   This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is truly fun with an open world map. You can do anything fish, discover, defeat skeletons, find out secrets, have a grog with you mates and much more. What I like to do is tall tales to find the shroudbreaker. What the shroudbreaker is, it is a object that creates a force field and can get you to the shores of gold ( a place that is past the boarders of the open world. A there lies the dangerous gold hoarder. The other tales have secrets, captains, danger and much much more… Expand

   Ok so i like to start off by saying this game isnt for everyone but for people who love to role play or love pirate games/stuff this game is uOk so i like to start off by saying this game isnt for everyone but for people who love to role play or love pirate games/stuff this game is u roleplaying as a pirate and do pirate stuff and the magic of the game is the roleplaying part u can be whatever type of pirate u want to be with your friends or random people i will say tho it wont be fun sometimes with random people cause they can ether troll take the game way to seriously but the game is a amazing pirate game u can fight other players themselfs or there ships u can search for treasure go on quest basically stuff pirates i enjoy playing with my friends this game has the rare magic rare was know for back in the days now warning if your going to play alone i think the game will be a 6 or a 5 cause this game was meant to have funny roleplaying as pirates with your friends or random people i think the game is amazing and im glad rare back into making there games with the magic we all know they have now this is a xbox and windows 10 exclusive the reason im saying this is people that review this game are saying it as it a bad thing and people can have there opinions about that but for years we knew it was going to be a exclusive for microsoft systems the exclusive part is a opinion to people i feel like now the game looks amazing it beautiful and it amazing and fun to just sail around in a boat and enjoy watching the sea waves and when a heavy storm comes and u and other players are having a ship battle is fun as hell now like i said before this is a roleplaying game reason im saying this is people have been putting thinks like no progression and repetitive and i guess the repetitive part kinda works but it a pirate roleplaying game so your going to do stuff pirates do and some stuff are going to be the same cause it a roleplaying game u try to act as a pirate and be the pirate u want to be the one quest we went to a island to find treasure and we were attack by a undead army of skeletons and we had to protect my one friend while getting back to are boat or we had to dive underwater to find a sunken ship with a shark swiming around it and we had to wait till it was gone so we can swim back to are ship safely and when your not doing quest u and your friends can goof off and drink and dance to pirate jigs now warning there will be trolls in this game but in anygames now adays that has MP there going to be trolls so that not really a bad thing sense gamers should know there going to be trolls in games now adays to finish this off i have to say i loved this game alot it does the stuff the rare told us at E3 and it does it right im so happy rare back and i love this game alot the game isnt for everyone like i said at the start but i hope this review helps u choose if u want to get it or not or even rent it to try it out.… Expand

   only 2 ships in a game based on sailing ships. only 3 mission types and they're all very similar: find treasure on a specific island andonly 2 ships in a game based on sailing ships. only 3 mission types and they're all very similar: find treasure on a specific island and return it, find specific types of pig or chicken on any island and return them, or find skeleton pirate leader on specific island and kill him, then return his skull. pvp is only fun for griefers as there is no reward for doing it. there is no progression of any kind, only cosmetic "upgrades." very frustrating to play solo: if you're steering, you can't do anything else on your ship like changing speed or checking the map. if you let go of the steering wheel to do those things, the ship goes off course.… Expand

Basically 3 kinds of repeatable missions you grind for gold and reputation that can only be spent on a VERY modest selection of cosmetic items, and a kraken that is nothing but tentacles you shoot at until it dies, at which point you receive an achievement and NOTHING else. For $60 this game is a joke.I just described 95% of content in the game. It's not even an exaggeration, there is NOTHING here.
   
   PvP is very rare and if you do see another ship they can evade you incredibly easily and it is almost never rewarding to fight unless you somehow get on the enemy ship and steal their chests and bring it back to your own ship before destroying theirs (which is highly impractical).… Expand

   No content at all, boring empty game with nothing more than selling chests (you are a pirate and you can't even open chests). Not worth it's price.
