Deprived of its usual solo campaign, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 looks more like a patchwork than a whole, tight experience. Nonetheless, its multiple game modes, among which the first AAA Battle Royale, have enough to offer.- Jeuxvideo.com

Infused with the beat'em ups and platform games of the 1990s, Okinawa Rush is a resounding tribute to series like Shinobi, Kung Fu Master and Ninja Gaiden. Very neat and with a great visual and sound atmosphere, the Miller brothers' game unleashes a little uppercut. Displaying a sublime 2D and powerful animations, the title of Sokaidan also benefits from an ingenious progression system and very interesting ideas (dojo, training, katas ...). Playable in co-op, this is a little nugget that will bring back the sensations of yesteryear to many nostalgic fans.- Jeuxvideo.com

Embedding all the game's DLCs, expansion packs and original multi modes, Dying Light is making a great entry on Nintendo Switch. If this version is not the most beautiful to try today, given the concessions made to the display distance or the smoothness of the rendering (quite striking in docked mode), the particularly solid technique of this port forces everything so is respect and, if the game is slowly starting to age, this is a great opportunity to discover or rediscover this great success signed Techland.- Jeuxvideo.com

Following in the footsteps of Myst and Riven, this remake of The Amerzone: The Explorer's Testament proves that the genre can adapt to today's expectations. With its sumptuous graphics and Jules Verne-esque universe, the story imagined by Benoît Sokal is enhanced by an approach that manages to modernize the formula without betraying the original. A successful immersion thanks to the quality French voices, the music of Inon Zur and his son, and a fluid and interesting progression. A masterstroke for the Parisian studio of Microids.- Jeuxvideo.com

Although a good part of the adventure is identical, Catherine Full Body is a real re-reading of the original game, whose contributions may displease hardcore fans, but which is a very good opportunity to immerse yourself in an atypical experience and themes too rarely addressed in our medium.- Jeuxvideo.com

More than 17 years after Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Sparking Zero takes the strengths of its predecessor to go even further. With the generosity of its casting, the quality of its effects and the impressive staging of its moves, the game excels in its fanservice. But above all, the title stands out for its gameplay as technical as its predecessors which offers both a real margin of progression and instant fun thanks to its accessibility options. Too bad the fights are a little spoiled by readability and camera issues. At the same time, we can blame the game for its minimum service for its interfaces, its cutscenes and its training mode which clash with the care given to the rest of the experience. Despite everything, Sparking Zero has everything to delight Dragon Ball fans, even those who want to play locally who will have to settle for a single arena for the moment, because it really is the Budokai Tenkaichi 4 that everyone was waiting for.- Jeuxvideo.com

This Lovecraftian road trip takes you to the guts whether it's during the strategic fights that end in sweat and blood, in the introspection of the heroes or in the exploration of the dreadful places. Darkest Dungeon II made the risky bet of not being content with being an improved version of the first opus. Although we may regret some changes, we must still note that the game has found its identity. The pre-eminence of the rogue-lite aspect is the strong choice of Red Hook which thus manages to create the impression of facing adversity that is beyond us. The game is not perfect, however, suffering in particular from rather hollow passages with the diligence and from its sometimes punitive hazardous dimension. Intended mainly for seasoned players, this title will delight those who have a taste for optimization and effort.- Jeuxvideo.com

Ni No Kuni II is a true tale, relating the initiation rite of young Evan who learns to become king. Voluntarily naive, he presents colorful characters in an often intoxicating artistic landscape, despite some errors in the course. Its marriage of genres, between J-RPG, management and STR, is a real success, with a mastered interdependence. Kingdom Mode alone can keep you entertained for hours! If the title of Level-5 was more inspired in terms of quests, and especially less easy, it could have really set the bar very high. There remains an experience that we recommend to you without fear.- Jeuxvideo.com

Highly anticipated after a Sword / Shield that was a little too shy and Arceus much more daring, but very different, Pokémon Scarlet / Purple clearly advances a license that has always stagnated too much, and takes many paying risks. If we manage to ignore the really disappointing graphics, it's a safe bet that this 9th generation of Pokémon will be a milestone. Game Freak has clearly understood very well how to design an open world with non-linear progression, ideally thought out for a series that needed this much appreciated little facelift. One day, perhaps, the technical aspect will follow and the holders of the most profitable franchise in the world will offer us a real revolution capable of making an impression. In the meantime, we remain on a very satisfying episode which is good for the license.- Jeuxvideo.com

