Jun 18, 2025Ultimately, Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most remarkable games you can buy for the launch of the Switch 2. Firsty, because the port proves what Nintendo's console is technically capable of. And secondly because this is just a massive, excellent RPG that has matured nicely, indeed.
-
Jun 11, 2025The Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is a stellar port of one of the best action RGPs of the last decade. And, at the same time, it is a manifesto of the passion and care CD Projekt put into their games and of the potential of the newest Nintendo hardware. We sincerely hope this marks a new era of fantastic third party support for Switch 2.
-
Jun 6, 2025Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the best and most beautiful story role-playing games - even on the Switch 2.
-
Aug 7, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for the Switch 2 is a technically impressive port that delivers the full experience in a portable form without major compromises. Despite a few weaker spots in visuals and battery life, it offers a surprisingly smooth and visually striking ride. Thanks to smart adjustments, it plays excellently even in handheld mode. And at its core, it’s still one of the best RPGs of recent years, now simply available to take with you anywhere.
-
Aug 3, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition brings a massive, must-play RPG to Nintendo Switch 2. Its solid performance and fantastic visuals are technically impressive and a real showcase of what the system can do. Throw in a wealth of Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive features, plus a handy progression sharing system, and you have the best way to play it on the go.
-
Aug 1, 2025I wasn’t sure what to expect with Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch. Having played the original, pre-patched version of the game, I was anticipating some elements of trouble, or at the very least, severe graphical downgrades that would impact my personal enjoyment. To my delight, I got nothing of the sort. This really is an excellent port, and one that reveals just how much better and more robust the Nintendo Switch 2 is, compared to its predecessor. It’s a great sign for the future, too. Third-party developers should be encouraged by this port, knowing the Switch 2 really is capable of handling massive AAA adventures, with only some caveats needed to deliver a good-looking, good feeling experience for players.
-
Jul 28, 2025Cyberpunk 2077 for Nintendo Switch 2 is arguably the definitive way to play this incredible game. Despite some issues with the controls and textures looking odd at a distance, I was very impressed with how CD Projekt Red managed to fit this massive title into a 64 GB game cartridge with very few compromises and visuals that sometimes look as impressive as the PlayStation 5 version. If you have a Switch 2 and have been looking to play Cyberpunk 2077, you now have the best possible way to do so.
-
Jul 17, 2025Despite some issues with the Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is a fantastic package filled with content that will give those who don’t have another way to play it or who want it on a handheld a game that has risen from the ashes to be what it should have been from day one. Cyberpunk 2077 still isn’t a perfect game, but it is an excellent one which anyone who enjoys the genre needs to give a second chance if its poor launch put them off.
-
Jul 14, 2025Given everything that happened with Cyberpunk 2077 at the start of its life, the fact that the Ultimate Edition is here, is exemplary, and works wonderfully on the Switch 2 is something of a miracle. But it is. The base game is great. The expansion is entertaining. It looks fantastic on the system both docked and undocked. It runs flawlessly. The mouse controls help showcase why that feature is such a wise option for the Switch 2 as a console. It even makes motion controls feel fun and worthwhile. It’s absolutely wonderful and worth playing on the Switch 2.
-
Jul 11, 2025Ultimate Edition works as a solid showcase of the Switch 2’s capabilities, at least between the occasional crash. It generally runs great, and playing such a massive production in handheld mode is a hell of a novelty. You can use the Joy-cons to activate commands via gestures, though as usual with such things, gyro’s best used for a little refinement while aiming...Whether on the Switch 2 or not, Cyberpunk 2077 is a fantastic RPG, especially after years of bodywork, and it has some of the best storytelling you’ll get out of the “AAA” space. I’ve played it so intently that I don’t even cringe when I hear cyberslang like “choom” and “preem” anymore...Can’t think of a more nova endorsement than that, ya gonk!
-
Jul 1, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is more than just a competent adaptation—it's a true stress test for the Switch 2’s hardware. Thanks to CD Projekt Red’s technical “sorcery” in making the port happen, the game showcases what Nintendo’s hybrid console is capable of in this generation. More importantly, it offers a glimpse into the kind of relationship the Japanese company hopes to build with third-party developers. If firepower was what the Switch 2 needed, there's nothing quite like Cyberpunk to prove its combat potential.
-
Jun 20, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Switch 2 offers a complete, content-rich experience with solid performance, exclusive improvements, and fair pricing. Despite some technical compromises, it remains a must-play RPG. A great entry point for newcomers.
-
Jun 20, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on the Switch 2 can rightly be called the most complete edition of the game. Okay, visually it's not comparable to playing the game on a PlayStation 5 Pro, but those who don't obsess over graphics will get a game with multiple control options and the ability to play it in handheld form at a fine resolution.
