Requiem is a triumph of modern Resident Evil, with alternating perspectives between Grace and Leon keeping the pacing dynamic, puzzles that challenge your wits, and exploration that rewards careful observation. The gameplay loop feels both familiar and refined, all while weaving decades of Resident Evil lore into a coherent, satisfying narrative. With its depth, content, and meticulously crafted gameplay, Requiem earns a confident recommendation as a must-buy for fans and newcomers alike.

Resident Evil: Requiem is an utter triumph. It’s gripping and scary and thrilling in all the right ways. It’s a contemporary horror masterpiece that pays tribute to the series’ history while also marching it proudly into the future. Although it isn’t quite as pretty and smooth on Switch 2, Requiem is largely the same experience here that you’ll be getting elsewhere, and thus is a must-own for Nintendo fans. Definitely consider downloading the game today.

Resident Evil Requiem wonderfully blends survival horror and action, featuring two compelling protagonists with starkly different experiences that keep the gameplay fresh. The story is excellent, fitting nicely into the Resident Evil universe at large, and the game runs really well on the Nintendo Switch 2.

I highly recommend Resident Evil Requiem for anyone who only has a Switch 2 or who particularly enjoys switching from TV to handheld mode (with headphones, of course). If you're not looking for maximum fidelity and visual luxuries above all else, this is a very serious port that knows where to make sacrifices and therefore retains the shock value and immersion of the lead version, a great job by Capcom and automatically one of the best games in the Nintendo Switch 2's young catalogue.

A grand return of a horror legend that balances survival horror and action, not all ideas landing equally well. As a whole, however, it is a superbly crafted, audiovisually stunning, and highly entertaining blockbuster that confirms Capcom’s firm grasp on its flagship series. Despite minor issues, it stands as a fantastic horror ride that only narrowly misses the absolute peak of the franchise.

Resident Evil Requiem shines in its incredible first half, which masterfully blends pulse-pounding horror with intense action. Unfortunately, that winning formula isn’t maintained throughout the latter sections, which devolve into fan-service moments strung together by an increasingly sloppy plot. Still enjoyable, but ironic that an instalment about moving on from the past would be so weighed down by it.
