Criterion successfully blended its own style with the Need for Speed one - if you're not into scrutiny of the details. The fun is there, thanks to very accessible, arcade-y driving, and constant challenges to take on both in solo and multiplayer modes. But it's still difficult to excuse some shortcomings like the lack of visibility on some races, and poorly balanced take-downs that break the pace of the game more often than not.- Gameblog.fr

If you take Donut County for what it is - a short and weird experience - Ben Esposito's game will deliver a sweet moment of a strange experiment. Built as an anti-Katamari Damacy, the hole mechanics are really addictive and fun to play with, even though the game suffers from a very short length. But if you are curious enough to try something as weird as the most bizarre Japanese games, you might be in for a treat.- Gameblog.fr

Directive 8020 may not be the revolution some were hoping for, but it still stands out as an interesting evolution of The Dark Pictures formula. With this new title, Supermassive Games tries new things and experiments, offering us a narratively gripping adventure, though its gameplay unfortunately suffers from an approach that’s far too formulaic. It’s still a solid popcorn game, however, and will certainly appeal to fans of the genre and those who enjoy slightly goofy horror experiences.- Gameblog.fr

Bioshock The Collection on Switch is everything the home console versions brought us four years ago, but with a oh-so practical portable dimension, but also poorer graphics, thanks to a strong aliasing, and a frame-rate which cannot exceed 30 fps. But with three classical FPS games which already made history, the added DLC and many bonus gives us a good reason to dive again, on the go.- Gameblog.fr

Thanks to a selection of greater games, NES Remix 2 provides a more exalting experience, from both a pedagogical and nostalgic point of view. But some remixes still lack inspiration, despite indieZero's efforts to create varied tricks. There are a few wonderful ideas though, proving that quality was chosen over quantity. A nice first dice roll for Harebrained Schemes, but not a critical one. Shadowrun Returns boasts a solid-enough tactical gameplay, but doesn't use it fully enough on this first campaign. You won't feel threatened in combat, and the story is very linear - at least it's a good one. The atmosphere and the fantastic Shadowrun universe are its biggest strengths, so let's hope the community and Harebrained will enrich the game as much as it is worthy to be.- Gameblog.fr

Railway Empire is a good management game, interesting, deep and complex. But it is clearly not for beginners despite its presence on PS4 and Xbox One. The tutorial is too frail and we often end up going around in circles before finding the solution which make a run extremely time-consuming and artificially long. Despite that, this title has many interesting game mechanics, in particular the economy system which is a perfect representation of modern capitalism and what the history of the American railway might have been.- Gameblog.fr

Warcraft III Reforged is at least equal to itself and it is already something. Yes, its graphics engine fails to display a fluidity worthy of the finesse of its redesign. But the game mechanics, the storyboarding of the campaigns and augmented narration convince the player even more that he is facing one of the big names in the history of video games. With its touching story about this aspiring little writer girl struggling to process her feelings, Lost Words reveals to be a mostly narrative-driven experience. Following Four Last Things, Joe Richardson still used collage as a full creative process to compose visual sceneries from Renaissance paintings - an amazingly coherent blending of subtly animated visual elements - and produce absurd situations out of them. Hence The Procession to Calvary proves a radical work of arts, considering the extremely caustic, if not harshly crude humour, and the choice to cut literally the story short by characters' decapitations, with different endings as a result. Thus it depends on the player, often implicated through the fourth wall's breaks, to appreciate this decidedly subversive, personal production.- Gameblog.fr

Crash Bandicoot fans can rest easy, Vicarious Visions didn't deface Naughty Dog's work. Close to the Sun has a huge potential. Supported by a technique of good quality, it however lacks dynamism. It seems that remakes are a successful way for Marvelous to bring its historic license back to the forefront and ensure the transition from first Switch to its little sister. Avowed will definitely not revolutionize the RPG genre, but still represents a competent title in its category that does clearly not lack of interest and depth. Its exciting story dictated by our choices is indeed in line with the true “role-playing games” so dear to Obsidian, with superb artistic direction, and its gameplay is as dynamic as it is satisfying. However, several points may be off-putting. We can indeed blame its lifeless NPCs, a shaky balancing of difficulty in the face of a bestiary which quickly falls short in terms of diversity, like the exploration of these famous Living Lands, certainly very beautiful to contemplate, but a bit redundant in the long run.- Gameblog.fr

