It’s a huge gaming bundle and everything you want from a football game. Fans will be sad to see this console icon go, but with a new look next year there is the potential for EA to freshen things up and deliver something even better.

Reviewing a FIFA game is always a complicated exercise, the game has the habit of changing its gameplay with each new episode. At the time of this test, FIFA 23 gives us an enjoyable gaming experience. The new version of HyperMotion is a hit and this FIFA 23 is one of the best opuses of recent years.

FIFA 23 represents the evolution of a path that began with FIFA 22, that of the implementation of the new Hypermotion 2 technology, an addition that serves the title to modify the rhythm of the matches, moderately improving what has been exposed so far. It is not a revolution, but it ends up bringing more novelties than its predecessor.

So is it worth it this year? That's a firm "yes". The Hypermotion 2 engine lives up to its hype and delivers what it probably the best simulation of football I've seen. You have a variety of game modes to find your favorites with some like Volta that deliberately speed up the pace that the engine tends to slow down in Career. You also have the widest variety of stars to choose from featuring men's and women's teams as well as all the licenses and real player likenesses you can hope for. However, Career mode needs some love. And by love I don't mean more meaningless transfer cutscenes. I mean depth beyond just the UK pyramid: add some real lower division teams across leagues and stop neglecting everything outside of Europe.

FIFA 23 shows that EA still knows how to make a good football game that should please the fans. It may not be a perfect goodbye to the series - gameplay has its issues and the game's strong "TikTok vibe" can worry a bit, but there's no denying that it definitely is a good game.

The tweaks to FIFA 23’s gameplay make for a more deliberate, physical representation of the beautiful game – and while it won’t be to the taste of sweats who are used to five-star skilling their way up the ranks in Division Rivals, personally we appreciate the commitment to authenticity. As an overall package, this is a strong end to an impressive 30-year run, but an overemphasis on microtransactions and some cumbersome UI decisions underline everything that’s been frustrating about this franchise for the past decade or so. Make no mistake, with crossplay and a wealth of things to do, this is the best shape the series has been in – but we hope EA Sports FC, unshackled from the overbearing eyes of governing body FIFA, brings a little bit more to the field.

Fifa 23 will go down in history as the last Fifa, but definitely not the best. The culmination of 30 years of soccer history doesn't lead to a satisfying climax in the franchise, mainly due to modern improvements are held back by a dilapitaded foundation. However, there is no shortage of content but with such a high goal inflation, you could wonder what that's worth anymore.

Love the new change , feels way more realistic and less scripted than previous titles, everyone seems to be complaining about the p2w aspectLove the new change , feels way more realistic and less scripted than previous titles, everyone seems to be complaining about the p2w aspect which I have no issue with. I don't spent money but working towards getting a good player is the whole point of FUT, they can always go play manager mode since they improved that.. its also nice that pace is no longer the meta, people are saying that 70 pace defenders should catch up to 90 pace strikers but don't realize the strikers sprint the entire game where defenders keep alot of stamina as they stand in 1 central area.. The worst iteration of Fifa ever! From a gameplay perspective, just garbage. Lazy developers more focused on in game purchases than the gameThe worst iteration of Fifa ever! From a gameplay perspective, just garbage. Lazy developers more focused on in game purchases than the game itself. Here's some broken features.

    • Refereeing logic is inconsistent and moronic. Incorrect penalty decisions, flawed advantage and idiotic decision making in general. Definitely the worst seen in any Fifa. • Pin Ball Simulator- Tackle animations consistently lead to the ball going back to attackers. As do blocks and interceptions which often fail in critical situations. The ball is more slippery than a bar of soap in a prison shower. • Broken defensive AI - Defenders run backwards constantly leaving a huge gap to the midfield. Midfielders do not track back. If you play a high line to counter this issue, there's an auto offside trap activated randomly without logic or reason. •Player Switching and manual defending - Just a horrible system that rarely works in any version of Fifa. Trying to use either is a stressful experience. • A one-dimensional, predictable meta, set up for counter attacking and sprint trigger merchants. Using any form of possession outside of spamming through balls using direct passing is going to be a painful experience. •limited gameplay modes within FUT, generally making the experience repetitive and boring. •Kick off glitch - Anyone who has played Fifa knows what I'm talking about. •Broken corner logic - defensive AI force's players to sit inside they're own box rather than pushing out.

•Broken keeper animations - often leads to goals scored where a keeper reacts incorrectly to the situation. For example, running past the ball or diving the wrong way. • Frequent Kit clashes in FUT unless you select your home and away kits. • Over powered AI assisted pressure tactics which break attacking Player mechanics and animations. Works even with depleted stamina and leaves opponent with no passing options •PC Cheats impacting Cross play •Practice mode broken - No first person perspective on free kicks • Step Over Speed boost overpowered The list could go on and on. Just a crap game

Pitiful excuse of entertainment media. Year and year again EA proves why it is the most shameful, hated, vilified, and disgusting company out there. The AI is absolutely **** brain dead, for starters. **** that should be obvious to do, the AI is uncapable of doing. The defense is the worst part. You just gotta love how the defense leaves mile-wide gaps in your area and how bad they are at passing the ball. Worst part? This is done intentionally. Since EA is shamefully incapable of coding an Associate project level AI, they increase the game's difficulty by making your defense borderline brain-dead. The only thing they achieve with this is your frustration at the game, and the relief in the fact that you pirated this **** trash. Secondly, nobody in your team runs with you to the rival area when you're racing down undefended, leaving you alone with the defense trailing behind you and the keeper in front of you. It's like they're just watching you play. And even if they run down with (in the few cases they do), passing the ball is useless because your teammates can't for **** sake jump to get and air ball or put their foot a centimeter in front of their defender. I can get a raspberry pi and a monitor and make a better AI in the time I take a **** Finally, the absolute bafoon controls. Sometimes you're undefended and onside and press "Y" to get a trough ball from your teammate, but if you do that just a single frame after your mate passes it to you, your character will automatically pass it along to the front, wasting the opportunity and giving it to the other team. This is game design 101. If you have the same buttons mapped to different functionalities, you cannot have those two functionalities overlap suddenly during in-game time. Who had the **** idea? Please fire that idiot.

Overall, this franchise has been the same since FIFA 13 and will remain so as long as EA keeps selling copies to all those **** idiots that buy it year in, year out. Please either pirate this absolute doodoo game or just call your friends and go play football outside.
