Recap: Jax showed up at the lake house and caught Angel skinny dipping. They were both unembarrassed by her nakedness, but she covered up so that they could discuss his reason for being there. He brought her the morning paper and a bottle of champagne to help ease the pain of her father's unsolved murder. Angel lamented that she simply wanted to bury Sorel, but the police wouldn't release his body. Jax received an urgent call from Kristina and had to leave, but reminded Angel that he would help her in any way she wanted. Angel soon had another visitor in the form of Lieutenant Taggert. Taggert was fishing for information about the nature of Angel's relationship with Sonny. Angel maintained that she and Sonny were friends and demanded that Taggert leave unless he had a legal reason to be there. In Jax's hotel room, Kristina tried on the necklace and paced the room restlessly. She searched through the phone book and found Alexis' number, but when Alexis picked up the phone, Kristina couldn't say anything. When Jax arrived, she demanded to meet Alexis immediately. Carly packed her things and prepared to leave the hotel after calling Letitia with instructions on where to bring Michael from the airport. Mike arrived, and upon seeing Carly's bags, he suggested that leaving town wasn't a good idea. Carly assured him that she wasn't going anywhere when she had a marriage to save. Carly ran into Jax in the hallway, and the two exchanged barbs about her marriage to Sonny. She warned him to stay away from her husband and to leave her alone. Mike followed Carly to the house she had rented and told her that Sonny would love the place. Carly was ecstatic when Letitia and Michael finally came, and she vowed never to be separated from her son again. After finding a note from Skye saying that she had left town for a while, Alan accused Monica of making his daughter run away. Though Monica was thrilled that Skye was gone, she claimed to have done nothing to make her leave. A.J. piped up and told them that Skye had left town at his suggestion. He confessed that Skye was helping him get Michael away from Sonny and Carly, and Sonny's threats had given Skye pause. Alan berated his son for constantly causing trouble, and he left to confront Sonny. Monica and A.J. stayed behind and speculated on whether or not Sonny had killed Sorel. When Monica relayed the details of Sorel's death, A.J. smiled and told her she had just brightened his day. He went to the police station and told Mac that Carly killed Sorel. Zander thanked the young nurse who had covered for him with the police. When she questioned the intelligence of helping him, he told her about all of the horrible things that Sorel had done. He also admitted to his own sordid past and said that Emily had helped him turn over a new leaf. He didn't want to dishonor her by getting into more trouble. The nurse promised not to say anything to the police about Zander's knowledge of how to disable hospital alarms, and Zander promised her that she wouldn't get in trouble for helping him. Sonny went to Alexis and insisted that she draw up papers for his divorce from Carly. Alexis didn't think it was a good idea for him to divorce Carly because as his wife, she didn't ever have to testify against him. She also believed that Sonny still loved Carly. Sonny was adamant that the papers be legalized immediately, and Alexis wondered if Angel was at the root of his haste. Sonny told her not to worry about his relationship with Angel, but Alexis wouldn't let the matter drop. Before they could discuss it any further, Alan showed up and demanded that Sonny stay away from all of his children. Sonny calmly deflected Alan's concerns, but when he left, Sonny told Alexis to do whatever it took to keep A.J. away from Michael.
