Darkest Dungeon II is a dark turn-based roguelite game characterized by its extreme difficulty, grotesque aesthetics and cruel but enjoyable battles. If you are someone who always loved a great challenge, enjoyed that retro comic style in the 80s or simply have been a soul-like fan, DDII is indubiously going to satisfy your appetite.

Compared with how much I loved the past two South Park games, I am deeply disappointed with Snow Day. Mindless, boring and repetitive, this game could have really been a cool and different entry into the franchise. Instead, the art style, combat and story leave the player wanting so much more. Playing in co-op is fun for a time and while the music can be excellent, the game just makes me long for another RPG style South Park game. Mmkay.

To conclude my time with Monsters Domain I’m honestly just upset. I feel like every mechanic in this game is a promise of something great. Every minute of gameplay is like a sales pitch that gets you more and more excited about the final product and what you will get if you just stick around and then as soon as you go to grab this GOTY idea, it just walks away. If this was early access I would maybe suggest waiting and wish listing the game for later but since it’s the full release, I can only suggest giving it your time if it comes in a bundle you were going to buy anyway.

My time spent with holy Stick was not one that I can say I enjoyed due to the high focus on multiplayer and while you can match up with bots, there is no real challenge except learning how to actually play the game. The concept of hand-drawn maps in the spaces of a notebook is really interesting but unfortunately any good will this game earns is only dampened by a bad experience moments later.

Highwater is an incredible adventure title that doesn't break the mould. However, the chilling parody to our future existence will rock you to the core. Furthermore, the cruel social divide and the post-apocalyptic world are horrific. As such, this is a dark and tough-to-swallow title.

For the price of a movie ticket, and with a runtime similar to a lot of movies, Abtos Covert is an excellent choice for someone looking for a couple of scares. If you’re a fan of horror in general and haven’t given surveillance games a shot, this is also a great place to start. It is simple and does not overstay its welcome.

Alone in the Dark builds its atmosphere competently but continually fails to pay it off. Okay puzzles and world design are drowned by flawed combat and dull writing.

In conclusion, the game is a mixed foundation, but it does do its simple job well enough. It did well enough to get 2 more sequels, for some reason. Did this game deserve to get 2 sequels? Maybe. I did at least have fun with the game while I played it.

Yes, it may feel a tad bit slow at times but with a little push, any true appreacter of games, will easily spend hours in this wonderful little game. It is quite evident from the get go that a lot of effort went in. As the game proceeds, this feeling only becomes better and the loop more enticing.

Torn Away is a harrowing and chilling visual novel experience. Moreover, its beautiful writing and touching plot is hard to put down. However, it is this emotion-fueled experience that makes it mentally draining and tough to complete in one sitting.

Sleek visuals, simple yet intriguing narrative and an absolutely incredible soundtrack; OXTO really is a force to behold in this genre. Superb sound design and variety of weapons and abilities, coupled with the focus mechanic help create varying gameplay styles to test and innovate. It’s only the erratic AI and some choices relating to the game’s upgrades that can make OXTO lose its momentum in the long term replay ability aspect. But OXTO is a game I would highly recommend, a real fun blast.

I do recommend this game, it’s exciting, new and a breath of fresh air for gamers who want character focused storytelling and gameplay. I give this game a 9/10 the only drawbacks are the scattered and confusing ending.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance remains an incredibly deep and interesting game, dogged by the twin bugbears of combat and saving. Unfortunately, the Switch isn't really the right home for it.

Minishoot' Adventures is a pleasant romp through a good-looking land. Equal parts Zelda and Bullet Hell, with fantastic movement and cracking boss fights. I've a few minor complaints, but nothing that gets in the way of the fun.

It might be a welcoming game for the players who enjoys the genre. Although, I personally find it enjoyable on witnessing the tower’s progress of development growth. However, my personal gameplay experience doesn’t really hook me up and wants me to keep going more and more. The game functions pretty well, I’m able to enjoy the game without any technical issue.

Necrosmith 2 combines roguelike and tower defense elements to deliver a fun necromancer simulator. The game involves micromanagement of your resources, minions, and enemies. It is a nice RTS spin on the roguelike genre that is starting to feel crowded. However, there are drawbacks, such as some stagnant moments in the run where you are waiting for more resources or enemies to appear. Building different body combos to create the best minions to fight off enemies is fun, but it can be annoying when you’re close to having a good minion but are one part off. Despite that, finding a new secret recipe or tower upgrade made up for the waiting games I had to do. For those looking for a fun tower defense game or a roguelike, especially one that is good for Steam Deck, Necrosmith 2 is up your alley.

