Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 6 is a highly polished, excellent entry to the Monster Energy Supercross series that has me excited to keep coming back for more races. The updates to the game’s physics especially had me feeling like I was more in control of my riding experience than ever before. Unfortunately, the Supercross Academy contributed very little to this improved experience and the new Rhythm Attack mode left something to be desired as well.

Monster Energy Supercross 6 brings us all the adrenaline of this magnificent sport. New game modes and revamped physics make this game a must for supercross fans.

The judgment on SX6 does not differ much from that of the previous episode: Milestone continued on the path traced last year, focusing on an even more accessible and customizable driving model to satisfy a wider audience. In terms of content there is not much to complain about: the spectacular "Rhythm Attack" has been added, cross-play has been implemented in multiplayer and some tweaks have been given to the other game modes. A refinement work that involved a bit of the entire Milestone simulation, in particular the AI and the physics engine. Despite the addition of a mentor like Jeremy McGrath, Career fails to be at the level of other motor productions. The same goes for the technical sector which still does not excite. And it's a pity: with graphics fully in step with the times and a Career mode of much greater depth, Milestone's racing would have been a little gem.

Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 6 is the best installment of the series, a product for old fans and rookies. The signs of aging, however, on the graphics engine and an impetuous AI still remain evident flaws which unfortunately lead to a substantial problem in the general rendering of the experience.

I find myself coming to the same conclusion as last year’s entry, hence basically the same score; if you have the previous year’s game, there’s really not much here to warrant a repurchase. Sure the diehard fans of the sport will enjoy all the 2022 rider and arena updates, but if online play doesn’t interest you, there’s a lot of repetitiveness and really not all that much new this year to excite everyone else.
