Far from lazy porting, Wild Rift makes complete sense on mobile. Its intelligent ergonomics create gripping confrontations and manages to restore what makes League of Legends salt. More accessible, shorter and less frustrating, the games of this mobile version could represent a perfect compromise for players who have dropped out of LoL and its grueling games, or for those left on the sidelines by its demanding prerequisites. If we had had expectations about it for months and months, Stellar Blade easily exceeds them. The gameplay continues to get more spicy, the styles of play increase tenfold the way of approaching combat, the universe and the graphics carry us away and the joint work of Shift Up and Monaca on the music really makes it an adventure that has nothing to be ashamed of in the face of NieR: Automata or the other big names.

The adventure is more explosive than ever, with technique that is sometimes truly impressive, a New York twice as big as in the past and even more in-depth side missions. That being said, Insomniac relies a little too much on the strengths (and weaknesses) of previous games, missing the opportunity to take the gameplay and writing a little further. In the end, it lacks a bit of momentum, of material to give life to a second episode that meets our expectations, but we still had an excellent time.

Successful bet for our little pink ball! This transition to 3D is a great success and gives more depth to this Nintendo universe, usually further back than the giants of the firm (Mario, Zelda and other Pokémon). Between well-thought-out novelties and emblematic elements, Kirby has undeniably found the right formula and gives us an excellent surprise. Alan Wake 2 is a completely unique adventure, an “author's game” that goes beyond the boundaries of video games... The Remedy studio appropriates here all the forms of art that it loves so much, moving from experience video game to live-action film, or from concert to photography. Clear-cut biases which give it all its charm, but which - on the contrary - can also be off-putting. What's more, as a video game, this second episode is not free of flaws either, and we regret jump scares that are a little too present and an open construction that quickly goes in circles. For the rest, it is a remarkable adventure, if not memorable.

The title remains as formidable as ever. Nioh 2 thus manages to find a rare balance: that of a demanding and accessible action game, where fans will enjoy as much (if not more) than in the first opus.

The separation into distinct ages with different directions and the many ways to adapt our strategy allow for engaging games right to the end, where weariness often took over at the end of the game in previous games. With a top-notch soundtrack and more refined and detailed visuals, Civ 7 will attract all audiences even if the user interface probably deserves some fixes. Although we would have liked a less invasive DLC policy from the start, there is no doubt that you will spend long nights playing “just one last round” and that you will not regret it. Excellent opus!

Fantasian is an excellent J-RPG that we can't recommend enough if you are nostalgic for the old episodes of Final Fantasy.

Doubt no more: From Sekiro is a true From Software game, demanding and technical. Despite its not-so-inspired stealth sequences, Sekiro rewards the player each step he/she takes, with visceral sword-fighting and gorgeous landscapes.

This third episode is a good way to rebound with the franchise, due to a new and more dynamic combat system and thanks to the introduction of a second character which has its own story and city to explore.

Inscryption is much, much more than a deck building game. Rogue lite, escape game, horror, adventure ... the title of Daniel Mullins Games is a game of everything, which succeeds almost everything it does. By never giving the player time to be bored, offering a well thought out narration and never hesitating to surprise the player who thought they had covered the matter, Inscryption is a small UFO in the video game. If the second part of the game turns out to be a little disappointing and the random dimension may frustrate people less used to the genre, it's hard not to warmly recommend this experience as strange as it is surprising.

Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch 2 succeeds where few expected. Accepting the technical compromises required for this format, the experience is robust, immersive, and close to the console versions in terms of content. It was a risky bet, but it's generally a success. This port demonstrates that Nintendo's new console is capable of hosting recent AAA titles without relying on the cloud, which opens up interesting prospects for the future of the catalog.

With Mario Kart World, Nintendo delivers a solid launch game for the Nintendo Switch 2. The new gameplay mechanics, survival mode, and art direction are all successes. The open world, meanwhile, adds a fresh feel without being entirely convincing over time. The title doesn't revolutionize the series as we might have thought, but it intelligently enriches the formula, while offering plenty of room for improvement and immediate gameplay fun. Wolfenstein The New Colossus is an excellent sequel to 2014's Wolfenstein. Its hypnotizing and scary uchronia will have you running through the 10h-long story without even thinking about it.

Marathon is a radical proposition (you either love it or hate it), and if you have nothing against its unforgiving PvP and art direction, then I highly recommend it. The art direction, the atmosphere, the demanding nature of the game captivated me. I was completely absorbed on the planet Tau Ceti IV, displaying heightened vigilance against other Runners, fascinated by the universe Bungie has created. The creators of Halo and Destiny have put their FPS expertise to work in service of an excellent extraction shooter.

Triangle Strategy succeeds where it was perhaps not expected. In addition to these enticing visuals combining pixel-art and 3D effects, and its rather effective combat system despite a certain classicism, it offers a most coherent universe and above all a gripping scenario.

Diving back into this Silent Hill 2 completely rebuilt by Konami is like returning to a childhood village dear to our hearts decades later, or coming across a fiery declaration written by a person with whom ties have been broken... everything is there as in memories, but everything is different too. If our hero has doubts about the necessity of his coming to the heart of the cursed city, we no longer have any: this trying journey is a dream for fans, as much as it will be a nightmare for others. Within this striking story of which we are the Eros (and Thanatos), the infernal round trips to the confines of darkness - even more numerous than in 2001 - will leave tourists on the side of the road. Let's be clear, the Total War series is still going strong with Warhammer III. There is no upheaval in the gameplay, but there are good, very good ideas to keep us going on the game. The emphasis has been placed on role-playing and the universe, as for the precedents Total War: Warhammer and the scenario of the campaign imposes a breathless rhythm which works wonders. The few technical problems do not spoil the party. If you are a fan of Total War combat or the Warhammer license, you will love it.
