Syberia The World Before is a beautiful conclusion to the saga of Benoît Sokal. With a sublime art direction, a captivating universe and an episode that erases all the flaws of the much criticized Syberia 3, Microids delivers a last successful tribute to one of the monuments of point'n click. Its poignant story, its touching heroines, its mastered narration and its satisfying puzzles keep you on the edge of your seat for ten hours. An engaging and exotic adventure that is true a pleasure to play, despite some clumsiness at times. The PS5 and Xbox Series versions inherit some technical flaws and bring some nasty framerate drops that sometimes spoil some nice scenes. A pleasant version to play, despite some clumsiness.

The game is a worthy successor of its elders. The atmosphere is oppressive, so that we constantly have the feeling that a hand will come grab our own hands... Using the GamePad is truly immersive too. Nethertheless, threre's one big default: you should be exasperated by the slow movement of the characters.

No Man's Sky is an atypical game that offers an experience outside the norm. For one of the very first times (except Minecraft) we really have the feeling of macrocosmos. Technically one of the most successful AR games we have ever seen. It works perfectly, and seeing this book coming to life on the TV screen is a delight even for our adult eyes ... But of course it is dedicated to children (6 to 10 years)! They will be even more delighted when they take the magic wand in their hands and try to learn the most famous Harry Potter spells (the "adventure" is set in the same universe, thanks to a collaboration with JK Rowling). Too bad the game is so short, so repetitive and leaves us a little hungry once completed. When all the spells are learned we would like to put them into practice in an real adventure or a series of mini games, but no. A very good start for the Wonderbook anyway, full of promise. We are looking forward to get the next games using it.

Equipped with an almost non-stop "action" gameplay alternating phases on foot, skiing and climbing with a concept of taking cover using motion gaming, it is very easily placed in the list of the most popular VR games. more fun to play yet. However, we regret that the adventure ends fairly quickly (3 hours maximum), with an obvious lack of variety in terms of enemies and environments. The cel shading, associated with nice effects of light and particles, make Fracked a very beautiful game in virtual reality that does not have to be ashamed of what is done on competing platforms, especially since it is fully optimized for PS5 with maximized resolution.

WRC 10 is not a bad installment in the series, with its fair share of welcome novelties. The 50th anniversary mode finally allows you to take advantage of the discipline's old glories, and while we would have liked it to have been more fleshed out, it still makes an act of presence. The stable manager mode is also welcome, although it is still not understood why you have to end the previously mentioned mode in order to be able to access it. Undoubtedly the most striking feature is of course the arrival of the choice of tire allocation for the rally, which adds a good layer of strategy in certain events including the Monte-Carlo. Unfortunately, we feel that COVID has had its work, whether it is the proposed rallies that are no longer really in line with the 2021 calendar, more technical aspects of the game that have not changed a bit. Do not forget either that the license will change creamery in 2023, from KT Racing / Nacon to Codemasters / EA. This WRC 10 is therefore the penultimate opus of the French studio which will still have had the merit of bringing the series out of the mediocrity in which it stagnated, during the time when Milestone was in charge (the Metacritic ratings are from 80% on average during the Evolution Studios era to 60% during the Milestone era)

In conclusion, Sassy Chap has created a wild, but sincere dating sim that manages to be both funny and moving at the same time. Behind its unusual concept lies a gallery of carefully crafted characters, all of whom deserve to be known. A few concessions to aesthetics and even narrative are to be regretted, with the initial plot ultimately unfinished. The gameplay is as frantic and exhilarating, with an OST (sadly a bit limited) that literally takes us in a psychedelic LSD trip through Shit City. The experience is unfortunately marred by some frustrating shortcomings, such as a clumsy gunplay, leading us way too often to a quick and annoying demise, over and over again. Worst of all are the boss fights, extremely tedious, and in stark contradiction with the rest of the gameplay loop. Sadly, the 20-odd shoes that we can collect through a lot of hardship won't help, a lot of them adding funny effects to be sure, but rather useless nonetheless. Because in the end, that’s what we’ll remember the most about Replaced: its top-notch retro-futuristic design.

Battlefield Hardline manages to mix the teamplay of former episodes to the fast-paced rhythm of a Call of Duty. And kudos to Visceral Games in succeeding to deliver an effective solo campaign. Only regret, the game is not as nice-looking as its predecessors.

This episode is more surrealistic than ever, but such paranormal phenomenons boost the gameplay, while time travels expand the scope of this universe, and alleviate the linearity of the story. So let's kick the future!

Rise of the Ronin is the most ambitious game of Team Ninja and by far. Much more narrative than its predecessors, it unfortunately takes quite a long time to become really interesting. That's the risk when you want to create fiction when it doesn’t need to. But it is also the fault of an open world far behind a certain Ghost of Tsushima. In the end Rise of the Ronin is an open world game among many others, but with an ultra-dynamic, demanding and very deep gameplay.

Wario Ware Gold feels like the very best of the series to this day: with a few new mini-games and many old ones, this episode cannot hide the feeling of redundancy. But with its 300 microgames, many crazy modes and a ton of WTF gadgets, every player can now experience the craziness of Wario Ware. Too bad the hardcore crew already knows most of its content.

New World Aeternum is an interesting update that brings a host of new features for new and old players alike. There's a lot on the menu for leveling up, some welcome tweaks to a number of outdated areas, and some interesting new end-game content. The new PvP mode, which is more or less the same as mining, works extremely well, while the new (and first) 10-player raid will give you a run for your money. As far as the console port is concerned, on the controller, New World comes through with flying colors. Apart from a few hiccups in the menus and some odd mapping for certain actions, it's very pleasant and instinctive to hold. It's only visually, however, that the console version falls short. The various graphic modes on offer aren't particularly convincing, and the game relies far too heavily on its artistic direction to make up for its technical glitches. In this respect, we sincerely hope that patches will come along to correct the situation. For the rest, New World Aeternum on PS5 is a good pick in its genre.

Far from being unpleasant, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD still bears the weight of time. Although the golden age of 2D platformers is far behind us, many games, including those in the gorilla license, have modernized the formula in the last few years. This port to Nintendo Switch may therefore seem bland to the most fervent fans of the genre. However, it retains a flavour of yesterday that's a pleasure to savour in small doses, all the more so in the absence of a new opus. It has to be said that Donkey Kong's colorful, comic universe still works as well as ever. And let's not forget the soundtrack, just as memorable even fifteen years on. The game is even more enjoyable in two-player co-op mode. But, we're bound to raise our eyebrows at the €59.99 price tag for a remaster, which settles for the bare minimum.

EA Sports FC 24 has its fair share of additions. Major? No, not really. Useful? Yes, because they're mainly there to reinforce what has already been achieved, whether criticized or not, making this license one of the most popular cultural and videogame products purchased every year. That's the general feeling of EA Sports FC 24 that ensures its arrival and transition with efficiency.

Far Cry Primal is instantly pleasing to the senses and great to play. Stone Age is a really interesting setting and the whole map offers a lot of content and some great supporting characters. But from a certain point, you realize that the game lacks a solid story, charismatic antagonists, and that it's very repetitive.
