Our goal was not to remake or reimagine the original games, but to modernize the experience so that fans and new players can experience the original work in its best possible form. It's been amazing to see the adventures of Commander Shepard take on new life in super-sharp resolution, faster framerates, and beautiful visual enhancements.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition will include single-player base content and DLC from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3, plus promo weapons, armors, and packs - all remastered and optimized for 4k Ultra HD. It will be available in Spring 2021 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with forward compatibility and targeted enhancements on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

For all of the improvements that are most welcome (and will doubtless help court a new generation of fans) Mass Effect’s brilliance isn’t about technicality. Not really. It is about that total investment in its galaxy and its characters --be it your most trusted squadmate or the elephantine Elcor shopkeeper you bumped into-- that has fully enveloped me again. That hasn’t aged a jot.

The fact that the first Mass Effect is fundamentally the same game, is a lost chance to correct the mishaps of the original one. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful remaster, as proper remasters should be. As a whole, the Legendary Edition is a must-have collection for every conscious gamer on the planet. You know, the planet called Terra, in the Local Cluster.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a magnificent compilation. A title that will undoubtedly delight fans of Shepard's epic. Those who grew up and discovered a genre thanks to the work of BioWare will find their favorite titles like never before. The facelift looks great on each of the three games. In addition, the increased and stable fps on Xbox Series X gives a totally new look and feel to the title.

If you've never played a Mass Effect game before, you can consider purchasing the Legendary Edition an absolute no-brainer. If you fancy revisiting BioWare's seminal sci-fi saga (and frankly, why wouldn't you?), then, equally, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is essential. Bottom line: you need this.

It's as great as most people say it is. There's not a conversation I want to skip, not a companion I want to ignore, and really not a single mission I want to decline. Mass Effect is the ultimate RPG. When so many of your actions affect the future of not just you and your friends, but potentially the entire universe, there's a great deal of responsibility on BioWare to deliver outcomes that feel worth one's time. Even acknowledging its final scene is notoriously polarizing, and you may come down harder on it than I do. Either way, the journey is well worth your time.

The update of the game has its pros and cons, but the main improvements are well received. Narrative, setting and dialogs are still awesome, so having all condensed in a single package feels like a real treasure.

If you ignore these flaws and show indulgence for a 14-year-old game, you will reconnect with a memorable and still captivating saga to walk through, coated in a generous layer of varnish that allows it to - almost - hang on to the present day.

This was aThis is great value, as you get three games with each of 20-25hrs of gametime, and if you have gamepass it makes it even better. This was a series i've heard about but never played until just now, and man I wished I did so when it first came out. The individual games I'll give probably different scores than 10/10, but the value for this is too dang good.

ME1: Very solid game, but clunky at times with the combat, the interface/menu screens, the Mako is way overused and is so boring. They did do updates to this game to try to make up for some of it's flaws, but this game did not hold up as well as the other two games. However, I still think this game is very solid experience and one could argue it's the best story of the three games, and it does give you the sense of exploration and lore, and the story is very good, with great villains as well. I would give this game a grade of 8/10

ME2: This is probably the most highly regarded game of the three. Major improvements from the first game, and best part is all the different companions that you have. The first game has good core companions,, but they aren't the most likable at the start and get better in the second or third game. They did away with the mako, although the dlc with the hammerhead or whatev. that vehicle was called was just as boring. I do like most of the companions in the second game, and I think most will have their favorites. I like the story of the second game, although one of the DLCs, I think it's the arrival, I played that midway through the game and was odd, until I learned that's the DLC meant for afterstory of the main game to tie in the third game. Also the paragon and renegade options lead to some funny moments and much improved from the first game, as the first game it wasn't really clear what that was being new to the series. I would give this game a grade of 10/10

ME3: This game is where I think it's not as well done. I did read that this game was rushed and you can tell it was. First of all, I don't know why they decided to have less companions, and you're really screwed if you lose two of the sidekicks in the second game. So that means you're down to five companions, and then of those one of them are DLC, which honestly you can miss that character easily. This was something I didn't like, as you can visit some of the companions from the last game, or maybe they team up with you for one quest, but it's a downgrade from the second game. Also, I did not like EDI as a companion at all and what they did to her character. The story is very hit or miss. I didn't like the ending, and honestly the last hour of the story just drags on too long, and the combat although is fine, some of the quests are just boring and going against cerberus had lead to some glitches and just really boring fights as a whole, especially against kai leng, which has some of the worst boss fights ever.. I would give this game a grade of 7/10

Overall, I enjoyed this series, hopefully they make a forth game of the main series
    So overall,

It's an absoluteThe real criminal act here is why we can't review this when it's on CURRENT GEN consoles, which means PS5/Xbox Series X. It's an absolute joke that these reviews have to cover the PS4/Xbox One, because the game runs even better on PS5/Series X.

On Series X this Mass Effect Legendary edition runs at 120 HZ/120 FPS ON XBOX SERIES X...something the PS5 does NOT do for this game.

So, the game trilogy gets a 10/10 because this remaster is on point. I've been playing it on Series X for 3 hours now and the 120hz/120fps 4k is simply amazing on my OLED TV.

The problem is that Metacritic and other sites are so behind that they don't even recognize this game for Series X and PS5, LOL, but only PS4 and Xbox One.....

What a joke. Besides that point, this remaster trilogy is freaking awesome. Not only is it 4k, 120 FPS, but graphics and sound are also improved.

Imagine playing this series on full surround sound and 4k like we got to play the latest Halo remakes? IT'S HAPPENED.

As much as I am a huge fan of original games, this Legendary Edition is nothing else that a cheap attempt to get some more money from old games. They improved graphics a little bit, bundled three games into one, forgot to translate two DLCs and asked a full price for it. Unbelievable. Expand
