Trinity Trigger will certainly endear itself to fans of 90s JRPGs with its aesthetic and world-building for sure but do bear in mind that emulating the 90s isn’t always a good thing in video-game land.

Color Pals is a colourful 2D maze-like adventure puzzle title. This straightforward concept is easy to understand and thoroughly enjoyable to experience. Furthermore, it is addictive, annoying, and worth every penny.

Strayed Lights is a strange and immersive adventure title. With interesting stage design, incredible audio, and slick combat, this is one game that shouldn't be missed. It wasn't on my radar, but I'm glad I got to experience it.

Abalon is a fantastic game that is worth checking out. It has incredibly fun gameplay with plenty of depth to keep you hooked for hours. It also has a fantastic setting with beautifully written lore. Underneath the awful art style is a great game with content that will keep you playing. I strongly recommend giving this game a chance if it at all sounds interesting to you as I think it is a great game.

Varney Lake is a coming-of-age adventure that is full of mini-games. With a dated aesthetic and slow gameplay, this may not be for everyone. However, fans of Mothman 1966 will enjoy this short endeavour.

Bright, colourful graphics and a clever combat system make Dungeon Drafters a delight to play. A cluster of irritations make its fights drag on a bit too much but its deckbuilding and smart mechanics make up for it.

DE-EXIT - Eternal Matters is a death-inspired title that has a touching and amusing plot. With Voxel graphics, incredible audio, and brilliant controls, this won't disappoint. However, a lack of combat mechanics may annoy some gamers.

Cavity Busters is a tough and cruel rogue-like that will test you throughout. It is this challenging concept that'll discourage newcomers. However, if you love a brutal time, then look no further. On top of this, the visuals are grim, the level design is great, and the controls are slick.

I do believe Tower Simulator 3 is good at its actual air port simulation but what’s missing here is everything that makes a game actually a game, something someone would actually want to play and not just observe and in that regard Tower Simulator 3 completely misses the mark. I really wish I could enjoy just setting the graphics up, look at these beautiful planes take off and roleplay as if I’m actually in a tower on a bright early morning, but sadly with all of my attempts this just didn’t happen.

Desktop Dungeons: Rewind, is an enjoyable game with a lot of puzzle-based gameplay and a variety of different modes. Unfortunately, the game has faults like the cheesy dialogue and the intrusive UI. However, the amazing character designs, amount of content, and great puzzle gameplay far outweigh the bad. Although the game can be frustratingly difficult, the game is still overall an entertaining experience. I recommend giving this game a chance if you are interested in trying out this unique hybrid of rouge-like and puzzle gameplay.

Monster Energy Supercross 6 is an incredible addition to the franchise. Thanks to its deep career mode and excellent online action, this will keep you busy. On top of this, the graphics are amazing and the audio is obnoxious but brilliant. Furthermore, the difficulty settings and academy make this perfect for veterans and newcomers alike.

The Library of Babel is a lore-rich stealth adventure title. What's more, it incorporates some Metroidvania mechanics to add a layer of difficulty. However, its slow gameplay and confusing text make it challenging to play. Accordingly, it doesn't reach its potential and that was disappointing.

Live A Live is an excellent set of stories contained within a very polished package. The remastered elements are fantastic, with the music and art a particular highlight. Sadly some elements of 90s video games have not aged well and could’ve done with an update here. Having said that, if you love a nostalgia trip and have the odd masochistic tendency then this will easily be a 10/10 for you as what it does well it knocks out of the park.

It’s important to remember that this is a remake, so sure, it has some awkwardly outdated NPC pathing and interaction and graphically, some textures look a little flat. Though these are minor issues, I’m nit-picking as a reviewer. I can’t deny that I loved being transported to late-Edo Japan and embarking on this epic story, playing all the little minigames, exploring the world, engaging in katana swordfights and more. The care, attention, and enhancements this game received set it above every other game in the Yakuza franchise. It’s a must-play.

The game is also exclusive to PS5 of all things supposedly because it hopes to implement PSVR. Not for the actual game mind you, but just for a first person cutscene at the beginning. I’m not sure of the story behind this exclusivity, but this seems like an odd way to split your fanbase especially when the last game was available on practically everything.

Legend of Keepers is a reverse dungeon-crawler with rogue-lite mechanics. Consequently, it is often cruel, unfair, and tough. However, it is moreish, unusual, and interesting. As such, it surprised me and I struggled to put it down once I got into it.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an incredible action-adventure title that is touching and beautiful to look at. Furthermore, the combat is slick; the landscapes are fascinating and the level design is amazing. However, minor performance issues taint the finished product.

