We are clear that Terminator: Resistance does not come to compete with the great first-person shooter, but to demonstrate the possibilities offered by a title based on the universe of John Connor. Fans of the saga already have a title with which to face Skynet.

This is not the Terminator game you have been waiting for. However, in a world that has subjected the license to countless sloppy video game adaptations, Terminator: Resistance shines among them as a beacon of hope. Teyon won't win any awards for this, but there is a clear love for the Terminator franchise and plenty of effort to back it up. Which is more than can be said about most licensed games, past and present.

A rather bad experience with a total lack of any interest in both its gameplay and story, accompanied by aging graphics.

Terminator Resistance is yet another faulty game based on a movie. The fanservice is the best part of the entire game. Next to that, the graphics are bad, the Terminators are not that intelligent or frightening, and the world and missions are not interesting. Which could have been a shooter to remember has turned out to be another bad part in a series of bad iterations.

Terminator: Resistance continues the trend of bad Terminator games and is better off being Terminated into the bin. You won’t be back to play this one, that’s for sure.

Unlike Rambo: The Video Game, Terminator Resistance does not have this thing more (or less) adding a nice aspect to its nullity. Here, production value has grown, Treyon offering this time a title first thought for those wanting to fall asleep in less than two or designed for time travelers, the title edited by Reef Entertainment seems not only zapped movies after T2 but the evolution of FPS and video game for fifteen years. Nevertheless, by drawing all the same here and there in the ideas to success of the kind, it is a beautiful base of student project which is offered to those eager to hurt themselves.

I am glad that I was not guided by so-called 'professional' reviews, but by the voices of other players because it seems that the taste of reviewers and players is getting more and more different.
The game has a brilliant atmosphere, also the graphics is quite decent (I've seen both Xbox One X and PS4 Pro version). Night missions look great and scarry (very nice lighting and fire effects - just like in the movies). You can feel the atmosphere of fear all the time, a mission in the hospital, where we have to sneak between Terminator patrols, without having a weapon that could damage them, is great! I also like the story - better than any Terminator movie after the second part. I hope this game will be successful enough to make the next part. I have waited so many years for a game like this in the Terminator universe and I hope that there will be more of them now.

Not just good but I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. If you need that Terminator itch scratched, this will do it and then some. Gameplay is solid and story is one of the best terminator storylines to date.

It's the third Terminator film people wanted all along and brings the story full circle in a masterful way. My only complaint is that it's too short, but it's a hell of a ride. The best review/video to watch is the one from Civvie 11. Expand

The aesthetics, the atmosphere, the music, the sound effects, everything pays true homage and respect to the original two movies. They even made an excellent effort going deeper into the lore of Terminator, which was very impressive. You can tell that while the developers were working on an AA budget, they first and foremost wanted to be loyal to the franchise - something we haven’t truly seen since arguably 1991 when Terminator 2 came out. I think they used a lot of the original licensed music as well, and those 1980’s synthesizers really make the tone of the game feel so true to the original two movies.

The game itself is good. It blends a lot of different ideas together, and while none of them really shine in any way, they are all fine. Regarding the gameplay alone, this game feels like it’s a very well polished game from the Xbox 360 era. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing, but it just had a slightly dated glaze to the way it plays. It feels like Fallout 3 without the VATS system. There are some semi-open areas, there are some more narrow missions, there are some fairly intense cat and mouse missions similar to how Alien Isolation plays. It’s not quite a shooter, it’s not quite an RPG, it’s not quite a horror, but it’s very solid and enjoyable. It does feel a little janky at times due to the budget - some graphical glitches, some design glitches, some super rigid animations, the writing is sometimes pretty awkward, the voice acting is not top shelf, but everything I mentioned in the first paragraph makes up for it all.

To be fair, my view of this game may be slightly biased because I am a huge fan of the franchise. This is a true love letter to the franchise, loaded with easter eggs and references, but the core gameplay and presentation is a bit janky. Still a great effort and enjoyable game. Also while the Infiltrator Mode is far from perfect, it’s actually really fun being able to play as the bad guy. Truthfully it’s closer to a 6/10, but being biased and a huge fan of the franchise, their respect for the first two movies made me knock it in a point.

This game is a good game. The levels are different open world levels that you have an objective to complete.

It has been described as "Fallout light" I think that is fair as it is very similar to Fallout, though the multiple choice endings could've had more polish as it ends with a slideshow with what happened to each character. Your actions have consequences so if you do the side quests which are supplied by characters, you can grow a relationship and change the outcome. These side quests are fetch quests, but they are in the open world mission so you can complete them whilst completing the main mission so it okay.

Also there are romance scenes, you don't see anything. I don't really think they are needed, but who cares.

You can complete a couple times and it takes around 10 hours for one play through, it took me a bit longer first time.