If we would have liked for the last dance of the KT Racing-WRC collaboration real novelties on the Career mode and a little more fantasy on the classic game modes or the dressing, WRC Generations does the job. First in the modeling of his specials, then in handling his cars according to the surfaces and the conditions. In line with a successful anniversary episode, the ultimate title succeeds, without drastically upsetting its formula, in being a lasting opus and with the best lifespan of the saga. More than 150 stages in 22 countries, more than 80 racing cars with the addition of hybrid engines for the WRC, daily and weekly multi-league and club modes, the objective has been achieved by Kylotonn Racing: the title is immortal.- Jeuxvideo.com

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a title with a unique and interesting proposition, but which is not intended for everyone. By putting player autonomy at the heart of the experience, Capcom's game offers a feeling of freedom and a pleasure of exploration enhanced by brilliant gameplay and a pawn system that is still fascinating. But this immersion at all costs gives rise to uncomfortable, but voluntary, design choices in order to make this adventure credible. However, the experience still suffers from certain real flaws, such as its overly classic and not always clear quests, its sometimes messy combat and especially its numerous slowdowns on console. In short, Dragon's Dogma will delight those who play the game with its unique and uncompromising proposition, surely leaving aside those too accustomed to the comfort of modern games.- Jeuxvideo.com

In line with Forbidden West, Burning Shores is an expansion that takes advantage of all the power of the PS5. Faithful to the original formula, this DLC is adorned with some interesting novelties (enemies, characters, weapons), but brings only few new script elements. The gameplay, on the other hand, remains as dynamic as ever and the game as a whole is a visual and technical demonstration of force. Post-apocalyptic Los Angeles offers breathtaking vistas and some epic moments. A good little DLC accessible while waiting for the third episode.- Jeuxvideo.com

At the moment, Overwatch 2 cannot be considered a new game in its own right, but is positioned much more as a huge content update. The title in its full version will really see the light of day when the Story mode is released. However, it remains an addictive and very well thought-out shooter with heroes just as interesting and endearing as each other. It knows how to please experienced players, as well as occasional players thanks to a wide variety of mechanics to master. Even if the Battle Pass turns out to be a big gray area, the new features are really attractive and offer great prospects for the community.- Jeuxvideo.com

Rather complete and benefiting from a significant visual improvement, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 has been able to emancipate itself from its predecessor without denigrating it. While remaining faithful to the principles of the first episode, this sequel relies on immersive and spectacular ultra-long-distance spots. The developers have chosen a path that may not appeal to everyone, but in our opinion, these sequences provide additional variety. The free phases, between action and infiltration, are still present and the overall experience is very solid. CI Games is mastering its subject more and more and demonstrating it once again.- Jeuxvideo.com

Despite a few flaws, Echoes of the Eye brilliantly replicates what made the magic of Outer Wilds, with a new area that is both puzzling and awe-inspiring, both sumptuous and mysterious. It's simple, the first few hours of the adventure are absolutely thrilling, when the player slowly takes ownership of the workings and secrets of an environment that seems to be there from the start. An excellent start, however, a little spoiled by new horror-oriented phases, where you will pace in the dark if you do not have the right information, at the risk of being spotted by frightening creatures and having to go back and forth. frustrating returns to try your luck again. As usual, you may also be frustrated if a crucial clue passes you by, Echoes of the Eye calling more than ever to be an observer. Otherwise, it's a complete success. A goodbye worthy of the name to the great Outer Wilds.- Jeuxvideo.com

Lost in Random enjoys an exquisite universe, between an artistic direction reminiscent of the golden age of stop motion and a particularly rich narration. Add to that combat mechanics cleverly built and well executed despite some redundancies and some under-exploited ideas. But in the end, Zoink offers us a fascinating macabre tale that never runs out of steam over time and is worth browsing.- Jeuxvideo.com

Modern Warfare is a really interesting heir to CoD 4, with its deeper gameplay, and a fair philosophy that excludes Season Pass while bringing crossplay, cross-platform, and a lot of content for solo, co-op, and multiplayer on multiple scales, from 2V2 to 32V32.- Jeuxvideo.com

