   This is how you do a remake. I know hangar 13 doesnt have as much budget as rockstar but they still did their best with the budget available.

   C'est l'un de met préfére jeux j'adore l'univer l'ambiance je trouve que ce jeux est trop sous coté pourtant il est exellant ( pour moi )C'est l'un de met préfére jeux j'adore l'univer l'ambiance je trouve que ce jeux est trop sous coté pourtant il est exellant ( pour moi ) personnage très atachant très bien écrit , les 2 première missions sont pas ouf mais apré c'est un bonheur de jouer sur ce jeux les eul défaut c'est qu'il est trop court je pense que j'ai prit un peux pret 10h a finir le jeux sinon super… Expand

   Mafia es un juego que en su momento me flipaba pero no pude terminarlo porque tenía el CD rayado o algo por el estilo. Así que ahora que heMafia es un juego que en su momento me flipaba pero no pude terminarlo porque tenía el CD rayado o algo por el estilo. Así que ahora que he tenido la ocasión de echarle mano al Mafia Definitive Edition no lo dude y he de reconocer que es un juegazo perfectamente rehecho para los tiempos pero manteniendo todo lo del original. Para los que no sepáis como va, no os esperéis un GTA en los años 30, pues Mafia es un juego muy narrativo donde vas progresando por las historias, no realmente un mundo abierto. Hay combate y tiroteos, sin duda, algunos incluso muy espectaculares, pero también muchas escenas de conducción (en muchas ocasiones incluso hay que seguir las normas de tráfico) así como algunas de sigilo. Todo ello en el marco de una historia fantástica de mafias, con conflicto de Dones, el papel de la policía y la corrupción, personajes muy bien llevados, etc.
   
   Gráficamente el juego está muy muy bien, capturando deliciosamente la estética y el feeling de la época. A nivel sonoro igual, desde los acentos de los personajes a las radios y las noticias que van dando, el sonido te transporta de lleno a los años 30. Y, al menos en mi experiencia, me he encontrado con algunos bugs pero poca cosa y poco importantes.
   
   Por todo ello, si quieres una experiencia narrativa de mafias, tiroteos y ley seca, entonces sin duda este es tu juego. Un 9.… Expand

   Amazing game except that stupid **** race mission I've been stuck on it for almost 4 hours now and it totaly ruins the game

   This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Only thing good on this game is graphics. Disgusting game, which is insult to the original game. Sad people defending it. Either they didn't play the original game, or they are little sjw using logical fallacies - to attack people for constructive criticism. Most people probably won't play the original and that game will fade away. While it is much better game, even today! And it doesn't look even that bad!
   
   I also i heavily dislike community of this game and even nowadays gaming subculture. If you say anything negative, they will tell you go play something else. Even if it is true and you have circle jerk yourselves and be fake. Otherwise people will attack you!
   
   I would say go play original, if you didn't. It is a masterpiece!!!
   
   Story: they changed original characters and dialogues, even scenes! Paulie looks like Shrek and both look like they don't have any experience. In the original characters were older. They mixed some lines in dialogue and things came out at wrong moment, it was weird. I like original story much more, than in this game!
   
   They removed lucas bertone missions, but you have to find 5 cars in freeride, which is boring. Previously he gave you little fun sub-quests.
   
   There are some interesting details about events in the original story, which is interesting, previously player could imagine it, or guess. I like it in new game, since it is remake.
   
   Dialogues: They are not bad, but there are some things, which are dumb like: Tom just gets started in family and Salieri, he himself says he wants revenge on guys, which destroyed his taxi, why it was most powerful mafia in the city. In the original, salieri ordered Paulie and Tom to destroy their cars as initiation test, which is more believable. There are things like this in the game.
   
   There are some funny quotes, but otherwise... Sometimes characters tell same thing twice, happened in previous game too, not big deal.
   
   Soundtrack: original soundtrack is absolutely amazing and more dramatic, i dislike they replaced it.
   
   Cutscenes: in original they are 1000 times more dramatic and more EPIC!
   
