If you're an moldu who's super-fan, be sure that I understand you, but don't be fooled. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is clearly underwhelming, and doesn't compare in any way to any other TPS in terms of quality. Imprecise, slow, poorly designed, we can't even recommend this Harry Potter game to the most tolerant fans.

In the Gothic games I once knew, to grab the teeth of a Razor, you had to know the required skill. To cook meat, you had to sit next to the fire and get your frying pan out. When you entered a house to steal something, you were promptly tossed outside by the owner. To progress, you had to study the factions. There was life, there was atmosphere. ArcaniA : Gothic 4 is but an empty shell masking no RPG, but just a poor action game with an undead story. What a waste.

Ninja Turtles are back from hell with their new TV show. But if the expectations for a well-crafted game were high, everything went wrong. Graphics, animations, bugs... the game reminded us of the poorest hours of the bad videogame age. Turtles fans, keep your memories from Turtles in Time on Super NES, it's clearly another dimension.

The idea of colliding the casual Kinect with the hardcore Mecha game Steel Battalion was interesting. In the end, sadly, it fails miserably because it simply doesn't work: the war you are trying to get through is not the one of the game but the one of getting the controls to work.

Thor is a prime example of the worst possible adaptations of movie blockbusters into video games. It's poor, painfully ugly, and barely playable, thanks to rigid animations and a complete lack of ideas.

PlayStation Move Heroes is one of those games that try to follow in the Wii party-games footsteps... not successfully. Movement recognition is quite effective here, but the gameplay really lacks fun. The illustrious heroes who were trapped in this deserve better.

Quite frankly, now that the point and click genre seems to be reborn again, with quality titles like the Sam & Max series or indie gems like Machinarium, it's hard to be lenient. Even though it has a decent length, and could satisfy some casual gamers, I can't really recommend this dull and soporific Black Mirror 2 to anybody. Even to be mean.

Combat of Giants : Dinosaurs 3D is all its title immediately suggests : a shoddy game. Even though it's quite likeable thanks to the dinosaurs-in-3D appeal, in termes of gameplay, we're drowning in the primitive soup of gameplay mechanics from which the video games emerged. It's so basic that if you may have fun the 5 first minutes, there's no way it might last beyond that.

Stuck between cheap jokes on our contemporary society and more gritty situations than others, the non-adventures of Larry Laffer seem definitely anachronistic. The fact of proposing something schooly, crazy or erotic is not crippling but we find ourselves here with the outcome corny of a series that was definitely thought extinct.

What a sad ending for the Harry Potter videogame saga this part 2 is. Solely focused on action, in order to give meaning to the PS Move but failing in doing so, this PS3 title a simple port of the Wii version. Visually below average, too linear and too short, this adaptation of Harry's adventures will only have appeal in the eyes of the yonger and most Potter-addicted gamers.

Fighters Uncaged has few content, and is flawed by a poor movement recognition and an underwhelming game system. Its atmosphere is non-existent, the opponents are more of a joke than a challenge. Steer away from that game.

This is a port that has been amputated of one half of its japanese counterpart (which had two Wii games in it instead of one), and most importantly that is unworthy of the animated series.

How to describe this new Naruto on the Wii ? An error, a joke, rip-off, an infamy ? Hard to tell, but one thing's clear : the game is completely and utterly disastrous. It's like the fillers of the anime : uninspired, tasteless, and botched.

If you were to find the perfect illustration of the downfall of Japanese RPGs, it would probably look like White Knight Chronicles II. Its combat system is wonky, trying to find the pieces of itself and finding only the player's weariness, its story and characters are so tasteless that one might wonder if we're still in 2011, and finally, its shameless recycling of maps and stuff from the first one doesn't do it any good. Only the multiplayer manages to linger on in our thoughts, baring a little esteem, but it's definitely not enough to dive into this tiresome adventure. Please don't fail on ninokuni like you ailed on this one, level-5, please.

In a few days, once the papers are about to finish it, Left Alive will return to anonymity from the beginning, carrying with it the secret of its existence. Thanks to it, we remembered the charisma of PlayStation's Front Mission years ago and how incredible Metal Gear is on so many aspects. An incomprehensible and catastrophic attempt to survive and infiltrate, bad on all fronts, Left Alive deserves now to rest in peace.