This Dark Souls Remastered targets people who played the original game on console, or the ones who never played it before. It’s still one of a kind game, but this remastered version is definitely too lazy.- Jeuxvideo.com

Yes, Tower of Fantasy is a title that has strong arguments to face Genshin Impact. If we find many common points between the two games such as anime aesthetics, the open world and freedom of movement, the title of Hotta Studio stands out for its nervous combat system and rich in possibilities. But with an advanced avatar creation, the latter puts less emphasis on his universe and his characters than his rival to focus on his combo mechanics, his builds and his multiplayer aspect. It remains to be seen whether this proposal will be enough to overshadow MiHoYo's game in the long term.- Jeuxvideo.com

Both remain the excellent action/adventure games they were at the time, still offering spectacular moments and more touching sequences, in the service of fast-paced experiences that are still savored with great pleasure. That being said, the performance boost offered by the PS5 remains quite anecdotal, and, unless you are an ultimate aficionado of the franchise and the frames per second are a grail to reach to play your favorite license, the investment remains dispensable, all the more so since the 4K / 30 FPS sometimes struggles to hold up. That being said, the performance mode does its job very well and ensures 60 fps in optimal conditions thanks to an effective upscaling technique. So, if you want to discover for the first time the adventures of Chloé Frazer and Nathan Drake, or if you want to play this license in a more fluid way, this collection remains pleasant enough to browse for you to consider acquiring it.- Jeuxvideo.com

Just as recommendable as on mobile, the Switch version of Sky: Children of the Light gains in magic once the console is placed in the dock. You can enjoy the excellent art direction on the big screen and appreciate the joystick controls. The expanses of clouds as far as the eye can see impress and make you want to get lost in them. This free-to-play has not lost its luster and deserves your full attention, especially if, like us, you loved Journey.- Jeuxvideo.com

The only new exclusive for the Nintendo Switch at the start of the year, Princess Peach: Showtime takes on the pressure weighing on its shoulders with style and creativity. The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom multiplies roles of all kinds. Pastry chef, swordsman, skater but also superhero, she knows how to do it all and does it brilliantly despite the diversity of these activities. The varied gameplay above all serves a creative and ingenious production and staging of Good-Feel, the main qualities of the title. A very accessible adventure which clearly makes you want to see Peach more often in leading roles, whether on Nintendo Switch or not.- Jeuxvideo.com

A refreshing concept, smart and well executed with a solid immersion and a deep progression feeling that let you forge your own story through evolution. Unfortunately, the game isn't for everyone and it can be frustrating, especially in the first hours, thanks to camera, interfaces, or punitive death system.- Jeuxvideo.com

If F.I.S.T. : Forged In Shadow Torch offers a relatively slow first part, thereafter, the Metroidvania is full of ideas and continues to renew itself. Its gameplay, at the beginning screwed to the ground, constantly gains in depth and becomes more and more aerial, and its universe, alive and coherent, offers varied and inspired landscapes. Between a jazz club, a remote village in snow-capped mountains and the streets of a retro-futuristic dieselpunk town, the title of TiGames is a constant invitation to travel. In other words, we warmly recommend F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch which presents itself as the little surprise of this new school year.- Jeuxvideo.com

A stunning action game, well optimized, greatly rythmed by a dynamic OST and by some of the best fighting scenes we've ever seen in a Platinum production. It's a shame that the ending missions aren't as interesting as it should, or that the platform sequences aren't a strength.- Jeuxvideo.com

If you're looking for the best way to experience Beyond Good & Evil today, look no further. This 20th anniversary edition is indeed the ultimate version of the Ubisoft classic, whether in terms of technique or bonuses! The adventures of Jade and her friends have even aged surprisingly well, even booking in 2024 a dense, gripping, well-paced epic where the word “adventure” takes on its full meaning (exploration, action, racing, etc.). Afterwards, over the years, there are some things that are a little dated. Newcomers will, for example, be annoyed by some puzzles/hidden passages that are not always obvious. For the rest, even the strange new face of Double-H does not detract from the beauty of Hillys and the exciting conspiracy hidden there... A cult video game, that's for sure.- Jeuxvideo.com
