The return of CODE VEIN is neither triumphant nor innovative, but it redeems itself somewhat by correcting the fundamental problems that were evident in the first installment. The exploration of a mirror world 100 years apart is interesting, and although cliché, it works to make the story more entertaining and easier to digest. If this is your first time exploring the genre and you like anime, it's a good place to start.

Not a movie, nor a videogame, David Cage's Beyond: Two Souls lacks the defining elements of both kinds of media. On one hand, we have confusing and obnoxious controls; on the other, a plot full of movie clichés and weak characters. While the game demonstrates great art work and conceptualization, its frequent glitches and frame rate issues ruin some of its best moments. At the end, Beyond: Two Souls does not fulfill the promise made by Heavy Rain, and it remains as a flawed, albeit interesting experiment.

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection maintains the original aesthetics of the original games while making some welcome, if somewhat conservative, improvements. Visually and content-wise, this is the best version of both games, although it should be mentioned that the visual improvements are not homogeneous. That said, it is a great recommendation for those who want to revisit these games, those who want to get the most complete edition of them, but above all, those who missed them the first time around.

In the end, it's not about whether Undisputed is a good game or not, because it has solid elements and it holds its own, but it's the only game out there for over a decade and we have no choice. Without a doubt, and despite its flaws, it has foundations that inspire excitement about what could be done in the future and with a larger budget. If you're a boxing fan and you're already fed up with the last game from 2013, you might as well give Undisputed a chance, although keep in mind that it's not a AAA simulator and its edges are rough. Immortals of Aveum introduces some captivating concepts, albeit with a few hiccups in execution. The combat system can be a bit perplexing, and the narrative takes its sweet time to get going without delivering the expected excitement. Additionally, technical performance issues crop up. Nevertheless, our time spent with this single-player game wasn't without its charms. If you are looking for a game that will make you laugh, High On Life is the one. It's a bare bones FPS with acid humor, brilliant characters, and it's filled with absurd situations; it will make you feel inside an Adult Swim series. However, its limited exploration and rhythm, the game is better committed to making you laugh rather than shoot.

Kirby’s Dream Buffet it’s a great spinoff and a good way to celebrate Kirby’s 30th anniversary, but it lacks content and something to make it as addictive as other online multiplayers.

Bloober Team makes an honorable tribute to the mythology of Blair Witch, not only by recreating its atmosphere and distinctive elements, but by building an intense and significant experience.

Battlefront II is a great game that has been tainted by the dark side. Core gameplay is very good, graphics and sound design are superb. But the progression system is tied to microtransactions and is broken.

LEGO Worlds is a game full of wonderful but poorly implemented ideas. Its first hours are marvelous, but as soon as you get to the creative mode things get messy and the creation tools become a chore to use. It’s a game that wants you to love it, the problem is the potential is so wasted that even some LEGO fans may get disappointed. Other than that, the experience overall is entertaining and for its very cheap price, the quality of the content is very good.

One Piece Burning Blood is an enjoyable fighting game that will delight fans of the series from beginning to end. There is a lot of fan service, awesome art and great music, but the mechanics lack polish and identity giving fans the sensation of playing just another anime fighting game.

As is tradition, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 offers polished, addictive multiplayer, the best work from Treyarch since Black Ops II. However, the campaign disappoints by removing the traditional single-player experience, replacing it with uninspired co-op missions and a narrative disconnected from the series legacy. Zombies mode is ambitious but overly complex, prioritizing retention over fun. A split package: brilliant in multiplayer, but soulless in its campaign.

Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers is a solid addition to the still thin game library of the Nintendo Switch. Sadly though, the new game modes feel sluggish and even flat-out mediocre due to the lack of emotion, making gamers wonder if paying $40 bucks for the experience is actually worth it.

Having the opportunity to get this collection for Nintendo Switch, and being able to live out the story of Max and Chloe anytime and anywhere is highly recommended. However, we believe that Square Enix was able to even further polish and improve the game by taking advantage of the unique possibilities that the console has to offer.

The apple didn't fall far from the tree with Detective Pikachu Returns. It's a game that stands out for its charisma, but can be guilty of being too simple, something quite similar to what happened to the Nintendo 3DS entry.

Mario Party 10 fulfills the purpose of entertaining the whole family and brings some interesting innovations to the table thanks to the Game Pad ―like the Bowser Party mode. Having said that, it is very clear to us that at some point, development took a wrong turn and some segments received more attention than others.

Need for Speed certainly looks better than ever, but in the process of recovering its visual identity, it loses some of its more amusing gameplay features such as over the top chases and simple but effective multiplayer structure. Need for Speed is more about neon lights than actual spark.
