Jun 18, 2025Ultimately, Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most remarkable games you can buy for the launch of the Switch 2. Firsty, because the port proves what Nintendo's console is technically capable of. And secondly because this is just a massive, excellent RPG that has matured nicely, indeed.

Jul 1, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is more than just a competent adaptation—it's a true stress test for the Switch 2’s hardware. Thanks to CD Projekt Red’s technical “sorcery” in making the port happen, the game showcases what Nintendo’s hybrid console is capable of in this generation. More importantly, it offers a glimpse into the kind of relationship the Japanese company hopes to build with third-party developers. If firepower was what the Switch 2 needed, there's nothing quite like Cyberpunk to prove its combat potential.

Jun 7, 2025CD Projekt demonstrates what Nintendo's new console is capable of with a fantastic port that will serve as a benchmark for all third-party games coming to Switch 2. If you prefer to play on a handheld rather than a TV, this version of Cyberpunk 2077 lives up to its name: it's the ultimate edition.

Aug 1, 2025I wasn’t sure what to expect with Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch. Having played the original, pre-patched version of the game, I was anticipating some elements of trouble, or at the very least, severe graphical downgrades that would impact my personal enjoyment. To my delight, I got nothing of the sort. This really is an excellent port, and one that reveals just how much better and more robust the Nintendo Switch 2 is, compared to its predecessor. It’s a great sign for the future, too. Third-party developers should be encouraged by this port, knowing the Switch 2 really is capable of handling massive AAA adventures, with only some caveats needed to deliver a good-looking, good feeling experience for players.

Jun 8, 2025The implementation of Cyberpunk 2077 for the Nintendo Switch 2 is absolutely successful: both technically and in terms of content, it offers a strong role-playing package. Only graphically, the version is clearly inferior to the PS5, PC, and Xbox competition.

Jun 14, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is a port that feels miraculous in many ways, managing to stand out clearly in the handheld space and delivering truly impressive visuals even when docked, although the 30 fps of Quality Mode undeniably represent a compromise. Packed with options and features, this edition of CD Projekt RED's action RPG benefits from the many improvements made to the experience over the years, and the end result is once again a rich, engaging, and captivating adventure.

Jun 11, 2025The Nintendo Switch 2 made the choice to add Cyberpunk 2077 to its list of launch games, and this was clearly not a good idea. Unfortunately, it's neither good for the console, which we know is capable of much better, nor for the game, which we can't fully enjoy as it deserves. The game is ugly, no matter which mode you choose, and of the 4 possibilities for playing it, only one remains viable and will still require you to make major concessions: Performance mode with the console in its dock. For the rest, it's best to pass. It's a pity, because this version of Cyberpunk 2077 makes excellent use of the feature that transforms the Joy-Con into a mouse, the sensations are very good, and as a bonus it includes the Phantom Liberty DLC and all the updates released to date. It was ambitious, and well attempted, but it falls flat. Asking gamers for 70€ and telling them to make concessions, at the very launch of a new console, is just not possible. So avoid it, unless you really have no choice but to play the game for a very long time.
