Battle Chasers: Nighwar is a beautiful tribute to the original comic book. It does not only bring back Joe Madureira’s art, it is also an ingenious RPG, demanding and well crafted.- Jeuxvideo.com

SIFU is a vibrant and powerful tribute to the martial arts. Sloclap undoubtedly masters its subject and the genre in which the title fits. In just two games, the Parisian studios demonstrate their know-how in the field, and in fact become recognized artisans of the video game fight. This Beat'em All hits hard and with conviction, and perpetuates this noble art of kicking and kicking in a demanding and inspired quest for revenge. The title of Sloclap, due to its raised difficulty, is intended for tenacious, even relentless players, and could discourage more than one, but learning martial arts requires self-sacrifice and self-control… like SIFU.- Jeuxvideo.com

This new Nintendo Switch version doesn’t add anything to what 11 Bit Studio had already created. The port is clean and the game runs smoothly, but there’s a flaw: all these texts don’t fit the little size of the Switch screen.- Jeuxvideo.com

With its challenging prestige elimination race proposition, Ara: History Untold is a relevant addition to the 4X genre, boasting some really nice detailed models, a very satisfying crafting optimization system, and a rather dense non-linear tech tree. Too bad the diplomacy is so frustrating and the concept shows some limitations after about fifteen hours of play.- Jeuxvideo.com

After a complicated first approach, Black Myth Wukong opened its doors to us (literally) and we have to say that we would have been disappointed to miss out on its adventure. Supported by one of the most exhilarating gameplays of recent years, Game Science's game offers us a skillfully measured challenge that makes us want to discover more each time. Not so linear after all, the journey of the Predestined would have gained from being more concise and erasing its most extensive portions to focus on the essentials. In any case, for this grand premiere, the game honors its promise in terms of immersion, game system and entertainment, even if we regret the lack of rhythm, the redundancy of the level design and a few slight flaws. The creators of Black Myth Wukong have made their science speak: the formula is not perfect but the alchemy works!- Jeuxvideo.com

Luigi's Mansion 2 - HD manages to give you a cold sweat while retaining the effective and addictive gameplay of the original formula. The alternation between action and puzzles, in well-stocked content, is always just as pleasant. The atmosphere, both frightening and humorous, is perfectly transcribed, and the graphic and sound modernization is a real asset, especially in portable mode on Nintendo Switch OLED. Whether you've played the original game or not, Luigi's Mansion 2 - HD is worth your attention and will provide you with pleasant summer chills.- Jeuxvideo.com

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game was a Beat'em Up classic in 2010, and the Beat'em Up hasn't aged a bit over the past decade. The Complete Edition is generous in content, inspires fans of the genre to outdo themselves in a full-bodied experience, and remains punchy with its extremely well-thought-out combat system.- Jeuxvideo.com

It’s not being weak to pounce on Final Fantasy IV once again. Introducing a dramatic dimension that was lacking in the first episodes of the saga, this adventure crosses the generations without taking a wrinkle. For this Pixel Remaster iteration, Square-Enix remains true to its line of conduct, finding an interesting balance between past and present. Charming and exciting, the game would however have deserved more significant bonuses, such as a small making-of for example. Some may be closed to this less flashy approach than the PSP episode, but Final Fantasy IV, for all that it stands for, remains a staple in Japanese RPGs.- Jeuxvideo.com

Beautiful, rich in content, varied in what it offers, The Crew Motorfest is a very good 100% arcade open world racing game. Riding on the heels of Forza Horizon, it is currently one of the most successful clones of the genre leader, even if this means that the French studio preferred to take the lead from its British competitor rather than plow its own furrow. The Ivory Tower software is more effective than surprising, but its qualities are numerous enough that we do not look at its predecessors, in retro, with regrets.- Jeuxvideo.com

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a generous compilation. Embedding with it all the DLC released during the trilogy, some of which are frankly memorable and greatly improving the visuals of the first game, this edition is to date the best way to discover or rediscover the cult saga of Bioware. However, remaster and not remake requires, newcomers and veterans alike will encounter the heaviness of yesteryear on the first episode, with its imprecise cover system, its heavy movements, its loads a little too numerous or its painful inventory.- Jeuxvideo.com

Priced at just 15 euros and with the promise of free content to come, Fast Fusion is a very good futuristic racing game that will surely delight fans of the genre. It doesn't burden itself with anything superfluous and races towards the finish line at hypersonic speed to the sound of frenzied electro music. With more circuits, in-depth ship customization, and a real campaign mode, it would have reached new horizons. Doom Eternal on Switch remains Doom Eternal. Always so addicting and well paced, it will satisfy anyone in need of frantic action. It is obvious that concessions are made to make the id Software shooter stand on Switch, but the overall rendering is essentially identical to the 2016 episode on the same medium. We recommend it mainly when docked because the Joy-Con quickly shows its limits during more intense clashes.- Jeuxvideo.com

