother, and Kristina said it was her mother, too. Alexis finally grabbed Kristina in a hug and whispered that she had found her little sister.
