Square Enix did an amazing job with the port of FF7 Remake on PC. The game runs like a dream and can exceed the console versions in terms of visuals and performance, with a beefy PC. The keyboard controls are functional, but the game was originally designed with a controller in mind, so there's only so much that can be done in this regard. FF7 Remake on PC is the total package in terms of content and performance, and the people who have waited patiently for the game can be assured that the PC version is a high-quality offering, with a more complete version of the story than what was available in the PS4 version at launch.

The PC version brings all that was great about the original, plus some additional technical problems we did not expect to see after an excellent Final Fantasy XV PC port. Even though many of these problems can be easily fixed if you know how to google and are not afraid of mods, the lack of graphical upgrades and options still disappoints those who expected something more. But all of this still can’t be enough to diminish the final verdict, and this game remains to be an amazing title no one should miss, no matter which platform you choose to play it on.

FF7R is a fantastic reimaging of the iconic title. Refusing to classify itself as a nostalgia act, it expands upon the original narrative in new and exciting ways. The combat system has a seamless fluidity to it, allowing for engaging and entertaining gameplay sequences. Artistically, FF7R retains the level of quality players have come to expect from Square Enix, but it does falter ever so slightly in some environments. The updated rendition of the classic OST is outstanding from start to finish, with the sound design team matching it in every regard.

A terrific return to form for singleplayer Final Fantasy that makes the series' future exciting, in a barebones (though functional) PC package.

An authentic remake of the classic role-playing game with impressive technology, but it's missing more than two-thirds of the original's content.

Yes, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is still that excellent game that amazed us in its console launch, but we expected far more from the PC version. It's maddening really, that with all the technological advancement it doesn't look better. This is not the port that consumers deserve, but the one that Square Enix could deliver.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PC is the same great game known from consoles, reviving the spirit of the original from 1997... But which, at the same time, suffers from bad decisions of the developers who chose to ignore the specifics of the PC platform, while charging quite a prohibitive sum for it. This simply shouldn't be happening.

No. Simple solution for Dynamic res exists and 21:9 is not standard.
Stutters ? i don't have them , this is something blow out of proportions cause of price . Stupid angry revolt . Denuvo is Ok now , nobody complains, also microtrans DLC's are fine but good port with good PC controls should be bombed for 10$ more. Not Ok , games are not company that sell them.
You all know game is outstanding ,only if it not your cup of tea as a type of game .

O jogo é excelente, mas é linear. Isso pra RPG fica ridículo. Mesmo assim o jogo consegue ser muito bom e te prende do começo ao fim.

The scenario at first, it's quite simple I found it simply bad. It's long, nothing much happens, the dialogues are pathetic but it's very well written, you can't blame it.
The characters all seemed to me rather ordinary, not to say stupid, no way to get attached to them.
Cloud is the (Japanese) archetype of the taciturn hero, unfortunately he lacks charisma, Aerith raves about flowers, Barrett speaks too loudly. Every time he opens his mouth it is to shout. Remain Tifa, she doesn't fly more than the others but she fights hand to hand, that's a quality. I won't talk about Sephirot, we don't see him much but his appearances were more ridiculous than the others but well, we'll say that the character will be developed in the sequel. It reminds me that someone told me that Cloud was autistic, it's a bit the feeling I have with Sephirot. What if this was FF7, a fight to the death between two autistic people?

The worst thing is that if the main storyline is not very inspired, it's much worse in the side quests. And people are even more stupid I think. It seems to be the norm in Midgar.
An example comes to mind where we talk to a guy and he tells us he is a journalist and wants to know about the guardian angel, a thief who steals from the rich to give to the poor. Cloud who then has a flash of genius asks him why he would not go to make it himself, the journalist answers him that he tried to question the inhabitants of the shantytown but that he had discovered that he was journalist and of the blow did not wish to cooperate. It turns out that the NPC in question is wearing an armband with press written on it. One wonders how they found out about his job.
And the game is full of this kind of nonsense, some will see it as second degree. I'll let everyone make up their own mind.

Another thing that bothered me a lot during the whole game. The fact that the game stutters. It is constantly stopping you from playing.
Whether it's through pointless cinematics that are unnecessarily long every 4 minutes, the crevasses to cross during the whole adventure, the very regular moments where the game decides to make you walk or the famous pipes to cross with the agility of a ryo hazuki. It was tiring.
Game, let me **** play.
Besides, there are too many cinematic, they are there all the time it's tiring. It must have a ratio of 5 minutes of gameplay for 15 minutes of cinematics.

Now it's time for the level design:
It's quite simple, there is none. It's a straight line, generally the dungeons and the cities are a very small area. At least I don't risk to be lost, that's something.

The RPG systems, well, again, they don't break the bank.
So we have the usual stats increases at each level, a skill tree (as ugly as not very ergonomic by the way) on each weapon, which allows you to increase the damage, to have some passives or to unlock material slots, nothing original but it does the job.
I have to say that I have mixed feelings about the materials system. I would have preferred that our characters gain skills as they level up, instead of having to place spells directly in slots. It's not an idea ♥♥♥♥, it allows to make a choice between the skills to choose, the thing that annoys me is that there are a lot of materiala that I never used. Why would I do ♥♥♥♥♥ to take Flight, when I can have a materiala that allows me to throw Haste or a physical shield. That's my big regret, we focus on the useful materia and leave the rest aside because of lack of space.

The combat system is the greatest quality of this game. Well in normal, its biggest flaw is that the game is really very easy. But it is still a nice game system.
Nothing very complicated, you launch analysis, you look at the weaknesses of the enemies, you raise your shock bar and then you chain it with everything that passes under your sword. But it's fun and it works, that's all we ask. I wouldn't have minded a little more challenge in normal though. I was told that the hard mode was good for pushing the battle system unfortunately you unlock it after finishing the game. And I don't really want to do it again.

Some sequences that I found very heavy and without interest too. The motorcycle, the platform / QTE of Tifa, the dance contest, the mini squat game. It has the merit of being done quickly. Well, except for the last phase on the motorcycle which was too long for its own good.

Technically it's solid, the music is good and artistically it's nice too. In fact, apart from Cloud and Sephirot who look very poor cosplay from the japan expo I think it looks pretty good.

it's not worth more than 20€/$ for me.
