    Bringing back the once seemingly moribund RTS in spectacular style, Company of Heroes 3 is intense, tactical, authentic, meaty and innovative - but not for the faint-hearted or those seeking instant gratification.

    The limited number of units available and the exciting battles once again keep me glued to the screen. You never know what awaits around the next corner, and whether another counterattack will suddenly roll in, for which I have to prepare at lightning speed ... As much as I like other strategy games, hardly any of them offer as intense and thrilling battles as Company of Heroes 3, with this level of spectacle and production value.

    Aware of its past yet looking towards the future, Company of Heroes 3 offers something for everyone. The dynamic map of Italy is a great experience, although it's slightly marred by passive AI, abilities that don't always work, small UI issues, and a gameplay loop that doesn't encourage the use of all available tools...Apart from the two campaigns, Company of Heroes 3 presents more options than ever before with its four factions, including the Deutsches Afrikakorps, which is an outstanding addition to the roster. Although it still relies on past strategies, the modifications to tactical battles and the addition of new units demonstrate that almost two decades after its inception, the formula that helped Relic Entertainment become a household name in the strategy genre still holds up.

    The best instalment of the series, that much is without question. There could be more changes, sure, and the graphics feel dated. But the new turn-based strategic map is a great addition which transforms the traditional singleplayer campaign into a massive operation for many an evening.

An ambitious RTS that is not satisfied with following the line established by its predecessors and that arrives loaded with substantial novelties. A treat for fans of the genre and a must for fans of the saga.

    Very good RTS but graphics could have been a notch above. performs well. I would have preferred the absence of a turn based TW like campaign system.

    Finally! RTS junkie here been playing since the beginning of time it seems. COH3 gameplay is great, much like COH2 with some added featuresFinally!     However, it does seem rushed! Keep in mind COH3 uses Relics Essence engine, which is what other games such as Age Of Empires 4 uses. If you're coming from AOE4 into COH3 you will be severly dissapointed. Its not polished at all. Missing a TON of features and just basic things.

    If you're a modder you'll be equally dissapointed, many of the editor features you take for granted from AOE4 are not available.

    the first patch will hopefully address a LOT of the bugs as with any new game these days, day 1 releases are usually crap.

    But anyways back to the gameplay and most important part. Its great. COH3 is super fun. I wish the maps were better they suck, there are no choke points in any of them it seems. so basically open playing field.    … Expand
