Jurassic Park Evolution 2 delivers improvements across the board. It takes the best parts of the original game, adds new ways to play, and changes up mechanics to make them feel more realistic and interesting - making everything more engaging and immersive. Building straight paths and fences is easier, keeping dinosaurs fed is a breeze, and even speeding up time is now possible, yet managing those raptors is still a welcome challenge. While I may not actually be the best dinosaur supervisor yet, I can’t see myself putting this game down for a long time.

Taking the time to name your dinosaurs and seeing them interact in their immersive enclosures creates a certain unmistakable bond that will have you yelling through your screen at your scaley children to get along. Losing your first dinosaur to a trial by combat is equally as emotional after you’ve invested so much time into their health and well-being. However, every new dinosaur you create is a chance to take a small mental break from park management. They each have different behaviors, sounds, and habits to observe, so take that time to zip around the enclosures and watch your dilos “Pinky” and “Brain” take a nap in the tall grass: they’re kind of cute when they’re asleep.

A real evolution of the original, Jurassic World Evolution 2 brings a lot of new contents and deepens its simulation structure to reach another level of complexity and richness.

Jurassic World Evolution was good, Jurassic World Evolution 2 is better. Most problems that arose in the original are addressed in the sequel, and many systems are improved. The first campaign mode is the weakest part of the game, despite an interesting premise.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a visually gorgeous game marred by a very bad case of micromanagement excess. Dinosaurs are great, there is a lot of content and the overall idea is very good, but there is just to much busywork being forced upon the player to enjoy the experience fully.

Improves on its predecessor in clever ways and still boasts the most gorgeous dinosaurs ever made in a game. But dealing with disastrous events beyond your control still isn't any fun, even if it's thematic for the Jurassic Park IP.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 offers much the same dinosaur park-building experience as its predecessor, but the inclusion of the new avian and marine dinosaurs adds depth and creates new opportunities for players to expand their dream park. Chaos Theory is a similarly brilliant concept that puts players in control to change the outcomes of their favorite Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films. Unfortunately, even with these notable additions, gameplay can begin to feel repetitive and shallow in both the lackluster Campaign and the multiple Challenge modes, and the locked options preventing players from exercising their creativity in Sandbox mode from the start may turn off fans of Frontier's other park-builder sims like Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo. As it is now, it's difficult to recommend Jurassic World Evolution 2 because, despite some great new ideas, the execution feels potentially alienating for its target audience.

I have not played Jurassic World Evolution 2 but, currently I am glad I bought this instead of that. The amount of decor you can to your park is incredible.

The biggest downside is that all the sandbox mode content is not unlocked when you first start the game. You'll have to play the game's scenarios and challenges to unlock the sandbox content. Most players would rather be able to use sandbox straight away and make a wonderful park.

On pc it can be very glitchy with some game breaking bugs at launch and youll likely lose your progrees. That isnt acceptable for an expensive aaa game.
I love jurrasic world evo 1 as It has a fun campaign but the sequel is like a 3-4 hr tutorial but it doesn't even cover all the new mechanisms. And what story there is... is poor.
The sound and music is good. The graphics are last gen and identical to the 3 year old game but with added glitches though they look ok on a decent pc.

There are a few new modes and new dinosaurs and some new buildings but none of it is great or it feels like unpolished and poorly implemented dlc.

Jwe2 is more like how jwe1 should have been but its actually a sequel but more like the same game being sold twice. And so overall it feels a little like a scam.

There is no multiplayer which is a real shame as sharing parks or coop would be so fun. The game puts fun last for no good reason and choses to pad out with grind.

Id be more forgiving if it was any other developer but this is the mighty frontier who made the amazing planet coaster and zoo. So they know how to make a great game. Jwe1 gameplay is better in some ways so this is why jurassic world evolution 2 gets a 4/10.
Its not a bad game but its not good enough or worth the insane price tag.

I love dinos and i love Jurassic park and i love frontiere but i dont love this game. Very disappointed.

    Jurassic World Evolution 1.2

Literally is all the content JW should have at launch. It still lack a ton of content, compared for example with how deep is Planet Zoo, by the same developer. Literally you can see how Universal cut things to fulfill the post launch with DLCs...Also some designs are amonge the laziest **** I had ever seen, even mobile JW The Game has way more work than this

Also, the most horrible part is the fact that AGAIN YOU HAVE TO SIGN IN THE LICENSE AGREEMENT TO NOT USE MODS ON PC. WTF, after how popular where mods on JW1...

No newUpdate 4/24/22: It's been 6 months since launch and they game has received bug fixes, performance patches and some skins. That's it. No new content, no DLC, nothing. Once you have completed the campaign and a few chaos modes there is basically nothing to do. At this point I have gone back to JWE 1 to replay the story for the 4th time since that game continues to be 100x better. Game felt unfinished at launch and still feels unfinished. If this is the quality Frontier is going to bring to these games I really hope they DON'T make a JWE 3.

I am unbelievably disappointed. I was a huge fan of the first Jurassic World Evolution, currently have 7 days and 8 hours total game time. It felt like a real game, the first game's campaign took me 2 to 3 weeks to complete and I replayed it 3 times I enjoyed it so much. This game though, campaign completed in 4 hours, only 2 days. It felt like a glorified tutorial. Chaos mode is complete grind and feels like a cheap cop out on making a real story. I feel absolutely screwed by Frontier that they sold a game that couldn't even match the value of the first installment. Do NOT pay $60 for this. IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

    UPDATE 11/15/2021:
Frontier pushed out a patch to address GPU related issues and crashing. Although I am not experiencing crashing, my games performance has taken a serious hit. Literally cut my fps in half, getting a 30 fps experience with a 2070 super. Awesome thanks.

Apart from the presence of ugly as **** swimming and flying "dinosaurs", it has no innovations, it's just the first game with new shaders. It doesn't worth a single penny. And, well, I still hate that given the Dominion and the fact that the game has genetics, dinosaurs cannot be fixed. They're just deformed frogs and you can't do **** about it. For **** sake, there's even a hideous spinosaurus skeleton that is, at first, outdated, duh, but it also has a broken tail and a messed up skull. Like come on. Also it's quite buggy but meh, I don't mind it. Expand