I think Tales of Mathasia is a decent math game that is educational, but isn’t as fun as I hoped it’d be. It does a good job of developing something simple and fun for young children, but provides nothing for anyone outside of the demographic. I give it a 6.5/10. Some issues heavily outweigh some of the positives; but at the end of the day it still has enough positives to be fun!

Overall, for a very low price, this game provides a lot of content which is very easy to pick up and fun to get on with and I look forward to what the developers at Nerial do next.

PopSlinger is an old-school-inspired title that is tough as hell. The brutal mechanics will test your patience and your skills. Additionally, the random nature of each monster spawn will drive you insane. However, the excellent 80s music and the random storyline offer a glint of hope.

Overall, The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered is a competent remaster of a game that is polished in some respects and severely lacking in others. Outside of its original context on the 3DS, it’s hard to recommend this when there are some many wonderful JRPGs, new and old, that can be enjoyed on modern systems. While there may be some willing to overlook the phoned-in story, I sadly couldn’t. For me, this is one game whose legacy is best left in the past.

Kingdoms and Castles! is a fantastic indie building sim and at a great price. Great yet simple visuals and a beautiful musical score help you really feel part of the medieval era. Lack of depth can hurt long term replay ability but it is a fantastic game – worth checking out if you love a building sim!

If you’re looking for a rich and relaxing fishing sim experience, then there are plenty out there, but this isn’t it. Whether it’s the shop that looks like a micro-transaction hellscape (but isn’t), the confusing control scheme, or the general lack of direction, I can’t wrap my head around the choices that were made with this project. This unfortunately leads me to think it was simply a cheap soulless port, made to slurp up a few extra bucks before sinking back to the bottom of the riverbed. Yet apparently, this is a common occurrence for the folks over at Ultimate Games, so perhaps I shouldn’t be so surprised. Save yourself time and money, and support the indie devs out there who put their heart and soul into their projects, and for a lower price too! Keep on casting that line folks, there are plenty more fish in the sea.

Ultimately, the turn based strategy game, Clash 2 lacks the essential elements that make a game enjoyable. With its tedious gameplay, uninspired storytelling, and lack of innovation, it’s difficult to find redeeming qualities in this title. I think Telmari is a game that could be amazing on mobile, it’s simple style and aesthetic seem perfect for small screens. The controls are also simple if your worried about them being confusing or difficult to work with.

In my humble opinion, The Thaumaturge is a AAA Open World wanna-be game but with limitations. In other words, a gem that is shaped but lack of fine edges. The story and background settings are amazing. Yet, from the world structure to minor details. The limitation of the game has many, such as loading section in between of traveling, the map for exploration isn’t that big enough, the animation lack of details, etc. Despite of all the mentioned, the game still has something to offer. The story campaign, the thaumaturgy and detective investigation puzzles. The Thaumaturge still worth to play if you love any gameplay elements I just mentioned.

In closing, Silent Hope is a excellent, Etrian Odyssey-styled dungeon crawler with a great story, lots of things to do at base camp, and randomly-generated dungeon layouts. That being said, the music was a bit forgettable, and only the title theme and the first dungeon theme stuck out to me on a first listen to. Also, there can sometimes be a bit too much to do in the base camp at one time, which leads to a sense of feeling overwhelmed. Despite these 3 setbacks, the rest of the game definitely does way more than enough to make up for those shortcomings. I definitely recommend this game if you haven’t played it already.

If you’re looking to re-live the experience of single-player campaigns or galactic conquest, this collection might be worth picking up. For those looking for an online Star Wars shooter experience, this is not the remaster you are looking for. While I can only hope that patches will fix this game’s problems, I don’t know if they will help it recover from the rocky launch. I would avoid this game until there are massive improvements.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is a daft and testing rogue-like adventure title. Moreover, it is filled with crazy moments and an army of insane vegetables. Accordingly, you will laugh and smile as you steal every penny from the bank.

Death Trick Double Blind may not blindside a veteran visual novelist, but it remains a very charming experience that will keep you intrigued by its likable characters, a solid action system and an intriguingly high stakes ruse. The use of the AP system coupled with giving you the agency to inquire with any information you choose truly evokes the feeling of Sherlock Holmes when the puzzle pieces you chose match. The system isn’t perfect, but when you unravel the mystery of the plot you will feel satisfied that you were able to connect the dots. Even deeper satisfaction when you get to see certain characters’ lore after the fact. I highly recommend giving Death Trick Double Blind a play through if you have a craving to solve a murder mystery.

The story is ordinary and acceptable and strong in some final parts. The gameplay is extremely smooth, varied and fun, the camera movement is a bit difficult and the loadings are annoying. Great level design makes the game never repetitive. The visuals are beautiful and the art is charming, but it doesn’t run at 4k60fps. The soundtracks are very catchy.

