It’s been difficult to find anything negative in this downloadable content that Nintendo has created. With a perfect technical performance, and a musical quality at the level of the best Nintendo games, the Inkling world grows and becomes more mature and interesting than it already was.

This may be an expansion for a game that is essentially a multiplayer experience, but the solo campaign is the real attraction in Octo Expansion. If you couldn’t get into the multiplayer, give this a try.

Octo is an excellent expansion, even better than the original game campaign if you are looking for a really stiff challenge.

Overall, Octo Expansion is an absolute steal. At $20, you’re getting a very creative and engaging campaign that expands the world of Splatoon 2 with diverse gameplay, although a small portion of these levels feels like monotonous filler. Luckily, the ability to skip them mitigates this issue, but does little to assuage the fact that the majority of the bosses are rehashes.

While the fact that it's a modular design could be equated with laziness for some, Nintendo deserves credit for producing something robust and unforgiving that will test even the most dedicated of fans.

The Octo Expansion is a substantial DLC focused on single player campaign with great level design. Although the Autopass button is bad for players keeping passion to challenge, the DLC still successfully keeps Splatoon 2 fresh.

It's still a good time to play Splatoon, especially if you're up for a solo intermission and keep your expectations in check.

80 niveles nuevos unidos a una nueva y muy buena historia en las profundidades de este maravilloso universo. Supera a la campaña principal del videojuego en muchísimos apartados, y el diseño de niveles y la banda sonora no son la excepción.

It tells you some background stories about your favourite characters. Also those octolings are cool. At first i thought it's almost impossible to beat this DLC but it's actually not that hard. Just collect enough points on easy levels and skip hard ones to find those 4 details (or whatever they are called). Yeah, some of those levels are easy as hell. But some of them are soooo hard. Those require so much accuracy from you. But i just skipped those with Off The Hook's help. ;D Expand

With the Octo Expansion, I've been hooked from the moment I first started the expansion after getting it. It's more challenging, expands on the story, and brings a wider variety of levels to be experienced, along with being longer than the base campaign. Definitely a must-own for Splatoon 2 fans hungry for more singleplayer content.

Oh, and I didn't even mention that the music is absolutely fantastic.

I will try as much as I can mange. I did fork out £18 for it after all.
They worked hard on it, but it’s terribly elite and inaccessible to many... I can’t see youngsters enjoying this after a short while. Way too frustrating.