Those who are okay with this vision will love it, and some additions like Volta, very pleasant, are, with a better Career mode and an always addictive FUT, will help to keep playing it for the whole year, until FIFA 21.- Gameblog.fr

The gameplay of Aarklash Legacy, between Baldur's Gate and Demon's Soul, is a little bit repetitive, but it is very good. The universe, characters and graphics are also interesting. But the game is really aimed at hardcore gamers, who are not afraid of "Game Over" screens.- Gameblog.fr

A unique visual novel, typically Japanese, colorful and gory. It is good to see this kind of game in Europe, despite some of its flaws.- Gameblog.fr

Chaos on Deponia is an excellent point and click game that really suits PS4 - which was already the case with Deponia. It is visually superb and displays some fantastic arts and is really fun. We wish it could have brought some bonus like artworks with it.- Gameblog.fr

WWE 2K26 plays it safe and it shows. This year's entry feels, in many ways, like a close relative of its predecessor. It tinkers with certain aspects of the gameplay and content with mixed results, stopping well short of anything that could be called a reinvention or even a meaningful leap forward. And yet, there's something about a WWE 2K game that keeps you coming back- Gameblog.fr

Invincible VS is the refreshing fighting game we have been waiting for, both in terms of its art direction and its gameplay, inevitably frustrating for the one taking the hits, but hugely satisfying and enjoyable for the one dishing them out. The attack-defense balance is fairly well-tuned, with a slight lean toward aggressive play nonetheless, and the faithfulness to the source material is spot-on, with original content thrown in as a bonus. That content will need to be judged over time, and one can't help feeling that it would have been more compelling to tell stories from within the Invincible universe, letting some players relive the series' defining moments, rather than delivering a brand-new, standalone narrative.- Gameblog.fr

Borderlands 4 takes a turn that won't please everyone. In an attempt to satisfy some fans' requests, the developers have lost sight of the game's identity. It is less funny and striking than previous episodes, and it is only in its secondary content that we find some small, funny, offbeat stories. It's only after a few hours, or when playing in co-op with friends, that the game really comes into its own. Borderlands 4 is extremely generous and will keep you hooked for hours before you even reach the endgame. While it's undoubtedly a good shooter-looter, it's clearly not the best game in the Borderlands series.- Gameblog.fr

For all the fans of the Sam Raimi Franchise, Evil Dead: The Game is quite a blessing and a good asymmetrical game overall. Melee combats are great except in tight places, in this case, it can be really difficult to understand what's going on screen. We hope that Saber Interactive will continue to expand its game with new content.- Gameblog.fr

Actual Sunlight is a good narrative experience, which deals with mature and atypical themes. Despite a poor visual rendering, the story (witch is very short) is well written and gripping to the end.- Gameblog.fr

Fe softly fulfills its promise of delivering a charming adventure with a strong visual design. The game manages too keep its good ideas fresh, thanks to a double-powered system served by an well executed open world. On the other hand, Fe suffers from a stiff jump chart and a perfectible collision mechanics. But by balancing exploration and renewed puzzles, Sweden-based Zoink's game still deserves a decent ride.- Gameblog.fr

Disney Infinity 3.0 offers a better Toy Box, featuring more possibilities that are also more understandable and easier to use. And the Star Wars adventure included in the starter pack is really surprising by its qualities. Easily the best episode so far.- Gameblog.fr

Call of Duty Vanguard is a good vintage. Far from being revolutionary, he at least has the will to offer a new perspective on World War II. We quickly become attached to this motley group. It is especially on the multiplayer side that there is much to say. The good idea is to take the gameplay of Modern Warfare to the letter, or even too literally, because this brings the flaws of the title of Infinity Ward. Activision doesn't want to jostle gamers, offering content that has been seen and reviewed for years while adding a few well-felt niceties like Champion of the Hill mode. Clearly, the multiplayer is a bit above Cold War, would be only in the sensations controller in hand and on the gunplay in a general way. Call of Duty Vanguard is not the opus of the revolution, but clearly does the job, offering agame that will hold up for the year to come.- Gameblog.fr

If you have never played a Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, Storm Connections is clearly for you since it compiles the best, but also the worst of the previous games. The game fills its compilation function and pushes the fan service enough, with an original story touching enough, to invite itself on the library of a regular license also.- Gameblog.fr
