In all, The Crew 2 is a big step forward for the series and does its best to right the wrongs of the original. Take the time to learn the ins and outs here and you will have a game that gives you hours and hours of enjoyment.

The Crew 2 is much bigger and much better than its predecessor. It’s not perfect by any means, but it does tick many of the boxes that it desperately needed to, nevertheless. Issues with the lack of map engagement and the T-800 AI to the side, The Crew 2 offers a robust and gorgeously detailed racing experience. It’s accessible, fairly deep, well rounded and thoroughly entertaining, for the most part.

The crew 2 outshines its predecessor with a remarkable arcade-ish nature, that is not necessarily very unique or original. The new cars and variety of events blends to make it a very enjoyable and fun game that will drive us around the entire United States for a while.

The Crew 2 is big, confident, and stuffed with arcade racing action – land, sea, and air. There’s undoubtedly something still charming about a racing game that lets us drive an F1 car across the Golden Gate bridge, fly a Spitfire through the Grand Canyon, and crash a monster truck through Central Park, but its uneven presentation, lack of events that use its best features, and absent PvP is a bummer.

The Crew 2 did a good job on improving the original game. It's a little bit more of everything, and the new road/sea/air feature offers a lot of fun and variety. Some new race categories are much better than others however (the bike races are particularly bad), and the driving controls are still basic compared to what we can expect from a 2018 racing game.

A slightly above average arcade racer with a giant map that unfortunately brings more trouble than benefits. Dynamic switching of vehicles is funny, but it is unable to cover up the unfinished work. [Issue#288]

It’s not bad, but it lacks imagination outside of the singular gimmick that you can change vehicles at any time, and ends up just being rather average.

The opportunity to drive different air, sea and land vehicles in a huge open world map is one of the biggest attractives in this game. The car's design is good, but the racing phisics are very unrealistic, and sometimes the gameplay is very annoying, with countless bugs. Also, the constant need for an internet connection is not necessary for a balanced experience, I experienced several servers crashes. So, it's a good game, but if you are looking for a more realistic arcade experience, go for Forza Horizon, or if what you want is a simulator, go for Gran Turismo. Expand

It's a "racing game" in the broadest sense of the word. Unfortunately Ubisoft is terrible at racing in games. It feels like you're constantly driving on ice Even FWD and 4WD cars handle like RWD. Somewhere i read this game is perfect for casuals. I doubt it. Every time you start racing the AI, the agressive rubberbanding makes sure you never get a nice lead. I was driving a Chevy Z1 and got overtaken by a Fiat Abarth 500. The recommended level was 80, my car level was 228. It's races against the AI that make the game a frustrating luck based game of trial and error. This excessive grinding also goes for unlocking different races like drift or drag. Sometimes you need 50,000 points to unlock new activities, but races only give around 2,000, if you win. You can drive around the map and do delivery missions or get away missions or slalom, but they only reward you with max 250 points. Even drifting and jumping has a max score of 500 points per time, after which you need to wait for the points to be collected. So in short: the racing is bad, the progression is extremely slow due to excessive grind and faster cars doesn't mean easier races. It's like your typical Ubisoft game: a bland open world, with lots to see, but hardly anything fun to do. Jumping from car to boat to plane in an instant is fun at first, but it gets boring fast. If you have a PS4 buy Gran Turismo or Need for Speed instead. If you are on xbox buy any of the Forza Horizons. Expand

So you need to be 'online always' with this game and apparently being signed into xbox live isn't enough -- you also need to be signed into a ubisoft account (why?). You also need to download a special Ubisoft app just to create a Ubisoft account (why?). The ubisoft app itself is terrible and it took 15 mins just to create an account just so I could start the game. The game starts up and the picture is too big for my huge flatscreen and there's no way to adjust the size of the picture (why?) -- as such, I can't see what's on the edges off the screen, the captions, etc. You're in NY or something and you're driving some orange car -- after two turns, the game completely stopped responding to my left/right inputs so I couldn't steer the car. I quit the game and deleted it off my system. Seriously, how did this pass QA? I'm done with 'The Crew' franchise. Expand
