Seductive atmosphere, impeccable immersion, neat narrative, the supercharged universe of Weird West is as vast as it is generous. For twenty hours in a straight line, the immersive simulation experience provides good sensations and a coherent RPG dimension despite an AI that is still too perfectible.- Jeuxvideo.com

Saber Interactive and Focus Home Entertainment hit hard, very hard. Space Marine 2 is a little gem of an adaptation intended for fans of the Warhammer 40,000 saga and fans of unbridled video game action. This science fiction universe is enhanced by polished and captivating visuals as well as impressive gameplay in both its precision and brutality. And the best is yet to come. The PvE and PvP modes guarantee an exemplary lifespan, as does the customization of the Space Marines, which is a model of its kind. Space Marine 2 could have been perfect without this feeling of repetitiveness that sets in after several hours of play, but which gives way to fun in the company of other players.- Jeuxvideo.com

With Assassin's Creed Shadows, Ubisoft once again proves that its studios have a real talent for creating universes and worlds in their own right. For those who love open-worlds and feudal Japan, there's no doubt that this installment will offer the expected change of scenery. In terms of gameplay, the complementarity and play styles of Naoe and Yasuke are truly refreshing, and we feel that efforts have been made, at various levels, to try to evolve the formula. Despite everything, if a few elements change, the very heart of the saga is still as present in the way we approach the game's content, sources of flaws that we have known for a long time: the redundancy of activities, the AI that leads to quickly mechanical combat, and a somewhat flat story, even if it does have its epic moments. Ultimately, Assassin's Creed Shadows is an effective, mainstream, and entertaining installment, but the series' lack of polish and recurring issues mean that this installment hits a glass ceiling that prevents it from reaching the highest peaks.- Jeuxvideo.com

Even if the last parts of the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi series managed to push the madness even further, these games would never have seen the light of day if Super Mario RPG had not pioneered the concept in 1996. This remake allows us to understand the keys to this improbable fusion between the world of the plumber and the codes of Japanese role-playing games. Reworked to make it more modern and accessible to all audiences, it constitutes an excellent gateway to a genre that still repels some players.- Jeuxvideo.com

An excellent visual novel that sublimates the reputation of an anthology license. Yoshio Sakamoto has sharpened his pen to offer better twists, a more generous narrative and a mystery that is always pleasant to follow. The polished visual work, the full dubbing and the overall richness of the artistic direction are only there to refine a high-end narrative experience, barely tarnished by an action plan that is still too classic.- Jeuxvideo.com

Battlefield 6 truly marks a strong comeback for the series. It's an episode that's certainly nostalgic in its approach but which refines its formula in a rather impressive way, notably thanks to gameplay and graphics that are simply marvelous (especially in multiplayer). Playing this opus proved to be a gripping and addictive experience, even if we were a little disappointed by the single player. To be honest, after this test, we can't wait to return to the battlefield. And that says it all, right?- Jeuxvideo.com

With a rich and pleasant gameplay, a really neat artistic direction and a fairly well balanced challenge (a little less at the end of the adventure), Ender Lilies ticks all the boxes of the successful 2D action-RPG. There isn't much more to say, except that if you enjoyed Hollow Knight or Blasphemous, you are going to have a great time with the baby from Live Wire and Adglobe. Especially since the title has its twist, thanks to its mind system, which will allow you to recover new skills on the bosses beaten. Enough to forge your own style of play, within tortuous and increasingly challenging levels. In short, it's varied, inspired, rich with in addition a good lifespan. A very nice adventure.- Jeuxvideo.com

It's a big yes and a very beautiful candle blown out by Kylotonn. If it does not upset the regulars, WRC 10 manages to advance all of its game modes with small nice touches, such as tire allocation management, new career roles or the livery editor. . Anniversary Mode galvanizes content and lifespan via new, delightfully old-school layouts, to make the title the most complete in the license. We take real pleasure in terms of racing sensations and a total change of scenery on some specials, despite the recurring lack of staging and some technical flaws (tearing, cliping ...). But that is not the important thing: WRC 10 ends a decade at the top of the slope masterfully climbed by Kylotonn in recent seasons, and we hope that the French studio will succeed in closing its commitment to the world rally championship in the best possible way next season.- Jeuxvideo.com

