    New World is a pretty damn good MMORPG. It's fun and accessible, and though it doesn't do anything truly new, it has enough little twists on existing ideas to keep me invested.

    In New World, Amazon finally has the hit it has been chasing. However, as an MMO – with a one-time entry fee – the key part is going to be if they stick around and treat the community well with thoughtful additions, instead of asking people to shell out on pages upon pages of cosmetics. The foundation is strong, and if nothing else, it feels good to batter things with a spear.

    While young and not perfected, New World is Amazon's first hit, a MMORPG with some classic aspects to it while others are refreshing. Its action gameplay, craft and endearing world building make for a pleasant journey, especially with no subscription. The rest will depend on Amazon capacity to entertain its community in the month to come.

    I was admittedly surprised with how thoroughly I enjoyed my time with New World. From the freeform character and weapon progression to the resource gathering and faction dynamics, there’s a lot to explore and experience. That said, New World very much feels like an MMO in a very early state. There’s not a ton of Expeditions, there’s no mounts, and there’s an obvious need for balancing with features like Siege. Luckily, MMOs often get better as they age, and if Amazon Games can build upon this great foundation, they’ll have a surefire hit on their hands.

    I can’t recommend New World to anyone who isn’t already 100% invested in the idea of faction politics and PvP, but there’s a solid foundation here. Give it an expansion or two, and this could turn into something truly special.

    New World is an mmo that could be straight out of 2010. It hardly adds any new ideas to the genre and therefore feels dated in content. The faction system offers interesting possibilities for wars between players, but is not yet balanced. New World demands a lot of time from its players, but does not actually give anything in return that we have not seen before. Graphically, everything is fine, and although the game has microtransactions, they are only of a cosmetic nature. There is no subscription: for the entrance fee, the entire base game is open to you.

    Awesome game so far. I hope they will bring us a lot more to explore with new content.

    It is a great game that no one who likes survival and exploration of worlds should miss, those who score negative are the typical mmo pvpIt is a great game that no one who likes survival and exploration of worlds should miss, those who score negative are the typical mmo pvp players, they believe that all mmo should be full pvp and only for them, that no one else can play them , the new world is an exception, it's a game that gives the solo player a chance to make friends within the game to achieve their goals, it's a real mmo, it lacks fixes but it's only been online for almost 2 years, there's another mmo that has been online for more than 5 years and still has bugs, if you want a new world to explore, a new world is your world and the best thing is that you choose the step in which you advance, it can be a healer one day and another DPS the next day, just changing the weapons, attributes and that's it.
    you don't depend on wasting time to level up another pj, you just level up 1, time is valuable enough to waste it leveling up 2, 4, 6, 10, different pj to be able to play with other weapons or classes.    … Expand

    Performance: Good. It has servers distributed in different continents which allows you to play with low latency. Apart from the events of its beginning, it can currently be played without problems and with great fluidity.

    Customer Service: I had no problems buying, installing and playing. As for support due to problems, I could not evaluate it at the moment.

    Cost / Benefit: Excellent. You only pay for the base game which has an affordable price, does not require a monthly subscription, the cash store is only for cosmetics and does not sell power-ups or gold.

    Duration of the main story: At the moment it is short but it is expanding with the addition of content and this adds up since it has continuity.

    Relevance of past content: For now it is good since it is a relatively new game and it has great activity in its different areas.

    Mission entertainment: Acceptable.

    Reward Gratification: Good. It is always possible to acquire an upgrade or useful materials.

    Approach: Focused on the gaming experience in its two versions, PvP and PvE.

    Class balance: It does not have classes as such. The different styles are in the process of adjustments, currently decent. It has the advantage of being able to rotate styles with the same character for greater versatility.

    Instanced content mechanics: Interesting. It contemplates a great variety of mechanics which require visual attention of the environment without saturating the scene with effects. It's immersive.

    Communication with users: Constantly improving, currently very good.

    Expectations for the future: Good. Marked trend in improvements in communication, improvements in the game, addition of interesting content and consolidation of bases.    … Expand

    - Streamers cheat and exploit abuse, they don't get ban.

    - They don't balance classes, Heavy Armor is still the only logic path.
    - Inumerable exploits that are let unfixed for weeks which makes people abuse and achieve things they shouldn't.
    - This game is still in Alpha.

    This game is a wonky coded bad joke, don't expect much from their customer support either.

    A couple of days ago they literally permabanned my girlfriend and she asked me for help to resolve it with their customer support. This issue seemed simple enough... All she did was trade a friend a small unimportant amount of gold and because of this games janky amateur code it got duped, Their customer support is either a bot or a halfwit who refuse to watch the gamelog , or do even the simplest form of investigation whatsoever and just throws standard form messages back to a player who invested more than 4000 hours in the game and had to audacity to run into a random bug.

    Now, because they refuse to watch the gamelog, which would show this is a case of two people making a minor one time trade and then writing each other about their confusion. They decided to lump her into the group of exploiters who make economy crashing amounts of currency as a continuous strategy.

Anyone can report you without any avidence and you will receive a ban for days. Please throw away your 40$ and get banned after 2 days of playing.

    Yes, you can try to appeal your ban, to which you will receive an asnwer: "We understand that you realize your mistake and will not repeat it in future". When you have given all details for doing nothing wrong.    … Expand
