Apr 27, 2026A magical and charming adventure into a Moominvalley transformed by the elements, Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth puts Moomin at the fore in a whimsical story that always respects its source material. Subtle realignment of gameplay to suit Moomin and a continuation of every good aspect of its predecessor makes this wholesome treat of a game a wonderful cure for winter melancholy.

Apr 27, 2026Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is a lovely game. There are some fun quests to undertake in locations that have been designed well, with the added bonus of cutting paths through the snow.

Apr 27, 2026Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth does what it came to do: criticize the injustice of winter existing at all. The game makes you reflect on existential dread, dedications to your partner, chores, and the adorableness of life as a whole. Some controls and mechanics could have been explained better, but this is a great, snowy, cozy game that adds some variety to a genre that's oversaturated with farm life.

Apr 28, 2026Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is a charming and atmospheric cozy adventure that beautifully fits the warm, dreamy world of the Moomins. Building on Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, it offers improved controls, more gameplay variety, and a stronger story that helps Moomintroll grow as a character. Its wintery atmosphere, gentle humor, and soothing soundtrack make it a delightful escape, while staying true to the franchise’s cozy identity. Though the puzzles are simple and the adventure is fairly short, its charm easily outweighs those minor drawbacks, making it a lovely recommendation for cozy game and Moomin fans alike.