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is a touching and nostalgia-infused musical adventure title. Moreover, it remains faithful to the 90s cartoon and the books. As such, if you love the franchise, you will adore everything you see.

Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator is a fun and interesting simulation title. With plenty to see and some enjoyable tasks to complete, this will keep you busy. However, a lack of special events and activities ensures that this is repetitive. Furthermore, I couldn't make the radio work and that was disappointing.

A lot has changed in the roguelike genre since Shiren’s last adventure. Many of those evolutions in the genre make playing this game feel a little dated. I wish there were more to do in the hub world. I wish I could build my character in the dungeons rather than rely on items to survive. Despite not having those things, learning how the game works is still fun. For those looking for a challenging roguelike, Shiren The Wanderer offers a dungeon crawler that makes players think about how they move. While there is strategic depth, its clunky movement, unengaging combat, and generic fantasy plot keep this game from being a great roguelike.

Star Wars: Dark Forces is undoubtedly a classic. A remaster was a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. There is still room for improvement, the menus and maps could have been perfected. Overall, it is a good update to a game that is close to my heart and that recommend to all fans of the franchise and the genre.

Skull And Bones pitches itself as an exciting MMO pirate adventure. Unfortunately, it's not very adventurous or exciting, and the MMO elements just get in the way. The 'pirate' bit I'll grant it though.

Simple though it is, Cricket Through the Ages won me over with its stupendously silly gameplay and its commitment to telling a daft, nonsensical story about humanity’s obsession with throwing balls and whacking each other with big sticks. You’re not likely to spend a long time playing it—it took me about two hours to complete all eight game modes—but it is fun while it lasts. I’d recommend grabbing a buddy and playing a two player game, as walloping a friend over the head with a cricket bat never gets old.

Magic Chaos is a 4 players party bullet hell PC game, developed by Super Starmine and published by Phoenixx Inc. The game focus on PVP and nurturing your magical idol fighter to compete with other magical idol fighters. So, it's time to choose your favorite idol and conquer the battlefield.

While the story felt cliche at some moments, there were some bright spots in the 20 hours I spent with the game. While Suspensive Acts was my favorite part of the game, playing it sometimes felt frustrating because of the RNG nature. Fans of the franchise might be happy to see the original characters return. For fans of visual novels, there are better options for anyone looking for a horror visual novel game.

I do not recommend this game at all.

Bore Blasters is an amazing 8bits ship exploring game. The game concept is simple to grasp. The gameplay is amazing and always attracts you to explore more. Although the game lacks a bit some feature and the environment's procedural generation might need a tweak or two. It still fit to be a game that offers something for players after a busy workday.

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is a cruel and challenging souls-like experience. However, it is more forgiving than its peers. As such, this could be a great place to start for newbies. Alongside this, it is as good alone as it is with other gamers.

WRATH: Aeon of Ruin channels the original Quake and fills its levels with interesting guns and gross enemies. Combat feels great - especially the shotgun - and there's a lot of content to sink your teeth into, though it feels a little formulaic by the end. The limited save system is quite the misstep, but doesn't detract from the fun too much.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Staring Lara Croft is a fantastic trip down memory lane. Furthermore, the arenas, puzzles, and gameplay are as good today as they ever were. However, the controls are somewhat problematic and that was a shame. Yet, these issues are minor and will not undermine your enjoyment of a dated but fascinating adventure title.

Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions is a touching and interesting tactical title. Moreover, I loved how it tackled issues of anxiety and separation. Additionally, the combat mechanics and varied combos ensure that each stage is different.

The Inquisitor is a dark and grim adventure title. Moreover, it seamlessly blends 2 unique realms. As such, it is an enjoyable investigatory game that combines puzzles, exploration, and combat. Yet, the latter of those elements is its Achilles Heel.

Ontotis is a psychological horror title that fails to impress. The cliched story and monotone protagonist fail to set the world alight. Additionally, the well-trodden mechanics are uninspiring and disappointing.

Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator is a heart-warming and touching game. Furthermore, its attention to detail is fascinating. However, the small gaming world may disappoint some gamers. I loved the characters, the audio, and the straightforward mechanics. As such, this slow-paced title should be enjoyed between fast-paced triple-A titles.

Overall, My time spent with Eugène on his journey was one that I found mostly enjoyable, even if I did find myself frustrated with a good portion of the adventure. I would spend countless minutes re-reading dialogue and documents in an attempt to find something that might have been missed and often would end up scratching my head at some of the solutions. While this might not be as strong as something like the Professor Layton series, I definitely would love to see something like this again from this team.