The combat system itself ensures a memorable experience of constant challenges, of which the bosses are the focal point. The difficulty inherent in the genre is rarely a source of frustration, and the exhilarating sense of accomplishment is so present. Unfortunately, the procedural generation sometimes struggles to find a certain balance, which penalizes the time of a time loop for the players.- Jeuxvideo.com

New World has just had its global launch and it is obvious that it deserves some adjustments, especially at the server or PvP level. But it is nonetheless a good MMO that should delight players avid for competition or craftsmanship. Dead Island 2 does not revolutionize the saga or the survival game, but provides the essentials. Dambuster Studios offers fans of zombie survivalism a bloody and sunny journey to the heart of a red-painted City of Angels. Mutilating the emaciated has never been so brutal and the pleasure felt so visceral. This FPS is not perfect, far from it, and suffers from a certain repetitiveness that it tries to erase with undeniable generosity. Memorable for his beauty and dazzling personality, Harold Halibut can boast of easily recalling the strangeness of Wes Anderson, a comparison that will most likely arise in a myriad of other reviews. A gallery of truly successful characters serves an impeccably constructed story, nevertheless undermined by a very subdued intensity and a slow pace. Harold Halibut may annoy some people, but they will still have a hard time denying all the dedication devoted with passion and talent to the handmade sets of the Fedora ship.- Jeuxvideo.com

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is everything we could have expected from a sequel, and more. Warhorse Studios delivers in 2025 an RPG that is solid on its foundations and striking in its visual and playful realism. With its authentic combat and “organic” progression, the game published by Deep Silver is unrivaled in fully immersing us in a breathtaking feudal Bohemia. Unfortunately, this sequel is not without its flaws, starting with its restrictive save system, several technical problems and especially its sometimes improvable playful narration. The fact remains that this Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a singularity in the current landscape that should be applauded and encouraged.- Jeuxvideo.com

Is this remastered compilation tossed aside? Not in the least, since we can feel WayForward's desire to modernize the cult games of 20 years ago. But even the best will in the world is not always enough. The acceleration of the speed of the game in *2 as well as the possibility of replaying the round does not manage to put itself at the level of the dynamism of the current productions. The remasters then suffer from a slight lack of punch, a bit like a tank out of gas, to rise to the height of the original opuses. Despite this, Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising remain very good complete and accessible strategy games. If those who have already played it may be disappointed by the lack of new features to enjoy, the curious who have not touched them can discover it in very good conditions from April 21 on Nintendo Switch.- Jeuxvideo.com

Gotham Knights, orphan of the iconic figure of Batman, takes up the torch with panache. Our heroes honor the Dark Knight for an exhilarating adventure inspired by comic books. The city of Gotham, darker than ever, the technical and nervous fights, and the complementarity of the four vigilantes blow a breath of super-heroic freshness on the universe of Batman. Relying on the best references of the genre at the risk of not letting its personal touch twirl, the app ticks all the boxes of a very good action adventure platformer. Ubisoft has created a Metroidvania that meets the specifications, clean, without major burrs, but also without a little something that makes it as unique as a legendary gem. If you like the genre, go for it.- Jeuxvideo.com

With its third episode, The Council is touching greatness. Many decisive choices and revelations, more freedom… It’s a shame the framerate is so bouncy, to say the least, but Big Bad Wolf is proving itself with Ripples.- Jeuxvideo.com

The requested tactical maximization smooths the game and offers few surprises. Without that grain of madness or that breath of randomness that can turn everything upside down, Star Renegades borders on excellence without ever achieving it.- Jeuxvideo.com