Kinect Joy Ride is typically the game that would have won everything to be playable with a traditional controller. Playing it with your body is a real stress, as it is completely approximative and capricious. Even with all your patience and goodwill, it's a failure you have to quickly forget!

Reliving some of the most popular missions of 007 definitely has something appealing. But the end result, is, alas, an abomination. It's a terrible, dull, and sometimes plainly unplayable FPS which, when it tries to diversify its experience (stealth, espionage, chase sequences), just adds more frustration and annoyance.

The feeling that remains after playing Mindjack, is that the game had a really nice concept, but screwed it over completely half-way through. Wait, not half-way, even sooner... like, right at the beginning. And so, we end up playing a poor action-shooter game, with no taste whatsoever, with average visuals at best, super repetitive action, not even able to correctly copy what's out there.

If you feel all fuzzy inside when thinking back about ancient gameplay, generic level design from the 90's, and dated visuals, if you're immune to boredom and kind of broke, there may yet be a slight chance for Blacklight to fit your needs. If that's not your case, you can always try the demo just in case, but you won't be able to say that I didn't warn you.

The worst defect a video game can have, is to be so poorly designed and/or implemented that it becomes unplayable. Which is the case of Sonic Free Riders, a perfect example of an opportunistic product, a rehash of an older title repackaged to take advantage of Kinect's launch window. Movement caption is poor, the environments are confusing, the menus probably are the work of the devil himself... to sum it up, this surfing experience was more of a nightmare than the dream we'd all love to play thanks to Back to Future 2.

Though its basic game design idea (trying to reach the bottom of a well as fast as possible) may be nice in theory, its execution in Splash or Crash is terminally ill by design. Its prohibitive price for only 10 look-alike levels, the possibility to choose, right from the get-go, an indestructible ball, and the lack of precision of the 3DS stick combined with the absence of a gyro-based control option make it absolutely worthless.

Very inspired by the Lucha Libre comic, Lucha Fury offers a really polished artistic direction, colorful visuals, and a fun mexican wrestling take on the atmosphere. But once you get your hands on the controller, it feels like you've been suplexed hard : the gameplay clearly lacks smoothness, the characters feel like they're ice skating all the time, collision bugs are legion, and there's latency in the execution of the combat moves... The special moves seem dull and there aren't any enemy really fun to battle. Levels are repetitive, poorly paced, musics can make you crazy... it's the typical example of a beat'em all with a world and atmosphere that would have been perfect for the genre, if only the gameplay wasn't a real mess.

It would be easy to consider this Shinobi as true heir to its ancestors, since it's a sidecroller with a high difficulty and a white ninja. But unlike the cult ons on the Genesis, Shinobi on the 3DS doesn't answer to the required visual, technical, and narrative standards of its era. Its difficulty is more the result of collision bugs than careful or creative level design, and its general atmosphere is poor, at best.

Unlike Rambo: The Video Game, Terminator Resistance does not have this thing more (or less) adding a nice aspect to its nullity. Here, production value has grown, Treyon offering this time a title first thought for those wanting to fall asleep in less than two or designed for time travelers, the title edited by Reef Entertainment seems not only zapped movies after T2 but the evolution of FPS and video game for fifteen years. Nevertheless, by drawing all the same here and there in the ideas to success of the kind, it is a beautiful base of student project which is offered to those eager to hurt themselves.

We give The Quiet Man a point because it exists, and some people worked on it, but it is easily one of the biggest trainwrecks in the history of video games. Gameplay is awful, narrative is awful... nothing can be saved, and no one would ever have the patience to play it once and then download the New Game Plus DLC that includes sounds to understand something. It's just too painful.

To cut a long story short, Postal 4 is a big joke. A joke sold for 40€. A very bad game that, as a bonus, is obviously happy to be so. There is nothing to save. It's not provocative, it's not satirical and it's certainly not "outrageously funny" as the studio tries to oversell it. In reality, Postal 4 is a dumping ground for bad ideas that are poorly interwoven and in bad taste. The whole thing is crushed under a bunch of bugs too numerous to enjoy and graphics that are too good to look at. In the end, apart from the sporadic presence of Jon St John's voice, there's nothing that could save the game from absolute ruin.