As Far as the Eye is a fantastic nomadic base-building title with unusual mechanics. What's more, its tough learning curve is unfortunately off putting. However, if you can wade through the initial pain, you'll enjoy a strange and fascinating affair.

It feels like they’ve taken a bundle of ideas and thrown them at the wall. Not all of them stick. The funhouse, for example, fell straight off into the waste paper basket. But enough of them stick to leave me with a good feeling. It even managed to pull off a satisfying final boss fight, even if the bad ending spoiled that feeling somewhat. Ultimately, Suffer The Night struggles to emerge from its inconsistencies but if Tainted Pact can learn from its lessons, then they could make something truly great.

Trifox is a fun and challenging game that is sure to appeal to fans of action-adventure games. The game’s graphics are colourful, and the gameplay is fluid and responsive. Trifox is a great choice for players who are fans of the genre and want to try something unique.

Sweet Bakery Tycoon is a fun and addictive simulation title. Can you manage your bakery and serve every customer? Earn 3 stars and loads of cash as you improve every element of your cafe. With cute graphics, loveable audio, and challenging gameplay, this is worth every penny. However, the action can become repetitive if played for too long.

Boss Rush Mythology is a tough arena-based Souls-like fighting game. With nothing but bosses to fight, you have to be on top of your game to succeed. Furthermore, you must study every strength and weakness as you tackle each cruel mythological overlord.

With a simple UI and a basic story to follow, I believe Lightracer Spark is a great addition to anyone’s library that is looking for something soothing to play. With a tutorial that ensures players are knowledgeable about the mechanics here as well as a visual style that makes it easy to get lost in, this game is a relaxing journey to go through that has moments of frustration. If you are able to overcome this initial feeling of frustration and really commit these mechanics to memory, you will find a gem of a game that utilizes all of the mechanics introduced in the game. It is nice to see that everything introduced here continues to show up down the road, even if it is infrequent and hard to recall right away.

Unfortunately, this isn’t long enough. Around 5 hours will get you through the body of the game and that was disappointing. Yes, there are collectables to find, but these add little to the action. What was great, though, were the interesting puzzles and riddles. These slower elements added some difficulty while breaking up the never-ending fights.

For now, I definitely think it is a great niche option for deckbuilding fans that love a challenge, and the strategy involved surely had me biting and coming around to look forward to trying more deck building games in the future.

Your enjoyment of Labyrinth of Zangetsu will largely depend on how you feel about dungeon crawlers as a whole: despite its fascinating aesthetics, at its core this game is a very familiar experience. If you’re not already a fan of the genre, this probably won’t be a particularly enjoyable use of your time. However, if you’re looking for your next dungeon crawler fix, you could do much worse than Labyrinth of Zangetsu.

Escape from The Red Planet may have its flaws, however, it is still a fun game. From its pleasant visuals to its engaging gameplay, this title is an enjoyable experience. Despite the repetitive soundtrack and the lack of content within the game, I recommend playing this game.

Little Witch Nobeta is nothing special. It does nothing better than any other number of games I could name. Its gameplay becomes fairly stale the moment you realise how truly limited your options are, there’s no sense of character building beyond flat stat upgrades, and the level variety is so stale that if not for some puzzles, I would have been convinced that the levels were randomly generated. The game has some love put into it with the unlockable costumes and the small lore tidbits, but I just can’t recommend this to anyone who’s played a souls/ soulslike game before. Sure it’s fairly cheap, but there’s no shortage of cheap (and better) soulslikes.

What The Bat is a fun-filled, imaginative VR puzzle game that, as you can imagine, involves a lot of hitting things with a bat! While it’s not always perfect, it’s an imaginative and fun game and worth trying.

Havendock is a cute and addictive base building title. Can you manage yourself, your settlers, and the surrounding world to survive for as long as possible? Build structures, farm, fish, and dive below the waves in this wonderfully deep city-building experience.

A sleek and good-looking zombie smashing experience. Great combat and sense of humour are shackled to a sadly formulaic feel.

Not For Broadcast is a fantastic political simulation title. With whacky characters, interesting scenarios, and multiple outcomes, this will keep you busy for hours. Can you manipulate your audience and change the political landscape?

