Oxenfree 2 is a follow-up that has been worth the wait. If you were a fan of the first game, and I certainly was, this will give you more of what you loved. Like the first game, it asks complex questions about the choices we make in life and the direction they can take us, all wrapped up in some creepy analog horror effects. If you’re in need of a narrative adventure game focused on time in more ways than one, Oxenfree 2 is essential.

If you loved the original Oxenfree game, you’ll adore this follow-up title. It retains the familiar qualities of the first entry but offers more than enough new elements alongside this to feel fresh. You can definitely play Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals without playing the first game too, but doing so will provide you with a little more context as to what exactly is going on.

Oxenfree 2 is excellent entertainment whose magic lies mainly in its gripping writing, well-constructed characters, and absolutely brilliant sound work, voice acting and music included. If you liked the first part, no doubt you will love its sequel, which retains the same aura overall and only deepens a few aspects of its experience, capable of immersing you in its captivating universe from its first minutes.

Oxenfree II: Lost Signals embraces the player and makes them a key pillar of a story where every conversation matters. It may falter in its puzzles and the amount of dialogue may be overwhelming for some, but the depth of its cast and storyline invites you to replay it several times to discover absolutely everything that happens in Camena.

Oxenfree 2 is a great time. We enjoyed the gripping story with significant decisions that promise a high level of replay value. The art style and the characters are also very well done. The only major problem are some pacing issues. But especially for the price with that amount of playtime, you can hardly complain.

Oxenfree 2 is an easy recommendation if you loved the first game as much as I did. While the original is definitely my preference between the two, the sequel expands the series’ lore and is packed full of callbacks, while also featuring a lot of the quirks that made the first so interesting. Oxenfree 2 is, fundamentally, more of a good thing.

I waited many years for this and was NOT disappointed. All I want to say is, the story was amazing, the map was huge but not boring or tedious in any way even if sometimes moving seems a bit slow. The interactions with the "side quests" was fantastic and once again, visual and sound design were spot on. I love indie games and this one might just be one of my favorites!
The only bad thing I can say is there don't seem to be many drastically different endings, thus making the choices matter a bit less though the game

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm a big fan of the first oxenfree game that came out back in 2016, as it was the first game on my Xbox and the first game I ever 100% completed, when I saw this sequel I knew I had to play it, and it really did not disappoint, I love how they brought back the original gang from the first game, I'm glad that they did release this game, but was pretty bummed when it wasn't released on Xbox, so I'm lucky to have both the series x and ps5. Overall I give the game a 9 out of 10 Expand

    Phone/Netflix review-

10/10 Music: When a games makes me go to spotify to add songs to my playlist its a 10/10. The music on the radio is good too.
5/10 Gameplay: Its basically a walking simulator, Slow walking, and going to the same locations over and over again, they to add lots of dialogue which makes it a lot more interesting. Exploring has no rewards in the game. I wish the game did the fetch quests for me while I could have managed the radios and dialogue.
10/10 Story/Innovation/Relationships: Its really fun playing with the radios and talking with all the characters in the game.

Overall: A fun play through. The mystery of the characters, and what the heck is going on with the island kept me engaged and wanting to come back.
