RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business

Could it have more varied environments? Yes. Could the AI be a little sharper? Yes. But none of that prevents us from looking at an expansion that not only delivers, but expands on what we've seen before. RoboCop remains the law, and this time he proves it from the bottom to the top of Detroit.

Robocop: Unfinished Business doesn’t reinvent the wheel; it just straps some spikes on it and rolls it through a burning tower full of mercs. If you loved Rogue City, this is more of what made that game so surprisingly compelling: big guns, bigger satire, and a chrome-plated hero who never forgets his humanity. It’s a shame the polish wasn’t quite there, but if you can overlook the rough edges, there’s plenty of meat on this cyborg bone.

Unfinished Business offers a more action-driven and story-focused experience than the base game, with solid movie tie-ins and satisfying combat. However, the side content is weaker, and the RPG elements feel out of place. A fun 11-hour ride, though it misses the chance to fix some flaws from the original.

The jank and glitches present in RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business make it hard to give it a higher score, but this is about as fun as uncomplicated FPS games get. Buy it, blast through it over a weekend, smile the entire time.

With RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, Teyon delivers a stand-alone title that addresses some of the criticisms of the previous installment, but still deserves a ticket for the compromises it makes. The focus has shifted, putting you in the thick of intense police brutality in this faster-paced first-person shooter, with quicker access to action mechanics and tougher opponents. However, this comes at the cost of a less immersive world, due to limited freedom and exploration, and some lingering technical flaws - though it still delivers bursts of action-packed highlights that show Teyon at its best.
