Apr 9, 2026By and large, Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition is a very nice bundle if you loved the original Rayman and would like a nice, concise package of its history. You are effectively only getting mostly slightly remixed versions of the same game, so it depends on whether the price tag is worth it for essentially one platformer. The lack of the original soundtrack is probably the big blemish on the collection, but it's still a solid package for those who want to see where the weird, limbless hero began his adventures.

Feb 23, 2026Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition is the perfect way to play a classic game in all its forms. While the PlayStation version has seen the most love and is the ideal way to play, it's great to have so many different releases represented. There's a good amount of bells and whistles to round out the collection too, and to take a break with when you get frustrated by the overwhelming difficulty.

Jun 24, 2026Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition is a fantastic way to catch up on a pivotal piece of platforming history across various, well-emulated retro platforms, all enhanced by numerous handy quality-of-life features. While these features aren't available in every version (the MS-DOS release, for instance, lacks the rewind function) they make progressing through the supported games significantly easier. The interactive documentary also deserves praise for offering interesting insight into the game's development. The biggest drawbacks remain the absence of the original soundtrack (the replacement is fine though) and the fact that not every edition of the original game is included; Rayman Classic is missing, as is the level editor from Rayman Designer.

Feb 19, 2026Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition shows that the slick gameplay and exquisite art style of Rayman are still as fun and enjoyable today as they were three decades ago. Nevertheless, this edition acts more as a modern port than as a definitive anniversary collection at some points, namely due to the lack of accessibility options for new players, and features an arranged version of the game's soundtrack with no option to listen to the original. All that aside, the bonus content is very welcome, and this game shows the original Rayman remains strong and one of the platforming classics of its time.

Mar 2, 2026With the making of footage in Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition underwhelming, the major selling point of this release is having access to a lot of different versions of one 30-year-old game. When the game is as fun as Rayman is that still doesn’t make for a bad package, particularly with the inclusion of all the extra level packs released in the years after it came out, but it can’t help but feel disappointing compared to many of Digital Eclipse’s stronger efforts.

May 14, 2026Modern additions for those less skilled at platforming minimize the frustration that the level design can cause. Rayman remains playable and easy to appreciate for what he did 30 years ago, but multiple versions of the same thing sound best on paper, as many of them have negligible differences and lack any basis for replayability. The effort put into the collection is minimal.

Mar 6, 2026Providing a mostly faithful recreation, Rayman Legends 30th Anniversary Edition gave me an accurate glimpse into the past, but not an enjoyable experience.
