RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is a leaner, meaner take on the RoboCop: Rogue City formula, trading bloated exposition and side content for focused, explosive action in a tight and stylish setting. It may not satisfy those who loved the slower, narrative-driven moments of the original, but for fans seeking a distilled and more mechanically satisfying Rogue City experience, this expansion delivers. With stronger level design, better pacing, and an atmosphere evoking the best of ’80s action, it’s a clear improvement.

Essentially, if you enjoyed RoboCop: Rogue City, then grab RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, as it’s essentially more of the same but with some tweaks here and there. If you haven’t played the original but you’d like to play a game in which you get to be RoboCop, either is fine, but certainly grab a copy, as it’s a lot of fun!

There's a lot to love in this expandalone, with many hours of fun shootouts, crime solving and cheesy one-liners

Is it flawless? Not quite. The new weapons are hit-or-miss, the flashbacks drag, and the performance issues are a blemish on an otherwise polished expansion. But in those moments when you’re stomping down a fluorescent-lit corridor, Auto 9 roaring, as RoboCop delivers a dry one-liner before blasting a goon’s head clean off—it’s pure, unfiltered nostalgia. For anyone who found themselves unexpectedly hooked by Teyon’s take on RoboCop the first time around, Unfinished Business is a worthwhile detour. It doesn’t aim to revolutionize the formula, but it doesn’t need to. It’s not a bold new chapter—it’s a brutal encore. And for fans of chrome-plated justice, that’s more than enough.

Unfinished Business plays it safe, delivering a solid dose of bloody action, gritty one-liners, and stylish destruction. The main storyline impresses with its atmosphere and presentation, while fans will appreciate the new weapons, enemies, and the nostalgic return of Peter Weller. Unfortunately, the side content feels like unnecessary filler that breaks the pacing and undermines Robo's authority and impact. For die-hard fans, it's a welcome expansion, for everyone else, a slightly above-average action snack.

Without reinventing the formula, Unfinished Business delivers exactly where it matters: a concentrated dose of retro, brutal, and stylish action that stays true to the spirit of RoboCop. By narrowing its focus, the game improves its pacing, clarity, and overall impact. The fan service is there, the shooting is satisfying, and despite a few bugs and aging tech, the experience holds up.

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is more of the brutal, authentic RoboCop power fantasy fans loved when it comes to its intense combat. Gunplay is as meaty and over-the-top as before for the series, with the iconic Auto 9 still stealing the show. However, the expansion comes with some uneven pacing and technical issues that weren’t present in the original. It’s one for fans of the first game’s action but be prepared for a few rough edges in its current state.
