Nikolas declared that while he was slowly regaining his grandmother's trust, he didn't want to rush the process. He then asked Luke if it was true that he could count on him for help if he ran into trouble. Luke confirmed that he would be looking out for Nikolas. Just then, Gia came in so they staged an argument for her benefit. Exasperated, Gia told them both that they were fools who weren't worth her time. When Luke left, Gia proclaimed that she was moving out of the cottage. Since he was moving to the yacht, he was willing to let Gia have the cottage rent free. Not wanting to be in his debt, she refused and went to pack her things. As she left, Nikolas turned away to hide his tears. During the traditional Quartermaine breakfast, Alan lost his temper when Edward suggested that it would have been a good thing if Carly and Zander had died in the Penthouse explosion. Alan took Edward out onto the terrace and warned him that if he continued to poison the children with his negativity, Alan would disown him. A.J. and Skye went over their scheme to get Michael back from Carly and Sonny. When Skye was alone, Ned sauntered in and told her that he had found a letter from Emily. Skye couldn't hide her panic as she asked him which letter. He reassured her that it was a current letter that Emily sent from rehab. Sensing her relief, he told her that he knew she was the one who had convinced Emily to run away and he was going to prove it to the rest of the family. Carly sat by Zander's bedside and helped him wake from a nightmare. Carly had come to apologize for treating Zander badly and to thank him for trying to save her life. He admitted that he had acted impulsively, but said he would do it again if necessary. Carly soothed him back to sleep and went across the hall to see Sorel. The police officer guarding the door wouldn't let her in and neither would Tony. She yelled at them both for harboring and helping a potential child-murderer. She was stunned when A.J. arrived and took her side against Tony. A.J. told her that he wanted Michael to be safe and with his mother and to that end, he showed her papers that declared his intention to drop the custody case. Certain that it was a trick, Carly demanded that he leave her alone. Skye took the letter from Ned that Emily had slipped in for Zander and visited Zander in the hospital. She read parts of the letter to him and reiterated her claim that she had never wanted he or Emily to be hurt. Zander told her that she wasn't too blame before he drifted into sleep. Hearing a commotion in the hallway, Skye stepped outside and saw A.J. arguing with Carly. Because it was part of their scheme, she immediately sided with Carly against A.J. who pretended to leave in a huff. Carly was shocked when Skye admitted that she was A.J.'s long lost sister. At the lakehouse, Angel found the angel Carly had given to Sonny. She looked up to see Sonny standing in the doorway. She was surprised that he had come back, but she knew that their relationship as she knew it was over. Sonny asked her why she had visited Sorel. Angel said that Sorel deserved to die, but confessed that she used to know a different side of him, even before he'd had her husband killed. She never explained how she knew Sorel and Sonny didn't ask. He also didn't answer her when she asked if he was going back to Carly. Stavros lurked in Laura's house and waited for her to come home. When he heard a noise in the hallway, he hid and prepared to jump out and surprise her. He was the one surprised when it was Helena. She had trailed him to Laura's and berated him for his foolish pursuit of Laura. Stavros declared that as much as he hated Laura for causing him pain and for betraying him, she was still his wife and the mother of his child. He promised his mother that he would kill her before he allowed her to come between them. Luke arrived at Laura's to check on things in her absence and reacted calmly when he found Helena in the bedroom. He intimated that since Laura was out of town, Helena had him all to herself. As the two bantered back and forth, Stavros came from behind and knocked Luke unconscious.