OTXO is an incredible noir-shooter. Played out from a top-down perspective, this monochromatic title is hellish, cruel, but oh so addictive. Thanks to the rogue-like mechanics and tough enemies, this will keep you playing for hours. Stand aside Vampire Survivors a new champion has arrived to take your crown!

Ayre and the Crystal Comet is a poor example of the genre. With badly optimised visuals, clumsy controls, and a world devoid of life, this will leave you wanting. On top of this, you can walk through the trees, the swimming animation is awful, and the less we say about the dragon and Ayre, the better! However, it isn't all doom and gloom. No, thankfully, the audio is good; the UI is well-considered, and there is plenty to do. Had the developer spent more time optimising the experience, then the game would have been much improved.

Hyper-5 is an excellent modern shmup. With amazing graphics, excellent audio, and moreish gameplay, this is a must-play title for fans of the genre. What's more, with loads of content, it'll keep you playing for hours.

In conclusion, Beyond Contact may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it has plenty to offer for those who are new to survival games or simply looking for a sci-fi adventure with a distinctive visual twist. If you’re new to survival games or just love the sci-fi aesthetic, it’s definitely worth a shot. But for survival game veterans, it might feel a bit too simple or uninteresting. However, I still encourage others to try Beyond Contact for themselves and see what they think about it. Happy gaming!

Maybe TRON diehards will get more out of Identity than I did. But to me, TRON Identity feels a lot like most TRON media: stale and running out of ideas.

Shadows of Doubt is an incredible and must-play detective simulation game. Thanks to its procedurally generated world, you never know what to expect. Moreover, a vibrant but grim atmosphere hangs in the air like a bad smell. Can you solve every crime you encounter? Search for the clues, piece together the evidence, and point the finger! This is one indie title that you cannot afford to miss. [Early Access Score = 85]

Rusted Moss is as beautiful as it is infuriating. An uncompromising metroidvania that looks and plays great. Its simplicity may lead to a few issues but it has a lot to give if you can break through its high difficulty.

I believe it executes well on what it sets out to accomplish, however the game does feel very rough around the edges and with further polish, could be a much more exciting experience.

Lost Dream: Darkness is one of the worst games I have ever played. If it wasn’t for this review, I would have quit the game halfway throughout of pure boredom. While the sound design is alright, every other aspect of the game is lacking. I do not recommend giving this game a go even for its fairly cheap price. I hope that this title leads to a better game in the future from these developers.

Mangavania is an old-school platformer with a dated aesthetic. What's more, its simple approach works well because of the short stages. However, if you wish to find everything, you must unlock every skill and return to explore the otherwise unreachable areas. My only complaints are a lack of depth and that it ends far too soon.

The Great War: Western Front: is a wonderful treat for those who have experience with the RTS genre and an intense interest in history. For those like myself who have no experience with RTS games however, this can be a major struggle to get through and has the potential to be just another game in a backlog that won’t be touched again after the initial hours.

Akka Arrh is a strange and surreal arcade title that nearly never made the light of day. With psychedelic graphics, a booming soundtrack, and weird mechanics, this is aimed at a niche audience. However, this crazy title can be enjoyed by everyone as you lose yourself in the moment. My only complaint is that things can get a tad hellish.

A nice central idea that's dragged down by a cluster of other frustrations. Shows promise but isn't quite ready for prime time.

Cions of Vega is a slow and atmospheric walking simulator. With interesting puzzles, understated platforming elements, and touching narration, this proves that Bodur is back to his best. However, a lack of replay value and longevity prevents it from excelling.

For a meditation on creativity, you can’t help but wish it had a couple more ideas of its own.

Bayonetta Origins is a fantastic game with a beautiful art style, engaging puzzle gameplay, and an endearing story. In spite of the maze-like forest, the game does an excellent job of guiding you. Furthermore, the game has plenty of accessibility features for players who might struggle with the unique gameplay. Overall, Bayonetta Origins is an incredible game that is always a treat to play.

If you yearn for the days of the classic arcade platformer and don’t mind being abused by non-descript astronauts, then Moons of Darsalon could be worth a bit of your time (and money I guess). Just don’t expect the next classic in the genre.

Defend the Rook is a tough rogue-lite turn-based tower defence title. With multiple classes to pick from, many enemies to thwart, and some challenging levels to overcome, this isn't for the faint of heart. I adored every moment, but sluggish controls let it down. Other than this, it is a great game that should be on your radar.

