The combat system is fantastic and innovative, hellishly difficult, but its humiliation and battle are incredibly fulfilling. Sekiro looks great, moves great, and the design environment and levels are phenomenal.

It is a game that will be more to the taste of Bloodborne players than Dark Souls players, but if you enjoy tough yet rewarding gameplay, and an interesting world exploration, filled with scenery and intermittent boss fights, Sekiro will be for you.

Boasting the best swordfighting in the business, Sekiro is a game of rare but deserved self-assurance. You’ll despair as it breaks you down, but then you’ll exult as it builds you up. It’s a journey like little else in gaming, and if you’re up for the challenge, you absolutely have to play it.
  5. A new gift from the Software company to the game world.

Doubt no more: From Sekiro is a true From Software game, demanding and technical. Despite its not-so-inspired stealth sequences, Sekiro rewards the player each step he/she takes, with visceral sword-fighting and gorgeous landscapes.

Jumping off Dark Souls, FromSoftware removed all the best components of its hit series in order to make Sekiro. It's a decent slasher if you like honing reflexes or breaking bricks with your forehead. More casual players will quickly get bored, though.

From Software managed to make yet another master piece!
With a unique fresh combat system, that feels similar to Dark Souls and Bloodborne, yet, completely different so that you can't rely on your former muscle memory.

This time, combat evolves around parrying your enemies attack to break their posture. The game manages to make you feel truly satisfied when over coming a mini or true boss because you've mastered his move sets and timings.

The game feels too hard at times, especially towards the end, but that's only because no other game you've played before requires this kind of input. I needed 4 hours, including grinding for more attack power, until I finally beat the last boss for the first time. Now I kill him almost always on my first attempt. The game offers you subtle ways to make the game harder, in one way with an item that makes enemies hit harder, while also giving more reward, and another way is an item which, when giving away, makes your blocks (or not perfect parries), deal a little damage to you (this one is only unlocked after beating the game once and carries over even to a new save file, I guess so new players won't accidentally make the game harder than it already is).

The game could use a bit more polish with some mechanics, like the special abilities and your secondary weapons, for they don't feel all useful and you might only use 2-3 of the available options (there are plenty of skills and secondary weapons, you might stick to a certain set for your play style the whole game through).

Nothing negatively mentioned would be worth reducing the points for the whole game is such a great experience that nothing else could compare to it. So far, there's only one game only announced where you play a humanoid monkey, that has the looks as if it will play like Sekiro, so Sekiro holds a candle of being yet another unique master piece from the Dark Souls makers.