Achilles: Legends Untold is an isometric action-RPG that has tough combat, good progression and a great plot. Let down slightly by over-promising, bad voice acting and underused mechanics, it’s still one worth checking out.

There was always a risk in taking a beloved cult classic movie and making a tie-in game. Thankfully, Robocop: Rogue City delivers on the action, the gameplay, the visuals and more. It’s a nostalgic trip back to a favourite franchise to listen to that synth music and kill plenty of bad guys in true 80s action style.

HELLDIVERS 2 is a fast, fun and funny way to obliterate hordes of bugs. The shooting feels excellent, enemies are varied and challenging, and the simple core loop allows for both tension and hilarity.

Mines and Magic is a tower defence title with a dated aesthetic. Moreover, it uses a remarkably simply gameplay loop to keep you focused. However, it lacks depth and the action isn't well balanced. As such, it requires some polish to reach its potential.

The Shore is a Lovecraftian adventure that leaves a lot to be desired. The weird combination of genres and the lacklustre mechanics are disappointing. Furthermore, the story is lacking and this was unfortunate. However, it looks fantastic and this is where it excels.

The Invincible is a slow-paced, narrative driven sci-fi adventure game based on a novel of the same name. Developed by Starward Industries and published by 11 Bit Studios. You’ll be drawn into the stunning alien world and feel nostalgic for those old sci-fi movies when you see the retro-futuristic aesthetic.

Airhead is a captivating Metroidvania experience. Furthermore, it has some testing but enjoyable puzzles. Yet, it is its user-friendly approach that makes it stand out from its peers. As such, this is a great indie title that is well-balanced and enjoyable to play.

GENIE Reprise is a stunning, slow-paced walking simulation title. Moreover, it has a fantastic story and each chapter is unique and surreal. Accordingly, it is a wonderfully captivating, fantasy tale. Sadly, though, it has no replay value and this was unfortunate.

Agatha Christie - Murder on the Orient Express is a fantastic whodunnit murder mystery. You must use your investigatory skills and your mind map to find the evidence and piece together the clues. With puzzles and plenty of colourful characters, this will keep you busy.

Persona 3 Reload is a remake that proves that small changes add up. This genre-defining JRPG will impress the toughest of critics. Furthermore, it looks amazing and has a story to match. Accordingly, this isn't a game to miss!

Asterix and Obelix Slap Them All! 2 is a spectacular-looking side-scrolling beat 'em up. However, this doesn't overcome the shortcomings. Sadly, the repetitive gameplay and lack of difficulty will annoy many gamers. Furthermore, it doesn't address the problems of its predecessor and this was unfortunate.

Tekken 8 is a giant leap forward for this incredible franchise. The deep and interesting story is accompanied by awesome multiplayer action. Moreover, the introduction of new mechanics will impress veteran gamers. The only shortcoming is that minor players feel an afterthought in the plot.

Decent enemy design can't make up for unsatisfying guns, claustrophobic level design and bizarre pacing. Bloodhound looks back to the past so much that it trips over its own feet.

Forest Grove is a detective walking simulation title. Moreover, it has an array of puzzles to solve and plenty of clues to uncover. However, it is far too easy and this prevents it from excelling. Additionally, it isn't long enough and this will annoy veteran gamers.

Re.Surs is an old-school side-scrolling shooter. Moreover, it uses a linear approach and has a deep and lore-rich story. However, it doesn't break the mould and this may disappoint.

Speed Crew is a fun and challenging solo or multiplayer simulation title. The tight level design and array of obstacles will test your patience, friendships, and skills. If you love this genre, you'll adore everything on offer. However, the solo experience is a little unfair and this holds it back.

Persona 5 Tactica is a fantastic twist on a much-loved franchise. However, the gameplay isn't as challenging as I'd have liked. Yet, the excellent visuals, jazzy audio, and spectacular story are captivating.

Double Dragon Gaiden is a fantastic trip down memory lane. The pixelated art style has a wonderful art style. Moreover, the audio is loud and crass. As such, if you adore old-school beat 'em up games, you will fall for its dated charms. My only complaint is the mindless nature of the action is shallow and repetitive.

Hammerwatch 2 is a fun little adventure that has a ton of potential but has a lot of minor issues that may be off putting for some. For those looking for a simple way to pass the time with some friends, this is definetly worth checking out but I hope you have someone ready to keep track of where you need to be going or else you will be pulling up the quest menu every other second. Combat is fun but the scenery can make it hectic to keep track of everything. Overall, Hammerwatch 2 does a wonderful job of being a mediocre adventure with promise.