   Driving: terrible driving model, in original they tried to simulate realism. While in new game, driving is unrealistic and car is sliding. Cars suffer from understeering and than enter uncontrollable slide, which is impossible to correct many times. It is like driving on ice constantly... I completed race mission on the first trial in original, but in this game it took me 3 hours, because my car lose control, not that it would be difficult, it is not! Also they made it so opponents will crash right before you and you crash too - idiotic...
   
   Auto aim when driving yuck! Car moves when i hit it with baseball LOL.
   
   Environment: salieri's yard looks good, but whole city is too clean on that era. There were neon signs at that time, but i liked more original, now you have that on every corner. Also all cars are shinning and look like new.
   
   Combat: melee is annoying, if you attack first sometimes it doesn't hit, yet he counters, which has no counter. Otherwise you have to press alt quickly to dodge.
   
   Cops: they get called instantly, which looks weird, in old mafia police office would have to find a telephone to report incident!
   
   City: they made city more accessible, but game doesn't take you through city as much as before, at least you don't have to drive back each time, which was excessive in old mafia. Everywhere are roadblocks LOL and in first mission car chase is kinda lame, but so it was in the original. Except you could take out wheels, but you wouldn't hit anybody basically...
   
   UI: there are a lot of unnecessary ui elements, like objective, which kills immersion. Previously you could always press f1 for objective and they tell you what to do so... Also healthbar is huge and speed-o-meter doesn't look old from that era and i dislike minimap next to it. It even shows you path to the objective, so you don't have to remember path yourself...
   
   You choose weapons by weapon wheel and it sucks as usual, also 12 works tho i think, but for other things...
   
   Graphics: graphic with red taint, i don't care. It looks great, how ever they didn't recreate era best, city is too clean, sky is white bright, instead of blue... It is in details... Also it is little bit blurry on max details, but that's normal, probably bad aliasing and will be better in near future i think. Yet old game looks more realistic in a way i think. Cars are also too shiny, every car in the city...
   
   Freeride: design of missions is moronic, you don't know first how to finish that optimally, even if you were pro, some missions are impossible to do on the first time, now matter how good you play. So you have to restart like 10 times, if you do only one mistake, because car suffer from heavy understeer, you lose to rng tram, or car...… Expand

Nicht alles ist in der Handlung komplett wie im Original, aber das Gegenteil reduziert alles! Nur im Animationsfilm sieht das Spiel gut aus, aber wenn Sie selbst als Spieler spielen, begegnen Sie einem leblosen Charakter und krummen Steuerelementen auf der Computertastatur.
   Free Ride - warum dies veröffentlicht wurde, verstehe ich nicht, einige Nebenmissionen machen in der toten Welt der Free Ride keinen Sinn und ich bin in den Zug gestiegen - sie lassen mich nicht rein und alle Türen zum Bahnhof sind geschlossen, ich kann die Straßenbahn nicht betreten, es gibt keine Läden im Spiel als spielbare Orte und Es gibt nicht einmal ein Geldsystem im freien Spiel. Wie kann ich diese Schaltfläche aus dem Spielmenü entfernen, damit ich nicht mehr lache? Generell war ich lange davon überzeugt, dass Khangar13 nicht weiß, wie man vollwertige, qualitativ hochwertige Spiele macht. Die Geschichte wurde um 14 Uhr fertiggestellt, gelöscht und vergessen. (Mafia-3 ist um ein Vielfaches besser, auch wenn es für schlammige Grafiken verantwortlich gemacht wird).… Expand

   I have played all MAFIA games before but this game is just AMAZING, i loved the gameplay, the story is actually the best one i have seen inI have played all MAFIA games before but this game is just AMAZING, i loved the gameplay, the story is actually the best one i have seen in any game, driving is kind of weird but there is nothing else that is really wrong with this game (besides the usual bugs that may or may not occur) .
   
   as for the people complaining about voices, faces and a little modification of the story and map from the original, well, i dont see any issues with it, this feels way more natural than the original MAFIA.
   
   if you are not a "purist" you will definitely enjoy this game!… Expand
