The game does a great job at grabbing the player's attention and provides a fitting audiovisual environment, but its gameplay can often feel repetitive with a course of action that gets dull sometimes. For a game that makes use of so many dialogues, Oxenfree II is not always able to deliver the most interesting exchanges, and its plot development turns out to be more linear than it seems. Fans of plot-heavy games with mystery settings still have plenty to enjoy here, though.

Oxenfree 2 is an easy recommendation if you loved the first game as much as I did. While the original is definitely my preference between the two, the sequel expands the series’ lore and is packed full of callbacks, while also featuring a lot of the quirks that made the first so interesting. Oxenfree 2 is, fundamentally, more of a good thing.

An intriguing and sometimes terrifying adventure you will love if you are a fan of mystery novels or TV Series like Stranger Things.

While Oxenfree II: Lost Signals isn’t an overhaul compared to its predecessor, it didn’t need to be. It tells an excellent story with a cast of well-developed characters, and the smaller changes are what help define the sequel. Better pacing, smoother controls, and more interesting gameplay ideas make it a worthy follow-up to the supernatural coming-of-age story that first graced our hearts seven years ago.

For the most part — and again, this is the same as the first game — Lost Signals trades on vibes. It looks and sounds incredible, and as you get deeper into its mystery, it gets downright creepy, with lots of floating bodies and distorted voices to make it clear that something very wrong is going down. It’s also a game that doesn’t overstay its welcome; it lasts just a few hours, enough to tell a complete story and tie up its loose ends.

I waited many years for this and was NOT disappointed. All I want to say is, the story was amazing, the map was huge but not boring or tedious in any way even if sometimes moving seems a bit slow. The interactions with the "side quests" was fantastic and once again, visual and sound design were spot on. I love indie games and this one might just be one of my favorites!
The only bad thing I can say is there don't seem to be many drastically different endings, thus making the choices matter a bit less though the game

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. I'm a big fan of the first oxenfree game that came out back in 2016, as it was the first game on my Xbox and the first game I ever 100% completed, when I saw this sequel I knew I had to play it, and it really did not disappoint, I love how they brought back the original gang from the first game, I'm glad that they did release this game, but was pretty bummed when it wasn't released on Xbox, so I'm lucky to have both the series x and ps5. Overall I give the game a 9 out of 10 Full Review »

    Phone/Netflix review-

10/10 Music: When a games makes me go to spotify to add songs to my playlist its a 10/10. The music on the radio is good too.
5/10 Gameplay: Its basically a walking simulator, Slow walking, and going to the same locations over and over again, they to add lots of dialogue which makes it a lot more interesting. Exploring has no rewards in the game. I wish the game did the fetch quests for me while I could have managed the radios and dialogue.
10/10 Story/Innovation/Relationships: Its really fun playing with the radios and talking with all the characters in the game.

Overall: A fun play through. The mystery of the characters, and what the heck is going on with the island kept me engaged and wanting to come back.