Postal 4 runs terribly, but maybe that’s the point. It is, at all times, replete with either dated, juvenile, or scatological humour, but I guess that could be the point? Postal 4 sucks, and if that’s the point, then Running With Scissors deserve some sort of Andy Kaufman award. The game costs $40. For me, the final score came down to the question of ‘would I actually pay for this?’ Absolutely not. This was awful. It could very well be a 10 in your eyes, but this is the easiest 2 I’ll ever give.

Yomawari is a beautiful, unique game with a heavy atmosphere and a competent story, but it’s weighed down by too many gamplay issues to warrant paying the $40. Unless you are a pre-established Yomawari fan, or are just in love with this genre of horror, I would wait for a sale, or even scoop up the other games instead.

Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy is a tough rogue-like fantasy adventure title. With vivid graphics, lush audio, and interesting ideas, it has mountains of potential. However, its combat elements and NPC interactions undermine much of the action. Consequently, it could have been amazing, but it isn't as great as it should have been.

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is a challenging soulslike title. What's more, its death mechanics are cruel, there is a distinct lack of guidance, and a day/night cycle makes things tougher still. Yet, stunning graphics and interesting audio keep you going. Furthermore, "The Ritual" is interesting, often unfair, but worthy of your time. Moreover, a range of colourful and interesting characters help to keep you on your toes.

Iris and the Giant is a cruel and melancholy deck-building title. Furthermore, there are rogue-like mechanics, some RPG elements, and a touching story. What's more, I loved the artistry and the audio. Sadly, repetition and occasionally awkward controls taint the otherwise phenomenal experience.

Whilst I enjoyed my time with HEROish I can’t really say that I expect it to change anyone’s life, there are other games in the MOBA space that are far more worthy of your time and money. Not to say that HEROish is a waste of money, £8.50 on Steam isn’t much after all, but then I played it for free so what do I know?

Masterplan Tycoon is a fun, simple, and refined simulation title. What's more, its rudimentary concept ensures that it is easy to understand. However, some minor issues hold it back from reaching its potential.

Ultra Pixel Survive is a survival RPG with an old-school aesthetic. What's more, there are plenty of characters to unlock and loads of monsters to fight. However, a lack of content and repetitive action holds it back. Yet, it is oddly moreish, and I enjoyed my time with it.

Blind Fate: Edo no Yami is an odd adventure title with a sci-fi twist. Furthermore, it has a basic skill tree, some excellent combat, and a wonderful presentation. Unfortunately, though, sluggish controls and repetitive action hold it back. Yet, don't let this take away from an otherwise fantastic experience.

Hotel Renovator is a game that should be handled with caution. While on one side it is a wholly unfinished glorified mesh of Unreal assets being priced on Steam at 24.99€, there are small signs of the game potentially becoming larger in future updates, or maybe even being fixed by its community's mods (something very telling of Two Horizon's intentions in game development). I am giving this game a very wishful six, with hopes of future patches improving on very clear flaws.

Zapling Bygone is a cruel Metroidvania title. What's more, there are plenty of collectables on offer and a range of skulls to find. Consequently, it'll test your ability and keep you on edge throughout. My only annoyance is the sheer difficulty, and the lack of guidance can become frustrating.

An enjoyable, entry level metroidvania. It looks, sounds and plays great even if it is a little on the short side.

ZERO Sievert is an enjoyable game with its deep world-building, fun gameplay, and great presentation. However, it struggles with some aspects of its presentation and its teaching tools. Although, this game is still in early access and might have changes in the future that fix these problems. Overall, ZERO Sievert is still a very fun time. If you are a fan of the Survival genre of games I recommend giving it a go.

DC's Justice League: Cosmic Chaos is an amusing action-adventure title. The world is in danger and the Justice League must stand up and be counted. However, an all-powerful trickster has other ideas and you must battle this childish fool if you wish to be victorious. Search lairs, kill fishy monsters, and tackle familiar villains in this colourful and interesting DC game.

Wildfrost is a fantastic deck-builder with rogue-like mechanics. What's more, it has a melancholy story, incredible graphics, and stunning audio. On top of this, it is challenging, addictive, and grim. However, the tough action will put some of you off. Yet, I urge you to break through the learning curve as you battle to save humanity from the Wildfrost.

