Nov 15, 2023Naruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is undoubtedly the most complete and extensive game of the worldwide popular anime hit to date. Although there are no major innovations, fans and, of course, all those who want to become fans can pick it up without hesitation thanks to the large roster, two story campaigns and beginner-friendly action gameplay.

Nov 15, 2023Even with the History mode being a bit of a letdown, Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections still manages to be one of the best in the series thanks to its excellent Special Story mode and numerous improvements to the fighting mechanics. There’s no better way to celebrate Naruto’s 20th anniversary, and I can only hope that Ultimate Ninja Storm has more to show us in the future as Boruto begins telling its biggest story yet.

Of course, those who do not miss the news about the blonde ninja will obviously buy it without even thinking twice.

Nov 17, 2023Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is the best way to experience the story of Naruto, both for long-time fans as well as beginners. Naruto's story mode offers a host of content in itself, and the versus mode can be plenty of fun if you have friends that like the series. Just don’t expect much in the way of actual gameplay depth.

Nov 21, 2023As an anime fan who hasn’t watched Naruto in almost a decade and has never seen beyond one arc of Boruto, this game made me excited for the franchise in a way I honestly hadn’t felt in a long time. But my view of Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections as my own reentry is a subjective point that the game’s mechanics don’t necessarily do enough to overtake the nostalgia and stand on its own.

Nov 15, 2023As far as celebratory packages go, Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections gets the job done, but not much more than that. The story implementation is lacking, with awful recapping of the original content, while the rest of the game is simply more Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm. If you’re a diehard fan of Naruto and the Ultimate Ninja Storm games, then what’s here will likely engage you, but there’s little reason to return to these if you’ve played through them before.

Dec 19, 2023A facile re-release of an older game in a new look with some new characters. The performance is also pleasant, but the rest is all mediocre. The new story mode is boring, the online functionality sucks and the English dubbing is a drama. The game also lacks any real noteworthy additions. A disappointment.
