Indivisible is a platform game and a no-fuss RPG. Without much depth either, a defect without a doubt for those who hoped to tackle a RGP borrowing a certain complexity. For others, it remains a very nice game, because of its beautiful Japanese cartoon attire, these characters, if they are very charismatic, at least always cute and fun, and its overall dynamism.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, the first real original duo of the main series on Switch, are not to Pokémon what Breath of the Wild is to The Legend of Zelda, namely a bold upheaval of fundamentals to establish a formula reinvented for coming years. With these new games Pokémon, Game Freak proceeds as usual in the evolution of the series, small touches, all the more welcome this time they seem absolutely necessary today, like the boxes PC accessible everywhere. Without major disruption but with significant improvements, in terms of game comfort mainly, and while some will probably deplore the reduced number of Pokémon referenced base in the Pokédex Galar, new region that enjoys a care of atmosphere and staging undeniable, Pokémon remains faithful to its formula still winning for over twenty years, at the risk of missing the evolutionary step offered and hoped for by its convergence with the so popular Nintendo Switch. Onrush is a fast, fun and entertaining game. By scraping a little at its surface, we discover that it is more subtle than it seems and therefore has more depth than one might think. The range of action is wide enough for everyone to find his account. But there are some bugs that are tough to forgive, even if they are not very serious. Let's hope that future patches will both correct them and evolve the game so that we can continue to ride for a long while.

Windjammers is identical to the game released 23 years ago, with one difference: it contains an online mode that gives it a new life. We would have liked a better network code and more flexibility in defining the match options, but for the rest everything is there. It's fast, nervous and extremely demanding in terms of reflexes. Those who have known it at the time will find back their sensations after only a few minutes of play. As for the solo mode, however, this version is so faithful to the original that it maintains its main flaw: except a short competition and a versus mode, there's nothing else.

True to the series' heritage, Kirby Star Allies asserts its apparent simplicity through a candid, somehow heartbreaking scenario, a vibrant artistic direction, and a sweet gameplay fundamentally built for conviviality, with enemies that can also become skillful buddies once befriended. This amicable approach creates sympathetic cooperative operations and wonderful sequences of grouped transformations, but it results in a constrained, hence linear level design. While the new powers reveal interesting and potentially overpowerful teamwork synergies, those are only exploited into the rather short additional modes. More generosity, imagination and even boldness were expected from this moving, then ultimately nostalgic adventure.

ANNO 1800 succeeds in making itself playable and enjoyable on home consoles. It's rather beautiful, and the gameplay with the controller is successful, although it will take a little time to get used to it. On the other hand, if the game is nice to the eye, it has a few technical glitches that will make the less patient players complain. Some of the game's loading times are quite long, textures sometimes have trouble displaying when zooming in and the framerate seems to be slowed down quite often. It's also a shame that the game is not as well supplied as its PC version. It lacks quite a bit of content. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is a treat for fans of what might be called the “cosy-RPG”. Despite a pleasant but not memorable adventure, it offers great freedom of gameplay. It's up to you to modulate your story by taking greater advantage of the narrative or the various jobs available to you. What's more, it breaks with the usual routine of games in this genre, which give you everything at your fingertips almost immediately. Thanks to the job system, one activity can lead to another, and so on, making for a truly dynamic immersion with a dose of RP that should please many. It lacks that little something in its visual identity to make it totally stand out from its competitors. Nevertheless, it remains one of the most accomplished representatives of the genre in recent years.

Dune Awakening isn't a typical survival game. Where most games in the genre focus only on surviving or escaping, Funcom goes further. The game offers deep immersion in a legendary universe, a satisfying power curve, a team-based endgame, and PvP with real strategic potential. But this ambition comes with flaws. The experience is still rough in places. The UI is clunky, the AI is weak, and combat lacks fluidity. Some systems shine while others need polish. Dune Awakening won’t suit everyone. Its slow start and demanding design might turn off some players. But those who embrace its rhythm will find a tough, generous sandbox. And like Conan Exiles, it's a game meant to grow over time.

