This game is set in an open field, in which players can freely explore, while enjoying the unique tension that accompanies all "Nioh" titles. Face formidable encounters with powerful yokai, explore villages where suspicious beings lurk, take on the daunting challenges of The Crucible, and enjoy the thrilling, hostile new environments as you fight to survive the cursed kingdom! In "Nioh 3", players can enjoy two different fighting styles: Samurai and Ninja.
Based on the tendencies of the enemies and stages, players can switch seamlessly between Samurai and Ninja techniques instantly at any time, or choose to fight using only one style continuously based on the challenge ahead. Feel free to play with the style you like best. Samurai Style
This style provides a gameplay experience similar to previous "Nioh" titles. New actions such as "Arts Proficiency", which enhances the power of martial arts, and "Deflect", which allows players to block enemy attacks at the last moment, have been added, helping create a series of intense and deadly face-to-face confrontations.

I hope this is the moment where Team Ninja is finally acknowledged as not only a driving force in the Soulslike genre, but for its name to be ranked amongst the best. Nioh 3 is an unbelievable game from start to finish and excels in all aspects of game development.

Nioh 3 is a superbly enjoyable culmination of action RPG fun and its open environments are bursting with so much rewarding content that it's hard to put it down whenever you start playing. It may be a big change of pace but I'm incredibly happy with everything it offers.

Nioh 3 is a bold and rewarding evolution of Team Ninja’s action RPG formula, expanding the series into an open-field format without losing the tight, satisfying combat it’s known for. Though the narrative falters early, its gameplay depth, time-spanning structure, and layered progression systems make it a must-play for fans of skill-based combat. From its masterful boss encounters to its robust exploration mechanics, Nioh 3 delivers a dense, challenging experience for those willing to invest in its systems.

The leap that the NiOh series has made from game to game bodes well for the future. NiOh 3 can already compete with the best representatives of the soulslike genre. The exploration itself may not yet have that sense of wonder that was present in Elden Ring, and the recycling of enemies is a bit of a nuisance, but I consider NiOh 3 to be the best instalment in the series, and its heart, the combat system, really shines here.

Nioh 3 evolves the series' formula with semi-open world maps and an even deeper and more dynamic combat system, maintaining challenging and highly satisfying encounters. Despite stumbles in the narrative, enemy repetition, and visual aspects, the gameplay remains the highlight of the experience, and should easily please fans of action RPGs.

Nioh 3 is a fantastically crafted game that blends several intricate and engaging elements to produce a great combat experience. While it has some issues that hinder gameplay, it’s still one of the most engaging soulslikes.

Nioh 3 is simply a good game because it's more of Nioh and Nioh 2 with a few extra dashes of different playstyles, a few new enemies, bigger environments, and some tiny gameplay tweaks. Those of you just looking for more Nioh/Rise of the Ronin/Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty are getting exactly that. Everyone else will forget this even came out by the time Game of the Year awards start in December, because I'll exaggerate a bit by saying this is what AI would have made if you asked it to develop Nioh 3.