-
Jun 17, 2025Bundling up the base game along with the Phantom Liberty expansion and many, many updates, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition offers tens, if not hundreds, of hours of engrossing open world action. Now a launch title for Switch 2, while its visuals are a little blurier than elsewhere and performance not as stable, it remains an impressive port, especially if you mainly plan to play in handheld mode.
-
Jun 17, 2025Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is a true achievement for Nintendo’s new Switch 2 that will pave the path for more next-gen AAA titles on this console. The game not only looks great but plays exceptionally well and being able to play Cyberpunk 2077 on the go is worth the admission price of Night City!
-
Jun 17, 2025Cyberpunk 2077 is just as impressive on the Nintendo Switch 2. It includes the fantastic base game and its equally strong expansion, and it runs remarkably well. The game looks stunning — especially in handheld mode — and performs great, particularly when you enable the performance mode’s framerate boost. In handheld mode, the analog sticks lack a bit of precision, making motion controls almost essential. It's a shame you can’t dynamically switch between gamepad and mouse controls. Still, Cyberpunk 2077 is a fantastic experience that will keep you engaged for many hours in a beautifully crafted world.
-
Jun 16, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is a clear example of the great effort CD Projekt Red put into bringing this port to the Nintendo Switch 2, with excellent optimization to enjoy the game on the console. Whether docked or in handheld mode, the visuals shine thanks to NVIDIA’s new technology on this system. This is one of those titles that Switch 2 users will be able to enjoy without compromise.
-
Jun 12, 2025Cyberpunk 2077’s Nintendo Switch 2 port offers you a new way to play in the form of fluid motion controls, which has quickly become my favorite way to enjoy the combat in Night City. One of the best RPGs of the last decade is right at home on the new console, and I highly recommend both new and old fans give it a try.
-
Jun 12, 2025Cyberpunk 2077’s on the Switch 2 is visually striking, content-packed, and the best handheld version yet.
-
Jun 11, 2025CD Projekt Red’s done a fantastic job of bringing Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty DLC and all, to the Nintendo Switch 2. While there are some compromises that had to be made, the experience is still excellent - making this one of the best ways to play the epic RPG on the go.
-
Jun 7, 2025While my goal was to play Phantom Liberty straight away, I've put aside the DLC to re-immerse myself in Night City on a screen smaller than 8 inches, demonstrating the enormous potential it has for multiplatform titles. A new way to rediscover one of the best video games of recent years, without any technical issues or shortcomings compared to the home console version.
-
Jun 7, 2025CD Projekt demonstrates what Nintendo's new console is capable of with a fantastic port that will serve as a benchmark for all third-party games coming to Switch 2. If you prefer to play on a handheld rather than a TV, this version of Cyberpunk 2077 lives up to its name: it's the ultimate edition.
-
Jun 6, 2025Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is a remarkable launch-day port for Nintendo's new console. Its deep, diverse, and tangible world is fully realised with impressive performance for such a low-powered device. If you've not taken your first steps into Night City already, or you're a long-time player with a portable-play itch that needs scratching, you're in for a serious treat, choom.
-
Jun 24, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Switch 2 offers a shockingly strong and enjoyable port of CD Projekt’s massive RPG, delivering impressive image quality, solid performance in Quality mode, and the full game plus Phantom Liberty with minimal compromises, though technical issues persist in high-demand areas like Dogtown and the city feels less alive due to reduced crowds and vehicles.
-
Jun 20, 2025Many thought it almost impossible to bring a “heavy” game like Cyberpunk 2077 to Switch 2 with comforting results, but mission accomplished. Obviously some compromises had to be made that make this version oscillate between those of the old- and new-gen consoles, but overall the CD Projekt behemoth performs more than adequately and proves to be an experience worthy of remaining in history. Instead, the Phantom Liberty expansion suffers a little more than expected.
-
Jun 27, 2025Cyberpunk 2077 is a fantastic starting point for Nintendo to keep third-party developers on board. I can't think of a better game to showcase what the console is capable of.
-
Jun 14, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is a port that feels miraculous in many ways, managing to stand out clearly in the handheld space and delivering truly impressive visuals even when docked, although the 30 fps of Quality Mode undeniably represent a compromise. Packed with options and features, this edition of CD Projekt RED's action RPG benefits from the many improvements made to the experience over the years, and the end result is once again a rich, engaging, and captivating adventure.
-
Jun 13, 2025Cyberpunk 2077 on the Switch 2 delivers on its promise, offering a solid graphical experience, with the new control options being quite interesting. Performance can vary negatively depending on the game mode you choose, but with a few adjustments, you can definitely enjoy an experience on the Switch 2 that's on par with other modern platforms.
-
Jun 12, 2025Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch 2 succeeds where few expected. Accepting the technical compromises required for this format, the experience is robust, immersive, and close to the console versions in terms of content. It was a risky bet, but it's generally a success. This port demonstrates that Nintendo's new console is capable of hosting recent AAA titles without relying on the cloud, which opens up interesting prospects for the future of the catalog.