Heidelberg 1693 is a gory 2.5D action adventure title. Furthermore, its old-school appeal, hard-hitting audio, and macabre story are fantastic. Sadly, the controls aren't perfect, and the gameplay can be unfairly tough. However, this shouldn't stop you from "enjoying" this blood-soaked, gruesome affair.

All in all, it feels difficult to recommend Remnant: From the Ashes as a Nintendo Switch title. If you like soulslikes, guns, trees, and grey things: maybe play this on any other console. Chances are, it’s a pretty good game there. But here, it’s not a great experience.

A huge melting pot of different ideas that comes out rather bland. Its nice ideas are undermined by the shallowness of the experience.

Moonrider feels like a nostalgic mish-mash of different ideas, with little care taken as to how each new idea will affect the whole. This game is very fun on a first playthrough, and fairly dull on any subsequent ones. The game is not open enough to appeal to exploratory players who want to find its secrets, and the game is nowhere near tight enough to appeal to old school arcade players or rank chasers. There’s almost certainly a plurality of people who fall into the middle somewhere and they’ll almost definitely love the game, but for me, it’s just a fairly good retro platformer; a game-type which I’m quickly becoming tired of.

Ultimately, Crazy Rocks makes a valiant attempt at evolving the formula but doesn’t quite stick the landing. If you want another game in the same vein as Papers, Please but with a little extra spice and an additional dimension then this is the absolutely game for you.

RunBean Galactic is a fun, challenging, and moreish indie title. Furthermore, its simple concept and basic traps are deceptively understated. Can you avoid every obstacle and survive for as long as possible? Keep on running in this Flappy Bird-like endeavour.

Eggcelerate to the Tropics is an eggcellent time trial racing game. What's more, it has some challenging physics-based mechanics and addictive gameplay. Furthermore, with drip-fed elements and interesting stage design, this will keep you busy and test your skills throughout.

Seeing Lora’s descent into despair and desperation was an interesting story choice since we aren’t playing the usual heroine. Her character has minor changes based on your dialog choices and the ending will change as well so replayability is relatively high for those interested in seeing the other paths play out. I got the winter ending and felt like that was a wonderful way to wrap up such a dreadful story. I clocked in around an hour and a half for my initial playthrough so it shouldn’t take long to see the credits roll for your first playthrough. This is definitely a game to keep an eye out for, especially if you are interested in seeing the story of a not-so-perfect character play out.

While a charming concept made by a small and seemingly earnest team, the gameplay, characters, and levels are all just too bland to warrant a better score. If anything can be said in this game's defence without mentioning it's charm, I guess it would be that at least it's only $15.

If you’re into RTS games, I’d definitely consider this but maybe not at the expense of more well-established titans of the genre.

King of the Arcade is a fun 80s-inspired romp. With colourful characters, interesting games, and an underdog story, this will make you laugh throughout. I adored the unique take on classic arcade titles and the short but sweet plot. My only complaint is that it isn't long enough. Consequently, I hope the developers add more content.

Sifu is boundlessly entertaining, immensely satisfying, and unrelentingly fresh. Even over a year after its initial release, I was still excited to jump back in, and I'm still excited to go back.

While Terraformers has its faults like the unclear tutorials that don’t explain the mechanics of the game very well, it is overall still a very fun game. This is thanks to the fantastic presentation, the many unlockable options and difficulty options leading to a very replayable game, and the challenging yet enjoyable gameplay. I strongly recommend giving this game a go. While it has a slow start, I encourage you to push through its grueling start to find a fantastic game with a lot of depth and an emotional soundtrack.

If you are looking for a beat-em-up where you can chase big combos and high scores, then buy Streets of Rage 4. If you are looking for a game with a coin-guzzling arcade feel that you can play with a few friends, then buy the TMNT collection or Shredder's Revenge. If you are looking for a charming game with a wonderful art-style and customization, then buy either River City Girls game. And if you love rap, don't particularly care for combos or the beat-em-up formula in general, but want the experience of playing as your favourite rapper, then buy Def Jam Fight For NY.

Astronite is a cruel and tough Metroidvania experience. What's more, its 1bit graphics and synth music ensure it has an old-school appeal. However, its lack of hand-holding and its unfairly brutal ways will put many players off.

Caverns of Mars: Recharged is an excellent polished version of this addictive 80s title. With incredible aesthetics and fun gameplay, this is an excellent casual experience. However, veteran gamers will wish that the challenges were tougher. Furthermore, it doesn't add as much as other from the Recharged series.

