Mar 4, 2026A visually intoxicating journey across an alien world, as full of cute critters as it is murderous robots. Planet of Lana 2 builds on the original game with a wider scope and worthwhile mechanical changes. The mix of stealth, platforming and Mui-based puzzles keeps Lana’s journey feeling fresh throughout.
-
Mar 31, 2026A strong follow-up to the original, mixing together a variety of environmental puzzles and challenges with an unspoken story that’s endearing.

May 12, 2026Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is a story driven puzzle platformer that focuses on atmosphere and character connection. The puzzles are varied but generally easy, keeping the experience smooth and well-paced. While it’s polished and engaging, its short length and light challenge may leave some players wanting more.

Mar 16, 2026Planet of Lana II is quite a successful sequel that builds on the original in pretty much every way. Wishfully also tells its story in a fascinating way that still leaves every intention and action crystal clear. It might take some time to adjust to inputs, but it’s a brief adventure with interesting puzzles and a promising cliffhanger.

Mar 16, 2026Planet of Lana II: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition does not reinvent the original but it does a marvelous job at going further than its predecessor when it comes to its exquisite art style and smooth cooperation between the two companions. The way the puzzles and their resolution merge with the game's minimalistic (but by no means unimportant) plot helps cementing Planet of Lana II as one of the finest puzzle platformers of its generation, and its solid visual performance on the Switch 2 makes this version the best way to experience it.

May 13, 2026There are new puzzle ideas, the music is consistently great, and the story is only slightly less exciting. The convenient shifting of the setting bothered me – the lack of continuity in this adventure, despite the variety that comes with it, was jarring.