Metal Gear Solid Delta is an excellent remake that will appeal to both longtime fans and new players alike. Its visual overhaul and modernized gameplay make it a huge hit and relaunch the franchise in a positive direction, much like Silent Hill 2 Remake did. Unlike the latter, however, there is no risk-taking here. Metal Gear Solid Delta is a 1:1 remake peppered with fan service. While it allows players to discover this masterpiece, it adds nothing new. The game retains all its flavor, quality, and flaws, which mainly concern its gameplay inaccuracies and AI weaknesses from another era. In an effort not to offend anyone by offering a game that takes no risks, Konami sometimes creates a strange sense of dissonance between nostalgia and modernity. This results in gameplay issues that didn't exist at the time, as well as mechanics that no longer seem as coherent as they once did. With a thrilling scenario that keeps the player spellbound until the epic ending, State of Mind, however, fails to captivate the player in the gameplay department, at least during the first half of the game. It remains a satisfying experience, with a real reflection on the excesses of a technology-based society.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a nice spinoff from the main Borderlands Series. While the class system is pretty enjoyable, most of the game is still based off classic Borderlands Title, and as such, there isn't much new stuff to feat on. The overall game is still pretty decent with lots to do, and that lovely sense of humor.

To conclude their futuristic series, Ratchet & Clank focuses on gravity, in both senses of the word. It is applied not only to the tone through a desolate world, but also to the gameplay mechanics. Although such experiments give more freedom to explore the environment and develop new puzzles, they are too limited and, therefore, overshadowed by the unbridled evolution of the arsenal. This relentless quest for power takes the main role into the Nexus, making up for the briefness of the adventure. Let's hope that the next generation will help Insomniac Games to really move forward with this proven, yet aging formula.

Days Gone on PC offers a visually pleasing experience and solid in its entirety, thus erasing the few technical mistakes of the PS4 version. It is pleasant to follow the tribulations of Deacon St John for several hours, despite some black spots like the AI, the repetitiveness of the missions and the bestiary which is sorely lacking in variety. However, this does not prevent Bend Studio from offering a technically successful title.

That's what we can call a pretty good start for the last season with plenty of promises based on what a grown Clementine is now for Alvin Junior. A few things have changed and we hope what's coming next will be good enough so that we can leave one of the best video game characters without any regrets.

Meet Your Maker is a unique multiplayer game that mixes dungeon crawler, tower defense and community creation in a very interesting way. The recipe is addictive, and you'll be able to come back to it from time to time while pecking away. The title also has a great potential to evolve, especially when you know the studio Behaviour, but as it is, you will unfortunately have the feeling that you have done the trick in a few dozen hours. All the more so as its artistic direction, deliberately sad (post-apo obliges), will not have any argument to impress you. An amusing game then, that you should keep in the corner of your eye if you don't give in to temptation right away.

Persona 5 Strikers calls back the beloved heroes of the original RPG in a sympathetic but sometimes rough beat'em all. Darkwood is really not for everyone's hands. Unforgiving and far from being linear, it's above all aimed to gamers who are experienced in the survival genre. The sound design is neat and conveys a real feeling of despair and horror, even if the visuals and the game design in general lack of variety.

Unquestionably, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is the best version of this second episode of the franchise. The remaster stands out with careful production, which makes the experience even more lively and pleasant both for the eyes and the controller in hand. However, it suffers somewhat from its aging. The arcade aspect, coupled with certain mechanics and a lack of renewal in the environments tends to be boring. In this sense, the title inevitably suffers from comparison with the third part, released on Switch, which offers a modernized and more effective formula. Therefore, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD would undoubtedly have deserved to be released before this sequel. It will therefore probably appeal more to those who have never tried Luigi’s Mansion 3. Despite everything, it is a nice opus, which has everything to restore its image after a mixed success on 3DS.

Crash Bandicoot fans can rest easy, Vicarious Visions didn't deface Naughty Dog's work. The three games look better than they ever have and play just as good as they used to. The NSane Trilogy is both fun and challenging and offers a good time to longtime fans of the original PlayStation's unofficial mascot. That said, people who didn't enjoy Crash Bandicoot games back in the 90s won't fall in love with the franchise thanks to this compilation.
