The Crew didn’t do well with the critics back in 2014 and none of my friends were a massive fan of the game either. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t the best racing game I’ve ever experienced before but The Crew did offer a few unique features and these unique features caused me to sink quite a few enjoyable hours into the game. As you can imagine then I’m probably one of the few that was looking forward to The Crew 2, and I’m pleased to say that The Crew 2 is definitely an improvement over the original and I’m hoping that the improvements will bring the people who disliked the game back to the table. The first thing you will notice about the game is how much you can do. I’m not exaggerating when I say that the content available to you will keep you satisfied for months to come and the best thing is that you won’t become bored of the content either because it has variety dotted throughout. To accompany the vast amount of content then you also have an absolutely massive world in which the game takes place in. This world is gigantic and driving around it never gets boring because there’s always something different for you to do. If you like multiple vehicles to drive in this gigantic world then you’ll be pleased to know that there’s something for everybody. Each vehicle feels completely different and by them doing this it gives the game even more replayability because in the end you’re eager to try out each different vehicle. There is also a good progression system put into place that allows you to improve your vehicle quite considerably and on the whole this system has been done well, but I did find it a little grindy when trying to get the best results for the vehicle I had at the time. If you played the first game then you’ll recall that the game suffered with quite a few technichal issues, but you’ll be pleased to know that these technichal issues don’t resurface in The Crew 2, in fact technically the game holds up really well throughout your time with the game and you don’t bump into many problems at all, which is great. Something The Crew did get right last time around though was its presentation and once again they get it spot on here. Visually the game can look absolutely stunning at times and the sound design that accompanies it is equally as good which without a doubt gives the game a nice creative edge to it. At the end of the day The Crew 2 is a game that I’ll be enjoying for ages and I’m pleased to see that they’ve improved certain areas and for that reason I definitely recommend that you give this game a try even if you didn’t like the first game that much. The Crew 2 is a very funny game, but it has it's flows, and there are not few. Also, the constant need for an internet connection is not necessary for a balanced experience, I experienced several servers crashes. So, it's a good game, but if you are looking for a more realistic arcade experience, go for Forza Horizon, or if what you want is a simulator, go for Gran Turismo. Expand

Massive screaming Forza Horizon fanboy here decided to pick this up as I played the first and quite enjoyed it. Crew 2 is also very fun once you tweak/ get used to the handling. Was playing it so long yesterday didn't get a chance to play FH3 at all. It's very rare for that to happen. Xbox one x version graphics are decent, there's lots to do, a wide range of events. The livery editor is a complete rip off of Forza's but not quite so in depth. I'm giving it a 7 because it is a fun, content filled game. The lack of PvP though stops it getting 8 or 9. It's not coming in til December. Crazy. By then FH4 will have been out for 2 months. Will i still be playing or want to return to it then? 99.9% no but it'll do nicely for
    a few weeks.

I put over 30 hours into it and it was a fun game the different kinds of vehicles keep the game fresh and exciting and the ai is tough and a whole lot of bull **** so it makes the game challenging i enjoyed it worth my money

The Crew 2 approaches us with a decent, but kind of repetitive campaign, but i'm sad to report that while this game approaches the gaming market correctly (by being creative unlike it's counterparts) this game seems to lack a proper PvP mode.

In the current gaming world, you need to have the ability to collaborate or compete with friends by more than simply racing. That's why free drive routes were so effective in the first game, as you could set a waypoint for the people in your convoy, and race to a destination with your friends, essentially being able to create custom routes with checkpoints. And this is the main problem. The summit is a let down also and since that's the only thing pretty much keeping the game alive, the game has essentially silenced itself, making it seem like Ubisoft doesn't really care.

Overall, the game is good value for money, but only if on sale. Such a shame really.

Um pouco melhor que o primeiro, mas consegue ser bem ruim do mesmo jeito, é incrível a Ubisoft querer insistir em algo genérico e continuar lançando porcaria.

I think that they had everything to make a good game but sadly they failed. There is a lot of things to do , races, off-road, derby, flying and even boat. But everything is mediocre. I think they tried to add everything that they was thinking of, and put it in the game. It's always better to so less but to it good. The same things applies with the big empty map. A slightly above average arcade racer with a giant map that unfortunately brings more trouble than benefits. Dynamic switching of vehicles is funny, but it is unable to cover up the unfinished work. [Issue#288]

I rarely had fun playing The Crew 2 and usually after 20 minutes tops my mind was drifting away towards anything more enjoyable (e.g. Forza Horizon 3, which is a better game in every way possible). Once again the developers bit more than they could chew, putting quantity above quality. Yes, there are 250 licensed machines and you can switch between them instantly, but there’s no joy in driving or flying them in the huge but empty and boring world. Plus the AI is very poor and the career mode did little to keep me playing. [09/2018, p.52]

An ambitious but watered-down racing experience that rarely satisfies. [Sept 2018, p.92]