-
Jun 11, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition includes the original sci-fi epic and its brilliant expansion, delivering a package that every Action RPG fan should experience. The Nintendo Switch 2 version offers a range of control options, with gyro aiming standing out as a valuable addition that enhances gameplay. While other platforms may offer higher frame rates and sharper visuals, this is a strong port, and an excellent way to experience the adventure on the go.
-
Jun 9, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Switch 2 delivers an impressive portable take on CD Projekt Red’s sci-fi RPG, combining all updates, DLCs, and the Phantom Liberty expansion in one complete package. With support for DLSS, gyro aiming, optional pointer-style motion controls, and cross-save functionality, the game makes smart use of the Switch 2’s unique capabilities.
-
Jun 8, 2025The implementation of Cyberpunk 2077 for the Nintendo Switch 2 is absolutely successful: both technically and in terms of content, it offers a strong role-playing package. Only graphically, the version is clearly inferior to the PS5, PC, and Xbox competition.
-
Jul 1, 2025So it’s a bit of a faff to find the right setup for you, but once you have it, Nintendo Switch 2 is a perfectly cromulent way to play Cyberpunk 2077. It’s by no means the best way, as it has performance issues and limitations that the other current-gen versions don’t have, but it’s still Cyberpunk 2077; it’s still one of the best western RPGs in recent memory, and the novelty I get out of playing it on a handheld device never ceases to make me smile.
-
Jun 30, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 delivers a deep narrative and versatile gameplay with solid TV-mode performance and innovative controls, despite handheld frame-rate drops and occasional visual glitches. Recommended for RPG fans seeking a premium portable experience and optimistic about Switch 2’s AAA potential.
-
Jun 30, 2025It seems miraculous that one of the most graphically intensive games that gave the PS4 a headache is available on Switch 2. But here it is and CD Projekt Red have worked wonders to bring this game to life on a handheld device.
-
Jun 23, 2025Even though the Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 has some performance issues, especially with the Phantom Liberty expansion, there is still a great experience to be had. The game performs surprisingly well when you use the Switch 2 as a handheld, which makes this the best version for Cyberpunk 2077 on the go.
-
Jun 20, 2025If you haven't played Cyberpunk 2077 before and are curious about the game, this is a version you will have fun with and be impressed by. If you have played it before and are eager to run through it again, I would say that the entertainment value will vary depending on your tolerance for graphical downgrading. It certainly doesn't look like it does on a top-tuned PC, but there's nothing quite as eye-catching about Switch 2, and CD Projekt Red has done an impressive job of bringing it all together.
-
Jun 17, 2025The game itself remains a remarkably deep RPG with well written characters, even if the story itself doesn’t grab you right away. This is a largely successful version of the game with a few caveats but it is certainly one of the best ways to play Cyberpunk 2077 on the go.
-
Jun 17, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition may not offer the best gameplay experience, but it still stands as an interesting option thanks to its portable mode, controller integration, and current technical performance. This time around, CD Projekt RED did its homework.
-
Jun 13, 2025Cyberpunk 2077 runs solidly on the Switch 2. It’s not the optimum way to experience the game because it’s still better served on a PlayStation or PC. There are drops in quality intermittently but it’s impressive that the developer, CD Projekt Red, has managed to squash a game of this size onto the Switch 2.
-
Jun 11, 2025Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is quite a stunning port with various modes and features to enhance the playthrough, but could be too demanding sometimes, especially in the Phantom Liberty expansion.
-
Jun 10, 2025An inferior version for sure, but not a bad one. Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2 makes some necessary sacrifices, but still retains everything that makes this a great game.
-
Jun 11, 2025The Nintendo Switch 2 made the choice to add Cyberpunk 2077 to its list of launch games, and this was clearly not a good idea. Unfortunately, it's neither good for the console, which we know is capable of much better, nor for the game, which we can't fully enjoy as it deserves. The game is ugly, no matter which mode you choose, and of the 4 possibilities for playing it, only one remains viable and will still require you to make major concessions: Performance mode with the console in its dock. For the rest, it's best to pass. It's a pity, because this version of Cyberpunk 2077 makes excellent use of the feature that transforms the Joy-Con into a mouse, the sensations are very good, and as a bonus it includes the Phantom Liberty DLC and all the updates released to date. It was ambitious, and well attempted, but it falls flat. Asking gamers for 70€ and telling them to make concessions, at the very launch of a new console, is just not possible. So avoid it, unless you really have no choice but to play the game for a very long time.

Jun 12, 2025At this point, I don’t want anyone telling me what this system can’t do. I’ve seen it. I’ve played it. And Cyberpunk 2077 remains one of the best games of the last 10 years. From its main story with Keanu Reeves’ incredible performance, to its fleshed-out side stories, to Idris Elba’s performance in “Phantom Liberty.” Every piece of this game is special. And now, I can take it with me wherever I go. [Best In Its Class]