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story isn't reinventing the wheel, that's for sure. However, its solid game systems make it quite a recommendable RPG, especially for LoL fans. After more than 30 hours of play, Helldivers II remains devilishly addictive and extremely enjoyable. Although it still requires playing with several people (with friends or strangers) to fully appreciate its value, the game from Arrowhead Game Studios simply stands out as the best cooperative experience of the moment. If you've always dreamed of playing a mix between Starship Troopers and Terminator and want to be able to fight against hordes of enemies with great blasts from large calibers and orbital cannons, there's a good chance that you'll spend a excellent moment on Helldivers II. And while it may not seem like it at first glance, the game can even require a lot of strategy and restraint on the highest difficulty modes. If I would have liked slightly more solid servers and some additional finishes, I am already looking forward to knowing what the future of Helldivers II will hold. Regardless, I am immediately returning to fight for democracy and freedom. Long live Super-Earth!- Jeuxvideo.com

Don't be afraid to take on this Ninja Gaiden imagined by The Game Kitchen. While the name of the license may make you tremble, Ragebound has more than one talisman up its sleeve to ensure that all players find pleasure in it, from the brave young Genin to the invincible Jônin. Very pleasant to play, both technical and fun, it is pure arcade fun like we rarely see. With a little more inventiveness in its level design and some better exploited ideas, it would have reached the coveted rank of Ninja Master. Ryu can in any case be proud of Kenji, his protégé defended the house very well in his absence.- Jeuxvideo.com

Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered offers some good upgrades, with smoother visuals and some UI fixes. If the overall experience feels dated at time, it still is a solid experience.- Jeuxvideo.com

Happy Home Paradise is proving to be a very honorable addition to Animal Crossing: New Horizons which is intended for none other than decoration enthusiasts. If the experience can be repetitive, it is best appreciated during quiet short sessions. And apart from a certain lack of ergonomics, the expansion benefits from long hours of additional activities, adorable and new inhabitants as well as very interesting elements transferable in the base game.- Jeuxvideo.com

Valfaris is a really cool pixel-art action-paced adventure, one that is challenging and well-balanced. A great die & retry, with a dark atmosphere.- Jeuxvideo.com

It goes without saying that Golden Force does not revolutionize the platform action game in any way, it nevertheless offers a beautiful homecoming, which is sure to satisfy the most nostalgic and platformer lovers.- Jeuxvideo.com

Between Lies of P, Black Myth: Wukong and, now, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Asian development studios are shaking up the Souls-like genre, even though they jumped ship along the way. Yet another iteration of a genre in its own right that needs no introduction, Leenzee's creation finds the perfect balance between a Souls-like that returns to its roots and a game whose genre must reinvent itself or risk becoming boring. Ultimately, the experience promised by Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is honest, robust and sincerely entertaining, if not revolutionary. It's a shame because its very good ideas aren't missing much to make it a flagship of the genre.- Jeuxvideo.com

For a game where you embody Death, Have A Nice Death just misses posterity but turns out to be a super solid rogue-lite action game, recommended to all fans of the genre. Get ready to giggle at the setbacks of Death Incorporated, to rack your teeth at well-groomed bosses, and to have endless fun, controller in hand, with cutting-edge gameplay with varied powers. Even the art direction works wonders. Overall: we especially regret a timid level design and a challenge that is a little too full-bodied, which come to weigh down the repetitiveness inherent in the genre. For the rest, it's all good.- Jeuxvideo.com

Unravel Two offers some good new ideas and has the good taste to be equally playable alone or with a friend. But the magic can’t happen twice and Unravel Two sometimes feels repetitive and predictable.- Jeuxvideo.com

Deprived of its usual solo campaign, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 looks more like a patchwork than a whole, tight experience. Nonetheless, its multiple game modes, among which the first AAA Battle Royale, have enough to offer.- Jeuxvideo.com

The Game Kitchen manages to do very well by combining video games and Andalusian folklore. They once again demonstrate their mastery of metroidvania with Blasphemous 2 by further pushing the formula of the first episode: three weapons directly integrated into the gameplay, an atmosphere that is still just as gloomy and combat that is gratifying and far from insoluble. However, those who did not catch the first episode are not likely to be converted as the evolution remains too timid in our opinion.- Jeuxvideo.com

Retro-futuristic in its art direction, The Outer Worlds 2 is more retro than futuristic in its approach to the RPG genre. While it boasts a host of accessibility options and incredibly responsive controls, this Microsoft-published title is primarily aimed at Obsidian fans who see certain aging RPG mechanics as a strength rather than a weakness. That said, the numerous improvements over the first installment, along with the choices that have real consequences, make it a shame to miss out on this excellent sci-fi epic with its unique tone, whether you're a fan of the young franchise or not.- Jeuxvideo.com
