    RE4 Remake is without a doubt one of the best remakes ever made if not the best, and the fact that it remained so loyal to the core gameplay that was designed almost two decades ago shows what a marvelous job Capcom did back in 2005, and proves that if something is done proper, it can last forever.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake is a resounding success, taking the 2005 survival horror classic and revamping, reworking and retooling it into a most modern and thrilling action extravaganza. You can feel the care and attention to detail in every aspect of how Capcom has handled this remake. Combat has been improved and expanded without destroying the all-important feel of how Leon does battle, iconic boss fights and locations look and feel better than ever and carefully considered additions to areas allow for more exploration between confrontations without ruining the tight and taut flow of the adventure. It all looks and sounds incredible, performs perfectly and makes for a glorious return to the top for an all-time action great. Welcome back, stranger.

    What Capcom has done is less of a re-imagining and more a celebratory culmination of all the series' ideas. Resident Evil 4 is an absolute blast, retaining all its bombastic and over-the-top ideas while injecting some more modern horror and quality-of-life changes. It's a must for any Resident Evil fan, and if you’re new to the series, what a great place to start!

    After I completed the game, I couldn’t wait to start it over again, and I never thought that with any of the previous action-oriented RE titles. Whether you’re a fan of the original or tend to gravitate towards the non-action-oriented games in the series, I think Resident Evil 4 Remake is well worth your time.

    Capcom continues to rock the ship with its selection of “Remakes”. Resident Evil 4 Remake may have seemed like a game that didn't need such a thing, until it was time to play it.

    A remake full of changes and adjustments that stays true to the spirit of the original, Resident Evil 4 can't be seen as anything but a complete success. Some may malign what's missing, but the areas that have been added or expanded more than make up for what's been taken out. This is brilliant stuff.

    It is difficult to not be blinded by nostalgia, especially when a game has been part of the ongoing zeitgeist of the franchise for nearly 20 years. Resident Evil 4 Remake is, by intention, an unfaithful love letter. The remake has changed certain story beats, altered movement, overhauled combat and revised the visuals. Those jumping in for the first time in 2023 may not understand the hype surrounding this particular entry in the series, but, remember that a lot of modern games owe their DNA to Resident Evil 4, even if they have perfected it since.

This game had really big shoes to fill, which they succeeded. The things they cut from this game was replaced with things that are even better, and what made sense with the game. Didn’t think I would love Re4 more than what I already did. Everyone hating it/review bombing just sucks at the game lmao. Some people are just so miserable you can’t please them. Don’t like Re4 remake, you still have the original to play :) Capcom, this is an amazing remake.… Expand

    Real RE4 fans have been playing, absolutely enjoying and praising the remake (backed up fact by countless of Youtubers praising it + Overwhelmingly positive steam review score with over 30 000 reviews). At the same time, 4 chan trolls (and other trolls as well) have wasted their time, making fake Metacritic accounts and giving the game 0/10. It's extremely easy to make multiple Metacritic accounts. In other words, don't take this user score seriously, because it is, literally, manipulated and fake.

    Game itself is very good, near-masterpiece. Easily one of the best games Capcom has ever made and one of the best RE games of all time. Only real thing missing is U-3 boss fight. Because Remake literally improves everything else. Also i'm pretty sure that U-3 will be in the DLC, so hopefully soon, even that problem is solved.

    Absolute banger of a game. 10/10
    Gameplay and Graphics are top notch. It unlocks etc. gave me enough motivation to play through it multiple times.

While the original RE4 is forever in my heart, this excellent remake holds top spot. I will constantly replay this game over, and over. I have NO issue with controls on PC, this game is NOT a boring copy-paste backwards game. This game is action packed, and better AI that actually are pleasent to be around. The cut content does not matter, as it possed no real thing for the original to begin with. I do not get where everyone is bombarding this game with FAKE negative reviews. This is an excellent remake and is by far better than the 2 and 3 remakes. I will forever love it, and it's truely a 10/10 like everyone else has given it.… Expand