A relaxing fishing voyage into the deep blue laced with some sinister Lovecraftian horror. A delightful, well-rounded experience that hooked me in.

Trophy has been fun to play and try to beat even with a few issues I came upon. I would love to see a few changes occur, but the game is totally relatable to a classic 8-bit style game, transporting me back to the 1980s. I honestly can say that how the game is designed, may feel slightly like a beta game, but I guess that can totally add to the challenge effect and why it’s considered homebrewed. So there are indeed plenty of obstacles that will keep the player trying to figure out how to move forward.

Returnal is an interesting game and for those who want a roguelike that keeps the story hidden behind a challenging gameplay loop, this is a wonderful place to start. Astropos is full of mystery and danger but with enough runs, any player has the ability to master the tight combat offered up here.

Big Ambitions is a business sim on a level I've not seen before. Incredibly immersive with only minor annoyances make this a big ambition that paid off. [Early Access Score = 80]

Steel Defier is an excellent action survival title. However, this indie game is far too short for my liking. Furthermore, a lack of depth holds it back from fulfilling its true potential. Hopefully, the developers can create some DLC to pad out the contents and improve the finished product. Other than these shortcomings, the action is fast-paced, gruesome, and cruel. Even though it is short, it is definitely worth your time and money.

Performance issues aside, Beasts doesn’t go far enough in its creativity and that feels like a huge let-down for something so driven by the pursuit of the unknown.

Witchcrafty is a cute and adorable Metroidvania-lite game. However, performance issues and poor controls let it down. If you can overlook the shortcomings, you'll wade through a plethora of challenging stages and brutal mechanics. As such, this isn't a game for the faint of heart.

Transport Fever 2 - Console Edition is a great simulation title. What's more, it is a fantastic port from PC and has a brilliant freeplay mode. Build depots and terminals for your vehicles to transport goods and people across each map. Moreover, you must manage your finances and adjust your plan as each city thrives.

An entertaining amuse-bouche, with a good sense of humour and some decent horror-themed gunplay. A nice little teaser for the main event.

From the charming visuals to the fun and addicting gameplay, Plantera 2 is one of the best idle games I have played. The only negative I can think of is that it hurt my hand a tiny bit when I was mashing click on a Loot Hero. Outside of that very minor problem, this game is fantastic. I loved every second of this charming expierence.

This game is quite a nice idea, but it could require a bit more work. I liked the concept, and love the color graphics and cuteness factor, but the few issues that came up so often are hard to pass and forget about. I think I was half the time frustrated and getting a headache from how much I was going around in circles to select and try to do anything I could in the game. Unless a few things get fixed, this game may not be on my radar anytime soon.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers fails to break into the asymmetrical survival genre. With confusing mechanics and a lack of content, it isn't fulfilling. Furthermore, the action isn't balanced and the online lobbies are dying. Consequently, finding a match is slow and frustrating. It was a shame as I loved the Dragon Ball lore and the loud audio.

Tricky Thief is a colourful top-down puzzle experience. With simple mechanics and a gentle learning curve, it is pretty easy to master. However, the latter stages are much harder as more mechanics are introduced.

An interesting premise let down by wonky execution and by-the-book scares. Treads the same path that stronger games have already carved out.

Peppa Pig: World Adventures is a phenomenal child-friendly title that will impress your youngsters. With fun and safe gameplay, and vivid colours, this is aimed at a younger audience. However, as an adult, it was pretty annoying. Thankfully, though, the simple controls and straightforward mechanics allow your children to tackle this alone.

Overall I had fun with Sanctuary Saga thanks to its great battle system and charming pixel art visuals. However, the lackluster story and the repeat walkthroughs of every area hurt the experience for me. If there were more enemies to fight, more dungeons to go through, or even more story sequences to play through I feel as though I would have had a better time as is. Fortunately, the developers are continuing to work on this game, even after its launch, but as it is now, this game is simply a decent experience.

Smurf Kart is a perfect family-style game that anyone can play. It’s amusing and easy, just what I expect from the Smurfs. The karts are all unique and have their own character that rides them, allowing the player a choice between 12 to decide upon. There is no wait to unlock a character, you get to enjoy all of them right away, which I love. Plus, even for an easy game, it could use some more classic Smurf sound effects from the characters and add a few new fun tracks or rewards to be achieved. Otherwise, it’s not a bad game, and maybe a bit easy for everyone to win a race for the first time.
