Deus Ex The Fall is a rather nice attempt at pushing a Deus Ex experience on touch devices; it works, but not flawlessly. With a less than stellar level design, some annoying bugs, and limited branching, The Fall seems to make the most of less than ideal devices, but do not think for a minute that it can go on par with the real thing on a full-fledged console or PC. Still very nice to play, though, as a point of entry to the series or a quick fix until a real sequel to Human Revolution.- Gameblog.fr

Aliens: Dark Descent is a great try at a tactical RPG in the movie franchise. Despite a certain lack of inspiration, the WarioWare company keeps having some ambition, potentially less lucrative than its greedy owner's. Thus Get It Together! favors efficiency over quantity with microgames by focusing on gameplay, customized for each - henceforth playable - character in order to provide different ways to play, yet in teams. The Switch's technological functions are therefore limited to the detachable controllers, a not so audacious approach for the franchise, contrary to the choice of such heterogeneous protagonists, reflecting the decidedly varied modes. Whether innovative or harebrained, this convivial evolution surely follows Wario's philosophy as a gambler.- Gameblog.fr

Paper Beast is a separate work in the PlayStation VR catalog. Its strange universe and its endearing beasts are its strengths, as is the beauty of certain panoramas, especially those at night, which undeniably allow the player to escape. Special mention to the sequence of the oil spill which seems to arise from a temporal fault ... The game mechanics partly recall a previous game by Eric Chahi, From Dust , but what a pity that only the travel by teleportation is proposed. Greedfall is not an RPG that is intended to play the leading roles of the genre. Limited as well by its technique, its fights and its relatively remote progression, although intriguing and therefore fascinating, the title still has a beautiful soul, shaped by its universe, its artistic direction, its writing, its themes, its music . So many attractive arguments that counterbalance its weaknesses, making Greedfall a game that can not be recommended to the greatest number but deserves attention to at least judge the effect of its charms.- Gameblog.fr

First thought as rogue-like, Genesis: Alpha One brings a lot of interesting management elements. Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night had everything to be a great game, but sadly weird decision made by Atlus such as the lack of a proper solo mode, the addition of a lot of non-remixed tracks hurt the overall experience. Ninja Theory took a very big risk with Hellblade 2, and the gamble paid off in part. By moving away from the extreme darkness of the first game, the studio avoids taking the easy way out or creating a feeling of repetition. Now, the title also has a more conformist form, a rhythm, dispensable NPCs and certain flaws that have only been ironed out, which may not appeal as much as the more intimate, anxiety-inducing first experience. Beyond the chance to catch up with iconic heroines, Life is Strange Reunion brings fans full circle with a duo they’ve grown up with—and, potentially, with the entire franchise. This fifth installment thus oscillates between emotion and frustration. Deck Nine takes great care to give Max and Chloe the most satisfying conclusion possible for fans, but unfortunately gets lost in a branching storyline it never quite manages to fully control. We’re left with pacing issues and unbalanced storylines, weighed down by ever-present visual glitches. It’s hard, however, to deny the joy as a fan, as the chemistry between the heroines remains as strong as ever. Despite a few missteps, we dive in with pleasure and excitement into a chapter that reignites the experience that moved us 11 years ago.- Gameblog.fr

Super Mario RPG is an excellent remake. The game is atypical and very old school, but has enough quality for us to give it our full attention, especially since the improvements are numerous. Graphic redesign, alignment of the artistic direction of the characters, adjustment of the quality of life... Super Mario RPG will be the perfect gateway for players who have never played an RPG in their life. Accessible and fun, it nevertheless remains interesting thanks to its combo system in combat and its small strategic dimension. Without being a real must-have, Super Mario RPG remains a very good vintage which will certainly have a place in the game library of lovers of the franchise and perhaps even in that of the curious.- Gameblog.fr

With American folklore blended in a steampunk universe and a TPS approach to strategy, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. is heterogeneous to say the least. Hence this absurdly over-the-top plot won't click for everyone, just like these mechanics controlled from such a low point of view may seem too basic for pure tacticians. But when its engine works at full steam, this intricate piece of retro futurism shows some bold character.- Gameblog.fr

Fort Solis is a thrilling narrative adventure. From start to finish, the tension is there, as is the desire to discover the truth about what's going on in the complex established on Mars. The characters make the journey even more compelling, thanks to the outstanding performances of the actors who play their roles. Unfortunately, the title concludes far too quickly and without ever satisfying our thirst for knowledge. The main plot only skims over the reasons for the tragedy, and it will take a great deal of willpower and dedication to try and understand the mysteries of Fort Solis. A bold choice, but one that's sure to divide.- Gameblog.fr

The expansion takes place on the Xylourgos planet, a surprising but welcome mix of Lovecraft and nordic cultures. It offers a great deal of action, guns and new creatures, but its gameplay and narration lack uniqueness, letting untapped potential.- Gameblog.fr

Ancestors Humankind Odyssey is a game which we embody the deans of humanity, immersed in the fascinating, extremely immersive and often moving adventure of the great story of life. However, Panache Digital Games has not completely managed to offer a game always technically up to the originality of his proposal. It is nonetheless a singular experience that arouses great sympathy and for which it would be a shame to miss out, especially if the few really disabling design flaws were to be corrected soon.- Gameblog.fr

Cat Quest 3 is a proposal in line with what Gentlebros had accustomed us to with the first two opuses of the license. The game loses some of the scope of the second installment. However, the call for adventure is there, reinforced by a sense of humor that wins us over. The story is short, but the ease of exploration makes you want to explore the open-world further. With two players, the pleasure is doubled. It's a pity that the legibility of combat is lost in multiplayer. Likewise, the quest system is being fine-tuned, but still needs to be consolidated to be effective. For around twenty euros, this third installment is well worth a look, if only to spend some quality time with family and friends, or even just for the pleasure of having some mindless fun with a game.- Gameblog.fr

Despite a slow start, this DLC offers an alternative vision and storyline that translates in the gameplay as well, and will undoubtedly please Assassin's Creed III's fans. Too bad, though, that it's fragmented in three episodes - in terms of price, it's best to opt for the season pass.- Gameblog.fr

Inviting amiibo figures already marks a welcome return to board games, both traditional and virtual, but Bowser's nomination as the master of asymmetrical ceremonies terrifically heats the party up.- Gameblog.fr

With Pullblox, Intelligent Systems definitely found a clever way to create puzzles with moving blocks, and it's a joy to share these angular riddles more easily through the Miiverse on Wii U, even if there are few new ideas.- Gameblog.fr

Beyond a Steel Sky is a a worthy follow-up to the original game. Its story, characters, atmosphere and puzzles are truly enjoyable and its comic book visuals are totally fitting. It's just too bad that it doesn't feel well polished and that some people will, more than surely, have some headaches because it's sometimes really tough to know what the next objective is.- Gameblog.fr

Nyamakop has successfully completed the requirements for a good puzzle-platformer: a charming art direction, with part of the world made of playdough, and a creative gameplay experience that allows the player to shape the environment. A little too short, Semblance is definitely a worthwhile game for the Nintendo Switch.- Gameblog.fr