With top-notch writing and screenplay, The Forgotten City manages with disconcerting ease to embark the player in a gripping, supernatural and historical tale. A success that is not necessarily obvious from the first moments, when the technical shortcomings of the title (some display problems, animations not always at the top) and the very many dialogues may be put off. But this first impression quickly fades when entering straight into the cursed city of the Modern Storyteller studio, where the famous golden rule is likely to result in the death of all its inhabitants if one of them between them commits the least sin. This initial idea thus gives birth to a whole lot of reflection, on the human condition as well as on the culture of each one, and will bring the player to face many reversals of situation, all well brought up. A very pleasant surprise for fans of the investigation / adventure game.- Jeuxvideo.com

While FIFA 23's new set piece and power kick system won't appeal to everyone, version 2 of the Hypermotion engine does wonders for player animations and rendering. On the other hand, this opus improves the career mode in a beautiful way, especially when one embodies a player and tries to dust off FIFA Ultimate Team thanks to “Moments” and a new way of thinking about the collective. Something to shake up the regulars a bit. In short, if it does not revolutionize its formula, this FIFA 23 is one of the most complete in the saga before moving to EA Sports FC.- Jeuxvideo.com

Without being perfect, Narita Boy offers a pleasant neo-retro ride. Visually sublime, it manages to push the codes inherited from the 80s further than a few games before it.- Jeuxvideo.com

Metro Exodus isn’t the perfect game we wish we had. It features poor AI and some technical issues which display a lack of polish. But the game is beautiful, well paced and offers many memorable moments. A good new entry in the saga.- Jeuxvideo.com

Phantom Doctrine is an efficient tactical game, with a suffocating scenario which tighly ensnares the characters… and the player. Its graphics are dusty but the variety of its gameplay plays like a charm.- Jeuxvideo.com

Dim the lights, turn up the volume and put out the candles. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II succeeds in its crazy bet of being the “next-gen” visual slap in the face so much hoped for, even if the traces left by its hand bear the marks of the 100% narrative game of 2017 with simplistic gameplay and online exploration RIGHT. More condensed, more brutal too, the creation of Ninja Theory ultimately changes little from the original formula but strengthens all its cogs to the point of making it a beautiful war machine. If you are a Game Pass subscriber, give it a try, you should have a great time.- Jeuxvideo.com

This port on PC is particularly successful and guarantees us to have a good time. It does not suffer from any slowdown and its overall quality remains very high, regardless of the configuration used. Thus, this PC version of Miles Morales is a golden opportunity to discover or rediscover the adventures of the spider-man, in particular thanks to its excellent gameplay and its very good handling. A grandiose Manhattan, a difficulty in the hair and a lifespan quite acceptable for a game of the genre, you will not regret your purchase.- Jeuxvideo.com

A year after Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Black Ops 7 doesn't try to reinvent the wheel: it essentially builds its offering on the innovations of its predecessor, but it does it well, even very well. The wall jump is perfectly integrated and complements the gameplay, whose frenetic pace remains as exhilarating as ever. The cooperative campaign, for its part, fully delivers on its promise. For the rest, everything isn't perfect, and there's a lingering sense of recycling, even of incompleteness in some cases. This was undoubtedly the price to pay for bringing such generous content to life. A very solid game, but one that doesn't quite reach the pinnacle.- Jeuxvideo.com

Shredder's Revenge was expected at the turn and it never disappoints. A love letter to the beat'em up (understand action game against several opponents) of the 16-bit generation (Super Nintendo, Mega Drive...), it pays homage to Turtles in Time by relying on a gameplay of exception and a simply masterful achievement. Beautiful, colorful, well animated and accompanied by catchy music, the title of Tribute Games multiplies the nods to the franchise and will delight all those who despaired of rediscovering the sensations of yesteryear. Yes, some aspects of the game are classic, but the adventure is so exhilarating and dynamic that we want more! Unquestionably the best Ninja Turtles game since Turtles in Time. Fans will be thrilled.- Jeuxvideo.com

Trials Rising, on Switch, delivers a great amount of content, with a lot of customization, from character to tracks itselves. That being said, we would have liked better graphical performances, some new ideas for the franchise and more interesting multiplayer tracks.- Jeuxvideo.com
